Chapter 582 Life Skills 101
?Villain Ch 582. Life Skills 101
Allen chuckled, well aware of Gerry's dramatic flair. "Relax, I've taken care of everything. Besides, you've got your own stuff to worry about."
Gerry rolled his eyes, not fully convinced. "Well, at least let me know if you need any help. You can't just disappear without a trace."
Allen patted Gerry on the shoulder, a gesture that was a mixture of reassurance and amusement. "Don't worry, I've got it under control. But if I need a hand, you'll be the first to know."
Allen and Gerry's attention shifted as the Pilates class concluded, and members started to pour out. The familiar routine was about to take a turn they hadn't anticipated.
Gerry, in his typical fashion, raised his hand, ready to wave enthusiastically at Larissa. However, his demeanor quickly changed. A cringe twisted his features as his gaze landed on Sophia emerging from the classroom.
In a sudden panic, Gerry swiftly lowered his hand and turned to Allen, a look of disbelief and regret etched across his face. "I swear I didn't say anything about this gym," he blurted out, his words rushed and filled with anxiety.
Allen raised an eyebrow, shooting Gerry a quizzical look. "What are you talking about?"
Gerry leaned in, lowering his voice as if sharing a top-secret revelation. "Sophia. She's here. In the gym."
A puzzled expression crossed Allen's face. Sophia's sudden appearance seemed to be causing Gerry more distress than warranted. "So? People join gyms. It's not a big deal."
Gerry, however, seemed on the verge of a minor meltdown. "No, you don't get it. I didn't tell her about this gym. I swear."
Realization dawned on Allen, and he couldn't help but let out a chuckle. "Gerry, calm down. It's just a gym. She probably found it on her own."
But Gerry was far from reassured. "I've got a bad feeling about this, man. I didn't sign up for drama in my workout routine."
Allen chuckled at Gerry's visible distress, a relaxed demeanor evident in his response. "Don't worry about it. It was Gilbert who probably spilled the beans. We met him at the café in the restaurant next to the gym, right? So, it's very easy for her to guess that we're members here."
Gerry's expression shifted to a mix of relief and annoyance. "Sorry for Gilbert, too," he muttered.
Allen waved off the apology. "It wasn't his fault. Besides, what's important is that I managed to keep my move-out plans a secret."
Gerry, now somewhat reassured, nodded. "Roger that. But, man, this gym just got a whole lot more complicated."
Allen raised an eyebrow. "Complicated? It's just a gym, Gerry."
Gerry leaned in, whispering conspiratorially, "Not when your ex is in the same gym you're in, dude. That's a recipe for disaster."
Allen couldn't help but smirk. "Relax. We'll manage. Besides, it's good practice for the real world's problems, right?"
Gerry shot him a skeptical look. "Practice for what? Dodging awkward conversations and avoiding eye contact?"
"Exactly," Allen replied, his smirk widening. "Life skills 101."
Sophia was determined to find Allen amid the exercise equipment and bustling atmosphere. Her eyes scanned the room, and she quickly noticed a subtle shift in the attention of some pilates members. Following their glances, she pinpointed the source of their distraction—it was Allen.
A frown creased Sophia's forehead as her gaze honed in on him. Irritation flared within her, fueled by the realization that the other members were stealing glances at her (ex) boyfriend. She couldn't help but think, 'Stop checking out my boyfriend. Find another man!' Despite the break-up, a possessive streak lingered, and seeing others eyeing Allen stirred a twinge of jealousy.
However, even in the midst of annoyance, a begrudging acknowledgment crossed her mind. Allen did stand out from the crowd. His presence exuded a certain charisma that drew attention, whether intentional or not. His athletic physique, combined with an air of self-assuredness, made him a noticeable figure in the gym.
'Oh wait... was his body like that before? Are his muscles that big?' Sophia's mind raced with surprise as she observed Allen's physique. A frown crept onto her forehead, and her gaze lingered on his gym attire, noting the noticeable changes in his body. It dawned on her that this was the first time she had seen him dressed for a workout, and the revelation brought forth a mix of emotions.
Her thoughts spiraled, questioning whether Allen's muscular form had always been this prominent. The realization hit her, and she couldn't help but wonder if this was the reason other girls were drawn to him. The gym seemed to have sculpted his body into a more robust and defined shape.
Sophia found herself intrigued, her curiosity piqued by the discovery. Allen's physical transformation became a focal point, and she couldn't deny the appeal of his well-toned muscles. While she maintained an air of nonchalance, the revelation sparked a series of musings about the changes she hadn't noticed until now.
Larissa's cheerful voice cut through the gym ambiance as she approached Allen and Gerry. "Hey, eating as usual?" she quipped, a playful grin adorning her face.
Allen responded with an easy nod. "Sure, just can't stay too long today. Got some things I need to work on," he explained, glancing at the clock.
"Okay, I'll change clothes first. I'll wait for you in the lobby," Larissa said, her enthusiasm undeterred. Allen acknowledged her plan with a nonchalant "Okay," as Larissa prepared to head to the changing room.
Before she moved away, Larissa leaned in and whispered conspiratorially, "Also, your ex is really here."
Allen couldn't help but chuckle at the mention of Sophia's presence. "Yeah, I knew," he replied, a knowing smirk on his face. Larissa left them, leaving Allen and Gerry to wrap up their gym session.
With Larissa gone, Allen and Gerry exchanged glances. "Let's go. We also have to change," Allen suggested, rolling his eyes with a smile.
Gerry nodded in agreement. They gathered their belongings and made their way to the changing room.
Allen and Gerry were about to make their way toward the changing room, a voice interrupted their casual banter. "Hey, Allen," Sophia's voice called out, catching them off guard. The duo turned to find Sophia approaching with a forced smile on her face.
