Ushering In The Internet Era In The Magical World

Chapter 2: Popularize

Chapter 2: Popularize

Yu Sheng'an and Rosia tested out the Internet Divine Skill. They hastily spread it out after making sure it worked!

He stood in front of the castle's magical teleportation well and breathed in deeply. Then, he tossed a hundred mithril rings into the well.

A teleportation beam flashed into existence and a hundred mithril rings disappeared in the teleportation array.

They would appear in the capital of the Queville EmpireWillis City.

That was one of the 1026 teleportation portals marked out by Don, and the place specially chosen by Yu Sheng'an to spread his divine skills.

The Queville Empire was situated at the south of the Aizea Continent.

Its territory wasn't big. But, it was a rare magical kingdom.

The whole empire based its operations on magic and rejected the deities. The divine skills were the Five Main Righteous Deities's only influence there. They didn't even have the right to build churches in its territory.

In fact, the divine skills were only being used by mages as back-up magic.

Yu Sheng'an began to wait anxiously after having tossed the mithril rings.

He had planned to use that period of time to learn about magical knowledge systematically, but he soon realized he couldn't calm his mind down to learn.

Finally, a mithril ring was activated an hour later.

Yu Sheng'an located that particular ring immediately and initiated his Deity's Perspective with the power of divinity.

A scene appeared in his mind instantaneously.

He saw a young mage apprentice in white robes flipping through the almost blank Internet pages and scoffed, "Where does this false god come from? Internet Divine Skill? What a joke!"

He crushed the mithril ring after saying that.

Crushed

"Damn you" Yu Sheng'an's expression froze on his face before he yelled, "Just you wait, you as**ole. I'll see if you have the guts to remain offline for the rest of your life!"

Before Yu Sheng'an could finish yelling, the other mithril rings he had tossed out were activated one after another.

Yu Sheng'an no longer cared about the significant first user and quickly checked on the others.

He didn't expect to see that all the mithril rings that were activated would soon be shut down one after the other.

Many rings were even reduced to raw material.

Yu Sheng'an was dumbfounded and was no longer agitated.

His expression darkened.

Something's not right!

According to his expectations, even if the appearance of the Internet didn't cause a huge stir, at least the first few people who picked up the mithril rings should have been thrilled to receive it!

Even though that world had magical letters, owl couriers, lightning messengers and other forms of communications as replacements, they were still unable to replace the convenience of real-time communication the Internet could provide, right?

Family, friends, businesses, mercenaries and kingdoms Were there any groups he could miss out?

So, what was the problem?

Just as Yu Sheng'an was trying to figure it out, another mithril ring was activated.

Yu Sheng'an looked down and saw a young girl flipping through the social media page curiously as she exclaimed, "Woah, this looks fun. Brother, you should come and engrave it too. Let's try and see if we can talk to each other!"

The young man next to her became grave as soon as she said that. He snatched away the mithril ring and lectured her, "Have you forgotten what our teachers said? Those who use divine skills would be watched by the deities!"

The Deity's Perspective broke off even before he finished speaking, but Yu Sheng'an jerked up with an enlightened look in his eyes!

No wonder no one wanted to use the Internet Divine Skill. So, that was the crux of the problem!

So, they feared a breach of their privacy?

However, Yu Sheng'an couldn't really feel happy even after having found the reason.

Because this was quite a difficult hurdle for him to resolve.

Only believers were unafraid of being watched by the deities.

Maybe they even wished for the deities to watch over them!

The question was, could he preach?

Even if he could bring all the tried and tested doctrines from Blue Star, the Five Main Righteous Deities would define him as a false god and exterminate him before he could popularize them.

Yu Sheng'an fell into silence at that moment.

He was still a greenhorn in the aspects of social interactions!

He thought that his transmigrant status would enable him to shock and awe, and control the world easily if he brought out stuff from another era.

But, reality was indeed that cruel!

Yu Sheng'an had a premonition that the Internet Divine Skill would only be used sparsely, even if he tried to popularize it aggressively.

Those with the means would reject his Internet Divine Skill, even if they had to use expensive magical tools.

The only way to succeed was to persevere.

However, that wasn't what Yu Sheng'an wished to see.

He was too weak. Apart from having divinity, he was just a mere mortal.

He would have no means to defend himself once the Five Main Righteous Deities found their way there.

He still wanted to go home, and he wanted a glorious homecoming!

Hence, he needed power and he needed to obtain it as quickly as he could!

Receiving elementium, driving the divinity and receiving power indirectly was the quickest method he could think of.

At least, it was much simpler than cultivating magic.

Yu Sheng'an exhaled before he turned around and left the magical teleportation well.

He began to wander around the old castle aimlessly. His brain seemed to be both empty and full of ideas at the same time.

He liked to pace around when he pondered over issues.

He didn't understand why that world couldn't accept software to invade their privacy when many people on Blue Star accepted that willingly.

Were there no other solutions apart from the believers?

Under what kind of circumstances, would a person still use divine skills even when they knew the deities would be watching?

Yu Sheng'an suddenly halted his footsteps when he asked himself that question and his eyes lit up.

He had come up with a solution!

...

...

Rosia had noticed Yu Sheng'an's gloomy face from afar.

She decided to return to her room quietly and pretend she didn't know anything after giving it some thought.

She decided not to appear in front of Yu Sheng'an unless he summoned her, or when she needed to deliver his meals to him, since she could clearly see Yu Sheng'an was in a terrible mood.

If she had guessed correctly, the spread of the Internet Divine Skill wasn't successful!

It wasn't surprising at all; that Internet Divine Skill was unable to attack, defend or empower.

It would be a miracle if it could spread out in that dangerous world!

Therefore, it would be for the best not to appear in front of him and incur his wrath at the moment.

Even though he had always behaved in a refined and cultured manner, didn't her cousin also behave like a gentleman?

In the end, he still massacred her entire family just for the sake of an aristocratic title.

Rosia began to feel bored after she returned to her room.

The ancient castle was massive, but she was the only sentient being apart from her Master.

This also had to do with her former Master, Don, who was a magical deity. He trusted magical puppets more than other sentient beings.

She even missed the times when her old Master Don was around.

He alway had endless magical projects to research on and he would assign all kinds of missions to her, so she was alway busy.

Sometimes, she could even leave the castle to purchase magical materials. That was her happiest time.

Everything had changed. She felt even lonelier when she had nothing to do.

Cultivation?

Forget it!

Her fate had long been intertwined with the castle. She would perish instantly if the castle collapsed, so it didn't matter whether she cultivated or not. She was just a ghost.

Time flew by.

Rosia went to the library on a certain day. She decided to get a grimoire to kill time after looking at the dozens of travel journals and poetry books that she had read many times before.

However, she quickly lost interest in the mysterious and dry grimoire because she didn't have an internal driving force.

Overwhelmed with boredom, she suddenly noticed the ring on her index finger.

That was the mithril ring which held the Internet Divine Skill her new master had created.

She had only worn it to express her allegiance.

She activated the Internet Divine Skill after she pondered for a moment.

There was only Yu Sheng'an in her Friends List, who was added during the test.

She knew Yu Sheng'an wouldn't send any messages to her, but she still decided to log in to have a look.

However, she was stunned by the unexpected newly-added window buttons when the virtual scroll interface was unfurled.

Forum?

Library?

What the heck are they?
