[Location: New York Institute] [3rd POV]

Seeing her girlfriend drop to the ground, unconscious, Hope's eyes widened as she raced to her side "Talia! Talia! Are you okay?!" she yelled, as she moved to her side. As she got close, her eyes widened as Talia's form began to powerfully glow. Flames began to arc off her form, surrounding her in a sort of aura of pure flames.

"Wh-what's happening to her?" Clary asked as she began to move closer, a worried expression on her face. Isabelle, having seen that her brother was more than just okay, also raced closer to Talia.

"We need to move her!" Isabelle said as she got to her side. "Alec, come help get her inside! But use the back entrance, we can't let anyone see her like this"

Alec, hearing his sister, blinked off his shock, as he raced over to lift her, only to set back back as he grunted in pain. Looking down to his hand, his eyes widened slightly at the small burn mark on it.

"S-she burned me?" He said in confusion, as he wasn't even that close to the girl, probably a foot or two away, and yet he was still burnt.

"It must be the flames that angel gave her! Its protecting her" Clary reasoned out, before realizing that she, Hope, and Isabelle were all close to Talia, closer than Alec could get.

"But then why can we get close?" Clary muttered in confusion, only for Isabelle to shake her out of her thoughts.

"That doesn't matter right now! What matters, is that we get Talia to the institute, and not out in the open like this!" Isabelle said, while Hope was trying her best to not tear up at the evident pain her girlfriend was going through.

"The three of us will just have to bring her" Isabelle continued, as she looked to Hope, who breathed in and nodded. Slowly, the two lifted Talia, with Clary quickly moving and grabbing her feet. While they were slowly carrying her to the institute, Magnus was looking over where Talia was, casting spells to try and figure out what the hell was happening.

"Any clues on what the hell that was?" Alec asked as he looked to his boyfriend. The rest of the Lightwoods already following after Isabelle, wanting to make sure that the savior of Max was okay, while Jace watched this with a frown.

"None. I, in all of my years as a Warlock, have never seen anything like that. To summon an angel, a seraphim at that, takes power far beyond anything a normal warlock can ever hope to obtain. Whatever Talia is, she is not a normal Warlock, if one at all" He said, frowning as his diagnostic spells told him nadda.

"Do you think it's harming her?" Alec asked, as the two began to move after the rest of the group, catching up with them.

"I can not say for certain. But if my assumption is correct, then that large angel would have been Michael himself. And I doubt he would harm her, not with the amount of good she has been doing" Magnus replied with a shake of his head, while the others listened.

"And will this be a threat to the Clave? Her summoning an angel, I mean" Robert asked, he was thankful to Talia for saving his son, but he still had to think about the rest of his people. Not to mention, he was wary of someone that could summon not only 2 normal angels, but even a Seraphim, the strongest of them at that.

"No. Had she wished to harm the Clave, I have a feeling she would have more than enough power to have done so already" Magnus replied with a shake of his head. With that sort of power, most of the Clave wouldn't be a threat.

Finally, they got to the back entrance. Hauling her inside, Clary and Isabelle panted slightly, as having to carry someone taller than them, and that weighs more than them (courtesy of a shit ton of muscle) was taxing. Hope on the otherhand, was looking at her mate worriedly, as the flames continued to arc and flare around her. Soft grunts of pain escaped Talia with every burst, and sweat trickled down her forehead.

"We're clear" Alec said, as he looked down the hallway to Talia's room, where they planned on putting her.

Hearing this, they began to quickly move her into her room, with the door already open courtesy of Magnus. Maryse and Alec quickly moved the objects off of her bed, allowing the three girls to softly lower her..

Breathing out, Isabelle caught her breath with Clary doing the same. "What do we do now?" Alec asked, looking over his friend in worry.

"Wait" Hope said, biting her lip in worry. "Whatever's happening to Talia, it's not something we can stop. So, the only thing we can do, is wait" Hope continued, pulling a chair up and sitting next to Talia, with Isabelle quickly doing the same.

Clary frowned at this news, not liking the dread this filled her heart with, but she knew there wasn't anything they could do. Not with the Seraphim Michael involved.

"Isabelle, when the situation changes, contact us, okay? We want to thank her for what she did to help Max" Maryse said softly. Noticing the look on her daughters face, as she began to connect the dots of what that look meant. Robert nodded along, he wanted to add that he also needed to question how she could summon angels, but decided not to do so.

"And I-we, won't tell anyone of this" Robert decided. This was just one of the ways he decided he was going to repay her.

"Wouldn't others have seen the angels? They aren't exactly small" Alec said, as he began to realize the implications this could have.

Hope shook her head at this "No. Talia would have put up an illusion. She's too smart to let something like that get shown off. And if it was open for everyone to see, wouldn't we have seen a bunch of Shadowhunters running already?"

"Touche" Alec said with a nod, as the logic was sound.

At this, Robert and Maryse gave Isabelle and Alec one last nod, before leading the still obviously tired Max out of the room, with Jace leaving alongside them.

"I'm going to go and make sure no one saw any of that. But once we have Sebastian's hideout found, you understand that you two will have to go, right?" Alec said softly to his sister and friend. They both nodded, but neither seemed too happy with the idea. The fact that Clary seemed so against it, was a bit of a surprise, but while no one else noticed the looks Clary had been giving Talia, he did.

"I'll make sure to keep you updated" He said with one last nod, before walking out of the

room.

"How long do you think this is going to take?" Clary asked with worry, as Talia grit her teeth in pain, even while being unconscious.

"I-I don't know" Hope said with a sigh, before continuing.

"But the best we can do right now, is stay by her side...and pray that she makes it out of this

okay"
