Chapter 110 Chapter 32: Forgive Me Princess, But You Must Die.
Lucifer stood with his eyes watching the knights, his mind blank as the battle was nearing the loud sound of the ground being churned by the galloping warhorses and muscular knights all over levelled for the current state of his knowledge.
He wanted to scream at himself, but his body and mind were stunned... If this battle weren't won, then Gwendolyn would die.
What do I do?
Would he watch her die once again...? A moment of panic and terror overwhelmed him before a soft, gentle hand grasped his.
"Darling, are you nervous?"
Gwen's fingers intertwined with his as she looked at him with her golden hair and the faint scar now like a rose on her cheek.
"This battle, would you let me lead?" His heart began to accelerate, feeling a sense of terror at even the thought he lost control of the situation, but the moment she asked, and her soft lips kissed his cheek...
Calm...
He felt her calm eyes staring into his with nothing but passion and a deep love that his fears melted into the void like sugar in hot water.
"I'm going now, darling—cover my back." Gwen smiled mysteriously and approached while hugging Lucifer tightly, feeling her soft body meld against his muscular form perfectly...
They were one as her eyes shut, focusing intensely as Lucifer remained close—looking behind to make sure Irina, Lephalia, and Layna were ready as the twenty templars stood with spears and shields beside them.
She pulled away with a smile before her body shimmered with silver light, as silver armour covered her body, from head to toe, with a helmet covering Gwen's beautiful hair and features, only showing a small face protector revealed her perfect pink lips before Lucifer realised she approached Dalton Hargreave with frightening speed as her six wings tore through the air, holding a silver spear and wearing such heavy armour.
Lucifer could only watch as his eyes narrowed and began to transform himself—he turned to the templar and girls, ready to give them orders to follow and support Gwendolyn, no matter what.

?Gwen POV?
I could feel his intense fear of losing me again, crippling his judgement, and my heart couldn't bare to make him worry about me, so I forced myself to face this battle first, hoping it would be enough to make him snap out of that fear.
The feeling of the wind rushing through her hair felt liberating as Gwen's body approached the knights faster than they could react, her fingertips pointing forward as silver spears formed in the sky and
Instantly, the spears shot across dozens of them, piercing through metal and bone.
Stab! * Thud *
Dalton Hargreave turned to avoid several of the sharp spears, but his troops had little time to react and were pierced with several silver stakes as his horse stopped to kneel—Gwen landed nearby swiftly with smooth movements, releasing more silver bolts to shoot straight through countless chests of approaching warriors.
Her eyes were void of human emotions; the men felt like they were fighting a monster or divine being as she cut through bodies, evading Dalton Hargreave's sword while repeatedly jumping through the air, swiftly fluttering her wings to escape, showering hundreds more as knights cried and watched their comrades falling beneath the terrifying figure of silver steel cutting their fellow warriors to shreds...
Their eyes focused entirely on the speed she moved with immense fluidity, using her six snow-white wings to boost towards their faces—Gwen released mana, creating several silver javelins that flung precisely to remove anyone daring to approach her as Dalton Hargreave watched in silence; however, the moment he pulled the strange red sword from his back...
Flames erupted, and Gwendolyn's wings and armour returned to the usual leather as she fell forty feet to the ground below.
The impact of her loss of the Valkyrian bloodline's power caused her to lose control and fall while spiralling rapidly as Lucifer rushed forwards to catch her, seeing Gwen's beautiful armour disappearing, and her clothes were burnt from Dalton Hargreave's sword flames as he leapt high in the air...
Lephalia saw Lucifer rushing quickly with Layna and Irina—throwing her spear with a spin—it exploded in white light, clashing with Dalton Hargreave's weapon as he grimaced, knocked backwards from the blast.
But the spear was destroyed...
Rapidly, Lucifer's transformation was also half destroyed; his wings began to bleed and tear apart, with blood and flesh oozing from the wounds, the sword on Dalton's back vibrating as Lucifer reached out and caught Gwen. Her lips and nose oozed blood as she looked at him with shimmering eyes.
My hero... you came to save me, even when your wings are tattered, and you're in so much pain... Hehe.
He could hear his own heart thumping as Gwen lay in his arms while coughing blood... "What did you do!"
Looking towards Dalton Hargreave rising to his feet with a dark expression—his body disappeared and appeared behind Lephalia in a blur as she turned, only to see the horrific state of Lucifer, who was covered in scars and burn marks, but the sword of Dalton seemed to reach its limit and also exploded...
However, this moment gave his knights a chance to reform... Now, ready to crush the small group of twenty or so...
