Untamed: The Alpha

Chapter 528 IT’S TIME

Chapter 528 IT'S TIME

How long had it been since the last time he saw his sister? When was the last time he met with July?

She withdrew from her acting career and then disappeared, but that was not all, she actually helped the McKeltars because she was in love with Knox McKeltar.

She helped those supernatural creatures and built a strong safehold for them along with the people, who believed they were not bad creatures and they should live side by side with humans, just like when they didn't know that they existed.

"I let them live in this house," Aaron told him, as they stood in front of a small building with a rusty fence that could be easily trespassed.

"When did you bring them to East Draghar?" Sol asked. He looked at Aaron darkly, while the devil didn't even bother at all with the hostility that he displayed.

"A month ago," Aaron answered truthfully, there was nothing for him to lie to. "She came looking for me because she needs a shelter for her daughter."

"Why?" Sol pushed open the fence, height of which only reached his hips.

"Because Chaos is going to kill her daughter," Aaron said, he intentionally only told him little by little, to build up his curiosity and added to the tension, which annoyed Sol greatly.

"What did my niece do to anger him?" Sol stopped walking right in front of the door and turned his body to face Aaron. How old was his niece to anger someone like Chaos?

Aaron grinned. His golden eyes glinted in delight when he said the most important thing. "No, your niece didn't anger Chaos, but he is going to kill her anyway, because she is his shattered soul."

"What?!" Sol was surprised, he couldn't find a word in response to that, but then he remembered something. "Is it Knox? My niece's father is Knox McKeltar?"

Sol knew a few people that were Chaos's shattered souls and one of them was Knox, the exact same supernatural creature that his sister fell in love with.

At that time, he didn't care about that, but right now, he felt disgusted only by hearing that fact, yet here his sister was, asking for protection from the devil.

"How could my sister ask for your help?" Sol studied Aaron's face, but there was nothing that he could read, the depth of his thinking was beyond his comprehension.

Aaron winked at him. "You can ask your sister, since you will meet her, after all, you will need a topic to talk to her, as it has been a few years since the last time both of you met with each other."

And with that, Aaron pressed the doorbell and disappeared from before Sol's eyes, which left him standing there alone, waiting for his sister to open the door.

It didn't take a long time, because he heard some sounds from inside and soon, the door was opened.

It was not someone that he expected to meet first, because it was not his sister, but a little girl, who had a pair big blue eyes, the color that Sol knew very well. If Aaron didn't tell him about the existence of July and Knox's daughter, he would have guessed it by now.

"Hello," the girl greeted him, she showed him a toothy smile and blinked at him curiously. "Who are you?" She asked in an excited voice. It had been a while since someone had come to this house and her mother didn't allow her to go out in the middle of the day like this anymore.

Thus, Rhea would only be able to go out when it was dark.

"Is your mother at home?" Sol immediately regained his composure and then crouched down to look at this little girl closely.

And as if to answer his question, there was a little bit of commotion from inside the house. Not long after that, July appeared behind her daughter and immediately carried her in her arms, before she paid attention to their guest.

"What did mommy tell you? You are not allowed to open the door and meet with strangers," July reprimanded her daughter sternly, while Rhea pouted her lips.

On the other hand, Sol stared at his sister for a while and then stood up and looked at his sister. "Hello, July, it has been a while," he said.

July was forty three now, twenty years ago, she was the most famous actress in Artzees country, but right now, after all the things that happened in this country, probably only a few people that still knew her name and even more a few people that still remembered her face, remembered her as that beautiful actress.

Especially, when there were too many deaths and new generations came into existence.

For a moment, July stared at Sol, as if she didn't recognize him, her eyes filled with suspicion and fear, as she had her hand on the door, ready to slam it shut.

But then, the look in her eyes shifted into one of disbelief, before the realization hit her and she opened her mouth.

"Sol?" July mentioned his name, as if that was the most unexpected thing for her. "Is that you?"

"It's me," Sol said.

Compared to Jasmine, Sol could say that he was closer to July, they rarely fought and there was a point in their life that they hated both Jasmine and their father to a certain degree.

"How…?" July didn't know what to ask and Sol had taken a step closer to her and hugged her. He hugged her along with his little niece, who stared at both of them with curiosity and bewilderment.

"It's so nice to see you again, sister," Sol said, as he hugged her tightly. "Father has passed away."

July nodded. "I know."

She hated her father, but at the end of the day, he was still her father and it hurt her that she couldn't meet him again until his last moments.

"Of course, you know…" Sol said calmly. He knew where July was at that time, but he couldn't come or even get into contact with her, because they were standing on different sides of this long battle between humans and supernatural creatures.

========================

The remaining shattered souls that Chaos had right now were; Knox, Eros, Flo, Rhea, Nikolai, Killian, Norbeat, Skylar and Alpha Zack.

Nine more people and everything would be settled down.

However, six of them were within Aaron's grip. There was no way the devil would shift his attention from them, since they were his assets to go against Chaos.

"You came again," the centaur said in a low voice from behind the shadow of the trees. There were a few pairs of eyes in the dark, thus it was hard to tell who was talking.

But, Chaos just stood in the middle of this small clearing, which was surrounded by big trees and then stared in a certain direction.

"I want you all to be prepared, the time will come sooner than expected." It was not the first time for Chaos to visit them, since he brought Zuri with him here before.

"We have not yet agreed to your idea, there is nothing to be prepared," said the same voice, it was the leader of the centaurs and he sounded so angry to be involved in such trouble. They only wanted peace, but that word couldn't be in the same sentence with Chaos.

"If that's what you wish, you can hide while this realm crumbles into pieces." Chaos's voice was so cold and detached, as if he didn't really care much about their final decision. He came here to tell them the truth about what was going to happen.

There was silence after that.

"You will be the one who will destroy this realm."

"And that's your duty to stop that."

"The girl with you will do it."

Chaos was quiet this time, he knew that they were referring to Zuri.

"Do you think she can't do that?"

"She will do it." Chaos turned around and faced the centaur, who spoke to him. "Make sure she will do it."

If Chaos were destined to destroy this realm, it would be faster to kill him right now, but the problem was; his other shattered souls were still out there, he needed to get them all to destroy them all at once.

"You are so cruel, Chaos."

"You said it yourself that we are ill fated."

And after that, Chaos disappeared and those pairs of eyes behind the darkness were also gone, as the centaurs retreated.

It was a silent night and the moon was so bright, even in the other parts of this realm, where there was a huge tree deeply rooted in the ground in the middle of the meadow.

Chaos stood in front of the tree, his eyes stared at the ancient tree for a long time before a voice came from it.

The voice sounded so weak and exhausted.

'Is it the time?'

"Yes."

The branches swayed by the wind and the yellow leaves fell to the ground, as if it was the fall season.

'Yes, I think this is it…'

Chaos walked closer and he could see a big hole in the trunk, where there were hundreds of black butterflies inside of it.

Chaos then touched the tree trunk with his palm.

'I thought you would bring the girl here, but you came alone.'

Chaos said nothing, as blue fire started to swallow the tree and the black butterflies burst out of their nest.
