Universal Creation: Starting with a God Simulator!

Chapter 11 - Unlocking New Features: God's Guidance

Chapter 11: Unlocking New Features: God’s Guidance

[Late Sixth Era: At its peak, the giant insects of evolution could no longer fly into the sky.] [Trapped on land and in the sea, the resources of the Heaven Origin Realm were exhausted, no longer enough to sustain the insects.] [The insects, in their desperation, sought a way out. One generation of rhinoceros beetle attempted to fly into space alone. He succeeded, and yet he failed.] [The moment he broke free of gravity and passed through the world’s barrier, the rhinoceros beetle died.] [The two-pronged stag beetle began to decline, dragging the rest of the insect species down with it.] [Late Sixth Era: The tormented plants could no longer bear it, dying in droves and going extinct. The struggling two-pronged stag beetle finally faced its downfall.] [The death of the last rhinoceros beetle symbolized the failure of this path.] [Meanwhile, another branch, the sea spiders, showed no progress after six eras but lived on happily.]

“You watch him build his high tower, watch him feast with his guests, and then watch the tower collapse.”

Su Bai read this.

He felt quite emotional.

At the same time, it confirmed something: the meteorite was not a natural disaster.

There was a deeper reason behind it!

“Could it be that this is part of a hidden plot triggered by Cthulhu’s call?”

Su Bai speculated.

He recalled that in the last simulation, there were occasional hints of mysterious fluctuations in the universe.

The octopus creatures were holding some kind of ritual, possibly attracting the attention of certain entities.

“I’m not strong enough to investigate right now, but I’ll dig deeper into this storyline when I get the chance in the future.”

Su Bai continued reading.

The sea spiders were far more resilient than he had imagined.

As the land was plunged into apocalypse, they continued to survive.

After six eras of growth, the Heaven Origin Realm had expanded to 28 kilometers.

But now it was shrinking.

[Mid Seventh Era: The world regressed. Massive plant extinctions occurred, and oxygen and spirit energy diminished. Only one in ten land creatures survived.] [The sea spiders remained content, though the loss of coastal territory and many of their kin took a toll.] [Late Seventh Era: 99% of the insects and plants on land perished. A large number of marine species also died off.] [Eighth Era: The sea spiders persisted in survival.] [Late Eighth Era: The land was devoid of animals. 90% of marine life was extinct.] [The Heaven Origin Realm weakened to 10 kilometers.]

“Well, after eight eras of hard work, it’s like returning to square one.”

Su Bai understood something.

If you keep surviving in this manner, once the world’s resources are depleted, it’s like slowly committing suicide.

According to his teachers, the world nurtures civilizations and powers.

The planets are just the beginner’s village; true challenges and treasure hunts lie in space!

Otherwise, how much resource can the world generate on its own?

How much energy can passive sunlight provide?

For a world to rise, it must first actively venture out, hunting in the sea of stars!

Next, Su Bai was quite surprised.

Despite 98% of marine life dying, the sea spiders were not wiped out.

Their numbers dwindled to just a few hundred, but they survived!

By relying on the few nutrients left in the water, and even the sunlight on the ocean surface, they evolved a hibernation ability.

Constantly sleeping.

[Mid Ninth Era: The sea spiders are still surviving.] [Tenth Era: After awakening, the sea spiders held a reproductive event, slightly expanding their population, then returned to hibernation.] [Joy +5, Delight +10.] [Ding! Congratulations, you’ve reached a milestone in the simulation. Unlocking a new feature: God’s Guidance.] [Reward: +500 Creation Points, and one Talent Upgrade Card! (First-time reward only.)]

“Such a big surprise in the Tenth Era?”

Su Bai smiled. This was definitely a major surprise.

He quickly checked out the new feature.

[God’s Guidance]: “At key moments in history, you can intervene, allowing the creatures to choose their path of development.”

“For example: Land/Stay in the sea, Evolve physically/Enhance mentally, Use fire/Extinguish fire, and so on!”

“What a great feature!”

Su Bai’s eyes lit up. This would naturally give him more control over the simulation.

As for that card, it made his heart race.

[Talent Upgrade Card]: “After use, it raises an already chosen talent by one tier!”

“Brilliant! What would happen if I used this on a guaranteed orange-tier talent?”

He held the card eagerly.

But the frustrating part was,

The simulation was still ongoing.

The sea spiders hadn’t died off yet!

[Late Tenth Era: Despite dwindling numbers and shrinking living space, the sea spiders on the edge of the desert refused to give up. In fact, they were still content, as no one was left to compete with them, and no enemies were trying to kill them.] [Eleventh Era: …] Su Bai was feeling a bit frustrated.

“How long will this cooldown last? Stop hiding and come out to die already.”

He hadn’t even used today’s solidified talent yet!

Could it be that he’d have to solidify Cthulhu’s talent?

Sensing Su Bai’s mood,

By the time the Twelfth Era arrived, something changed! [Twelfth Era: You gaze at the Heaven Origin Realm, now reduced to just 2 kilometers, in utter disappointment.] [You’re speechless at the sea spiders still surviving in the deep sea.] [A branching path has appeared: Please make a choice.] [1. Let the sea spiders continue surviving and see how long they can last. Perhaps a miracle from the universe will come to resurrect the Heaven Origin Realm.] [2. The gods are impatient. Initiate world destruction.]

“So soon?”

Su Bai was delighted and decisively issued the destruction command.

[You intervened, causing underwater volcanic eruptions that wiped out the sea spiders.] [This simulation is over. Total survival: 12 eras. Creation points earned: 400!] [Cooldown period: 120 minutes!]

Su Bai’s heart raced.

He’d have to endure a two-hour wait.

It was currently past 7 p.m.

The fifth simulation would start after 10 p.m.

He didn’t have much time left!

If he didn’t get a good talent, he’d have to choose a lesser one to solidify.

However, as time went on, he seemed to grasp a pattern.

The God Simulator might change based on his subconscious?

With this newly unlocked feature, his future explorations and early simulation terminations would be much easier.

If something displeased him, he could destroy the world with a flood.

“Now that’s what I call a God Simulator!”

Su Bai reviewed the rewards and information he gathered this time.