"Let Gwen heal... I will hold the enemy off." Lucifer's voice was so deep and filled with confidence as he left her in Irina's arms while Lephalia watched him leave.
"Unwanted Princess of Sin. Your ugly, scarred face is a testament to the Queen's wishes! You should lay down your life happily for your sister!"
Dalton Hargreave shouted arrogantly, causing Lucifer to walk calmly towards him with a cruel smile as Layna and the templar stood around Gwendolyn. Irina used her holy magic to begin healing her internal wounds while Lephalia stood at the front with her shield and mace—she stared at the approaching host of knights and mercenaries, but suddenly, a large shadow covered the plain.
[Lucifer POV]
Never... did I think that legendary items that could nullify and cause a backlash of dark creatures' bloodlines would be shown so early... Before we can get defences towards them...
Is this what Celestia meant about things becoming harder?
"Shut your mouth, a mere simp who is obsessed with the bitch queen," Lucifer said in his deep, angry voice that echoed even back to Serena and her knights as she giggled to herself.
They are all level seventy and above... Dalton is level ninety, maybe more due to this stupid bugged world, and I cannot use my Crimson Eclipse...
However, it seemed that his transformation wasn't completely undone—with his sharp claws and two wings remaining, he had a basic flight and powerful weapons.
Yet, he worried... because Lephalia and Irina could barely scratch these knights... their spears ready, pointing towards him as options began to vanish completely.
"You dare insult our queen!?" Dalton screamed, his body like a truly broken existence, darted across the land faster than most could see the hundred-yard difference as if it were only a few steps.
His sword glowed crimson red as Lucifer raised his palm, the talons glowing black—they met head-on, causing an explosion of energy to tear apart the land while Dalton Hargreave appeared unscathed.
However, Lucifer was also uninjured... but his heart sank... I can only defend... I am weaker...
These knights... are levels seventy to eighty! How are they so strong...!?
What happens if Gwendolyn dies?
At this moment, Lucifer remembered what Celestia had said... he would destroy the world if she died in this pivotal event.
The knights, seeing their commander doing well, suddenly charged, hearing his shout, causing Lucifer's eyes to narrow; he lifted his right arm as the sword of Dalton sliced across his chest; gritting his teeth, he ignored the damage.

∟Fireball
∟Fireball
∟Fireball!
Six huge fiery balls of flame shot towards the knights that tried to rush past him, the heat turning the ground into burned waste before the explosions engulfed them in raging flames—their armour and bodies instantly melting while Lucifer kicked Dalton Hargreave in the abdomen, forcing him back.
Seeing the host of knights attempting to recover and surround Lucifer, Lephalia's eyes turned crimson—she gripped her spear and ran with Irina and Layna following swiftly.
Her body grew slightly as the bloodline activated, and her skin became tanned slightly with fangs, grinning like a beast towards the terrified mercenaries who believed their foes were weak...
The flames of Lucifer's fireball lowered their health to enough that even Lephalia, in her beast rage and Irina's skilled mace usage, could kill them.
"Foolish monster! You defend such an impure woman!"
Dalton's sword sliced the cheek of Lucifer, who tore part of Daltons' chest open, turning his silver armour into scrap metal.
"She is purer than even the goddess! You derrange loser!" Lucifer roared as his claws tore apart the ground—with his double buff of Full burst and Blood Rage, his muscles and blood were surging as it leaked from his bloodshot eyes and ears, but this was for Gwen!
He tried to turn and help the girls, hearing nothing but screams, shouting, and the clash of steel behind him—however, Daloton's sword cut through the air, almost slicing off his nose...
"Do not run, monster... let me carve you up before I kill that vile slut!"
"Laying with monsters? hahaha!" Dalton Hargreave laughed while swinging his blade towards Lucifer's neck—but he dodged, noticing a knight behind with his spear, stabbing towards his heart.
?Full Burst?? Double Cast? #
∟Vampiric Drain!
His claws glowed with red energy as the knight behind Dalton was turned to shrivelling corpses in seconds, restoring most of the lost damage to Lucifer, who smashed Dalton with a headbutt, causing his brain to rattle—twisting his body, he threw several fireballs into the battlefield with loud bangs, killing and maiming more troops, but in his eyes the bloody scene of the templars and his beloved women fighting with cuts and wounds building up...
Damn it...
It was a that moment... a strange roar of beast-like humanoids with racoon ears... sounded from the south.... from behind the knights... a strange creature in the trees running and swinging between the trees...
As Lucifer's eyes widened.
Taking advantage of? his broken focus and moment of relief, a sword pierced his chest from behind.
Dalton's laughter began to fill the battlefield...
"Hahahaha! The monster is dead, Oh Forgive me princess, but you must die!"
