Chapter 214: Plane Milo

Chapter 214: Plane Milo

"You're done?" Nate asked as he saw Luke standing in front of the building stretching. It would've been awkward for anyone if they didn't know that he had just fought someone.

"You were right. Someone did come, but it was a family member..Cara? Covencut, or something," Luke told him as he looked behind Nate to see if Sage was ready. "I see you're doing better," he noticed that Sage had put on some muscle. It had only been around 10 days but it seemed that his diet had been paying off.

'Cara..Mom...' Nate smiled at the thought. It only affected him for a second but there was no one in that family that cared for him, there was a time where Basile did, but that didn't last for too long. The image of Luke, his soul brother beating the shit out of his mother made him laugh. It was an oddity but Nate truly had no regrets.

"L-Luke!" Sage dropped his duffel bag and rushed to the person he looked up to. His first instinct was to hug Luke but he was worried where he was still injured. Although a small part of him was secretly shy to do so.

"Oh, so it's just Luke now? And not big brother Luke or anything?" Luke said as he ruffled Sage's hair. Sage looked like Shade, except both of them weren't exactly related in any way whatsoever and they were very obviously opposite to each other.

Usually Luke would let this slide as a simple coincidence, however, after the recent events, it was hard to see similarities between the game and reality as merely a coincidence. Although it was worthy of an eyebrow raise, the similarity between Shade and Sage could only be thought of in the presence of Luke.

After Sage's diet, he put on a good amount of muscle which only pushed his looks towards Shade's. However, Shade was the one with jet black hair, Sage or Everzone had gray or white hair. Both their personalities were nowhere alike, one was timid while the other was outspoken.

"Nnnooo! I was just uhmm." Sage panicked thinking he had gotten on the wrong side of Luke. However, once he saw Luke chuckle, he finally calmed down and realized he was being teased. "It's fine. Call me whatever, but just know that you can call me by my name," Luke said as he took Sage's bag and slung it over his shoulder. "Let's go. We have a lot to catch up on. You've already told me this, but do you have anyone you want to get?"

"Oh, no noI do not" he said while fidgeting, it wasn't because the topic was awkward, he just found it a little hard to say Luke consciously. "I see, then shall we?" Luke asked Nate who had a sure expression.

"We shall," Nate smiled as he put his hand on Sage's shoulder.

Once they got to the airport, they met up with Aurora, Valerian, and the others. Layla and the other two were the only ones who weren't present, after all, someone had to take care of things in Greece, or more particularly, Delphi.

"Martin. I told you to stop talking, why is it that you literally do everything I tell you not to do? Do you really love your pigsty of a country so much that you want me to throw you back there?" Valerian seemed to be blasting someone on the call. After all, he was a vigilante who has taken lives before. However, nearly every second of his life is spent trying to ignore such thoughts. It wasn't easy but he convinced himself that the trash had to be taken out by someone. "Fckin Martin" he cursed as he cut the call.

"You really need to go easy on him," Aurora told him, however, before he could reply, Aurora waved her hand in the air as she spotted Luke and the other two. It wasn't that hard to arrange considering the status of everyone present there. "You took your time," she smirked at Luke.

"Well, were you just fighting a Covencut like 20 minutes ago? Yeah, I didn't think so," Luke said as he threw Sage's bag at her.

"Huh?? Wait Basile's fine???" Aurora asked as she caught the duffel bag that was thrown at her. The fact that Luke fought a Covencut again was surprising enough for her to forget what he had just done.

"Basile? No no, it was someone called Cara," Luke said as he gave Valerian a hug. However, Valerian and Aurora could only gulp when they heard that name. It was no small name after all.

"Uhm...Nate?" Aurora looked at the man with a weird symbol on his right hand.

"Urgh fine. Luke you just beat up the woman who birthed me. Before you say anything I need you to know I don't care. Neither do I use the name I was given by them nor do I use any of the resources of the family," he said with an honest and sincere look on his face.

It's not every day you have your best friend tell you that you just beat the shit out of their mother and they are completely okay with it. Actually, it's nearly never that such a thing happens. Luke had to process what was just said.

"Oh what the heck, I nearly killed Basile and you didn't tell me off then," Luke waved it off. Truth is, Nate would be heartbroken if anything were to happen to Basile, but at the same time he valued responsibility, and he knew that Luke had no other choice in that situation.

'What the fck now? I think Luke just has a thing for beating up everyone's family members..' Aurora thought as she recalled what had happened in the tournament. Not to forget, Luke had also nearly broken Jace's arm.

"Let's move then, your family went earlier with Layla and the others, so they're all settled in. The air time should be a maximum of 10 hours, nothing more than that. Food and everything's taken care of so you can just crash or anything you want once you enter," Valerian said as they walked towards the plane.

It was huge, just by the looks of it, you could say that the cabin was large. Perhaps it was necessary for such a distance. A red carpet was placed outside the steps and even on it, all the way into the plane. An air hostess patiently waited at the gate to welcome everyone in. On the plane, in big bold words, was the name "Milo".

"Woah." Sage said as he stumbled along. As someone who worked in the model industry from time to time, Sage had seen private planes before, however, this was the first time he had seen such a plane. On the inside were sofas that could massage the person sitting on it, there was a table in front of every person with more than enough legroom. With just a click of a button, shutters around the sofa could be raised and the sofa extends into a comfortable bed. To the side, there was a cupboard with pillows and warmers, and in another one, there were napkins, masks, sanitizers, hot towels, water, and charging slots. It seems as if nearly everything was accounted for.

This was only the personal space part of the plane. The food was cooked by a chef that both the Cirillo's and the Milo family respected and favored. The option of watching a movie as you kick back was also there, every seat was accompanied by a TV as big as a smart tablet.

Of course, the most important of all, above each seat was a special contraption that had a headset installed. Once again, with a push of a button, the door would open and the headset would fit itself onto the person seated. Naturally, it wasn't any headset, it allowed the individuals to connect to Genesis. During the 10 hour flight, perhaps the best thing for players like Night or Nate would be to log in and level up.

"Finally. I can go ahead with the trials this way," Luke sighed out loud as he took a seat and kicked back. The very next second he turned on the massage option.

"Hmm? What trials?" Aurora asked curious as to where he currently was in the game.

"Oh, the Phantom Trials. It's part of a quest I received," Luke casually mentioned the fact that he was doing the trials of the assassin class while he was a Grandmaster.

"Whatever, I can't even act surprised anymore," she replied as she went towards the pilot. Nate and the others sat down as well. They waited and processed everything before turning on the massage option.

"I think I'll have something to eat first," Nate said as he looked at the menu. Other than the items or the dishes on the menu, there was the option to order customized food. Valerian, on the other hand, didn't care about a single thing. This was his plane. He could do anything he wanted.

"Alright then. Put your seat belts in and kick back and relax. There'll be an announcement half an hour before landing.. Please log out once the announcement is given," the air hostess announced through the speakers.
