Chapter 326 Now What?
When Jake approached the Mecha dragon, he saw some weapons emerging from the body of the creature. He expected nothing less when he saw some laser bullets being fired at him. They flew toward his head much faster than the lightning arrows, but once Jake felt their intentions, he had an easy time blocking them. However, the sword won't last long while blocking lasers.
"Come on, go faster," Jake forced the bird to fly like its life was on the line.
The barrage got more intense as Jake approached, and his sword also began to melt. It was his newest weapon, and it was quite cool, so Jake didn't want to lose it so soon…
In the end, he was forced to jump from the bird when he got close enough to the others. The attacks bothered Jake quite a bit, but he used the enemies as shields and jumping platforms, so he ignored most of them.
Eventually, he landed on the enemy's ship and confirmed that it was quite the technological structure. Jake could see numerous machines around that he couldn't quite begin to wonder what they were for. Still, he could recognize guns when they emerged from the top of those machines and were aimed toward him.
"They have laser guns and prefer to use grunts and monsters to attack this world…" Jake thought as he ran to the side and took shelter behind a quadrangular machine.
A laser gun emerged from that well, but Jake destroyed it with a single swing of his sword, and when he stopped behind it, he felt the thing getting hit… insanely fast, it began to melt, so Jake had to run away again.
While using Flash, Jake escaped the attacks and then approached another automatic laser gun before splitting it into two. When he finished dealing with that, he got on his back with some lighting arrows.
"They are still here…" Jake thought.
The spearmen and the birds were trying to surround Jake since they imagined that he couldn't use his dark flames anymore. In the end, the anger got the better of him, and he enhanced the sword with dark flames before spamming Mana Blades toward them. It goes without saying, but those guys were instantly massacred.
"Low-level grunts should know that they are low-level grunts…" Jake said.
Jake calmed down when he felt the temperature behind him increase. Another temporary shelter was being destroyed. He felt that blocking the lasers would be easy with his dark flames, but he didn't want to take those shortcuts.
Instead of that, Jake zigzagged around while using Flash, and he didn't stop even for a second before he approached the guns. They also followed Jake, but when they tried to fire, they exploded when the attacks came in contact with the sword. Jake sighed in relief when he dealt with all of those… but then he heard some metallic sound approaching.
"Hmm?" Jake turned around and frowned when he saw an army of heavy armored… things.
They were robots, armored robots. Usually, robots would already be armored due to the materials used to build them. Still, they actually were wearing full plate armor, and they had four arms, and each of them was carrying different types of low-level swords. They didn't have legs, but they had a single wheel that propelled them forward. As they grew closer to Jake, they began to spin their arms viciously.
"It seems that they want to cut me in many pieces…" Jake thought.
It was hard to imagine what was going to come next after that. Flying riders, lasers, four armed robots armed with swords… consistency was for weaklings, but Jake didn't have time to think about how the head of the enemy worked.
If the enemy thought that such a thing would scare Jake, then he truly didn't know a single thing about him. Instead of running away from that kind of challenge, Jake dashed head-on. His first trust made the first target fall apart into pieces, and then he spun around to split in half the three nearest enemies.
Jake didn't get coins or experience, but that didn't bother him. It also didn't bother him the fact that the nearest robots passed over the bodies of their allies to attack him. However, Jake split them into many pieces with lightning-fast sword strikes. The enemies didn't even have the chance to scratch him.
Although he had a hard time against the giants, that also gave Jake the chance to improve all of his most basic techniques, there was no wasted movement when he swung his sword downwards, when he used sideway slashes, or when he trusted his weapon to the enemies' heads… they were also as powerful as they could be. So, even those robots couldn't withstand a single attack.
Without any other choice, the robots began to throw their weapons at him when they noticed that approaching him was impossible. Jake was forced to step back a little since he couldn't block the attacks that he couldn't see… while he managed to repel all of the swords, some enemies managed to approach and attack him, thanks to that.
"They are starting to like the fight, huh… so do I…" Jake said.
Jake began to spam Mana Blades left and right, and those two close to him were destroyed instantly. The others in the distance managed to block them with their weapons, but Jake suddenly approached them like a mad bull and began to cut down everything in his path. Before long, he was so deep in the enemy's lines that only a few of them could see him, and when they approached, they were split so cleanly that only two parts of their bodies fell on the floor.
Still, eventually, their master realized that such minions wouldn't be enough to kill Jake, so the ship began to fly… upward and toward outer space. Things were getting out of hand really quickly and he didn't have many options...
"Now what?" Jake wondered.
