Chapter 151: Chapter 148: No More Inverse Society



[3rd POV]

It was a couple of days later when Talia was asked to come to the Kent farm, why? She wasn't sure, but she had a feeling it had something to do with Ally Allston, and the fact that she effectively had both the pieces of the "Oblivion Stone" as Talia had come to know it, thanks to a rogue member of the army known as Anderson.

All she had to do to complete the merge, was to get to the other dimension where her other self was, and the rest would happen on it's own by being close to her other self. A bit problematic for Talia, but was easy enough to stop. She already planned on grabbing the stone herself and capturing both the Ally's, that way there wasn't any sort of threat of them causing problems. The Oblivion stone was an interesting object in Talia's eyes, and one with a shit ton of power within it, power that was interesting to her. Once she got her hands on it, she planned on absorbing the power inside, or at the least, experimenting with it.

At the moment she was walking into the Kent home, she blinked when she found Clark, Lois, and Sam Lane all sitting at their dinner table.

"Lois, who is-" "This is the friend I called, Talia. She's the one who's been giving me information about Ally, and has been the main reason why we've gotten as far as we have" Lois said, cutting her dad off before he could go on one of his tangents.

"She's also an alien" Clark added, causing Sam to stop and turn to her with a frown.

"And what is she here for?" Same asked, giving Talia a narrowed look, untrusting of the unknown alien.

"Because I am hoping she knows how we can stop Ally, for good. And because I am confident that she has been hiding how strong she actually is" Lois replied, looking at Talia who chuckled, amused.

"I suppose you've finally figured out who I actually am then? I suppose it makes sense, considering your husband is Superman" Talia said with a chuckle, as Clark and Sam's eyes widened as she said this, while Lois nodded.

"Yep, and you just confirmed it. You're Solaris, aren't you?" Lois asked, causing Talia to grin before nodding as a soft golden glow emanated from her. Clark breathed in at the warmth and the burst of power he felt from the glow, before ti stopped slowly, while Sam stared wide eyed at who was now identified as Solaris, aka the worlds most popular hero at the moment.

"Before you ask, Sam, no, I don't mean any harm. I've saved millions through my clones and "Followers" so please do relax before you start grilling me about who I am and why I am here" Talia said before the man could even speak, knowing that he was about to start talking about national security and all that crap.

"What are you? I mean, what species are you?" Clark asked, changing his wording after realizing that it sounded a bit wrong at the start.

"A lot of things, I'm a hybrid of several different species. This gives me...a range of powers, many of which are superior to your own, Clark. But you don't need to worry about me harming you or anything, I've got full control over all my power, and like I said before, I'd never use it to harm others" Talia responded, knowing the man was just wondering, and unlike Sam, wasn't confrontational about it.

"And what species are they? You've never really given an answer" Lois asked, genuinely interested, while Sam was growing more confused by the minute.

"Like I said Lois, I am many different species, but I won't be explaining them. All I'll say is not all stories are fantasy, and I'll leave it at that" Talia responded with a small smirk, knowing that the response was going to drive Lois insane as she tried to figure out what Talia

was.

"What does-" "Can you help us stop Ally?" Clark cut in, knowing that his wife would become more and more interested in Talia's background, which will also cause her to lose track of what's important at the moment.

"Hmm? Oh sure, I can destroy the pendant too, if you want. The ability I used beforehand should work easily enough, and before you ask, no, I won't explain what the ability does" Talia replied, nodding to what Clark had asked, knowing that she was actually going to be taking the pendant for herself, not that the man needed to know that, nor would he.

"And you're confident you can do that?" Lois asked. Talia nodded in response. "Definitely. If it was something more durable than it could be a problem, but it's basically just a pendant, something I can destroy easily enough. And at the same time, I can send one of my clones to the inverse world to grab the Ally of that world so we can get her in jail" Talia said, looking to Sam who looked surprised, before he nodded slowly.

"That would be...appreciated, thank you. And you're sure your...clone can grab her?" Sam asked.

"Mmhmm, it'll be easy enough. She's got some bodyguards with a decent chunk of power, but that's about it. Do you want me to get started right now? They're trying to go through that portal right now, and if I don't stop them, then a few of them will die, or most of them" Talia replied, adding the last part, causing their eyes to widen.

"What!? Then yes, help them!" Sam yelled, causing Talia to huff.

"No need to be rude about it, Sam" Talia said, before a golden glow formed over her, as her suit surrounded her form, and in the next moment, she was gone.

Deep within the mines of Smallville, a group of people in what almost looked like quarantine suits walked to a large underground area, where, in the middle, a large blue portal was glowing in front of them. The leader of the group was a woman with glasses, and graying hair, this being Ally Allston, leader of the Inverse Society.

"It's here...it's time" Ally whispered, glee in her tone as she would finally be able to do the "merge" as she had wanted for so very long. Sadly...she had underestimated just how powerful Solaris was.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Within the next second of saying these words, the world stopped, as the people around her dropped to the floor, unconscious. Leaving only Chrissy (who was there undercover), Ally, and Anderson, all standing, wide eyed as they looked around.

"Wha-" "Sorry Ally, but I cannot allow you to do this" Talia's voice cut in, as Ally turned slowly, paling as she noticed the pendent was now in Talia's hand, when it was in her but a moment a ago. And within the next second, the pendent disappeared with a flash of light, as Talia "Crushed" it.

"NOO!" Ally roared in anger, only for Talia to blur and tap her forehead, as the woman crumpled to the floor, unconscious in an instant.

Turning to Anderson and Chrissy, she gave Chrissy a small motion with her head, causing the woman to nod and run off, while Anderson soon joined Ally in unconsciousness.

'About as easy as I expected' Talia thought as she created a clone and gave it the order to go through the portal and grab the Ally of that world too. Which time passed differently in the inverse world, so she expected it to take at least a couple of weeks for it to return.

In the meantime, Talia glanced around the space, noticing the walls lined with X-Kryptonite, and sensing much much much more of it housed within the mines around her. 'Hmm...I doubt anyone will care too much if a tons of X-Kryptonite just disappears. Both on this side and the other, with the clone grabbing all the kryptonite over there' Talia thought with a smirk, as energy glowed around her, and the mines shone slightly, before the X- kryptonite that previously lined the walls disappeared into Talia's gate, a pleased smile on her face as she flicked her wrists, the others in the room disappearing to the outside of the mines, bound with powerful restraints.

Looking around, Talia smiled as she began to disappear from the spot, one thought on her

mind at that moment.
