Chapter 118: Chapter 116: Burning Martian



[3rd POV] [A week later]

A week had passed since the rather...irritating argument between Kara and Alex, and a few things had happened.

For one, Kara was giving Alex the silent treatment, making her irritation with Alex clear. It was to the point that Alex had come to Kara's apartment to talk, only to get ignored by the girl every single time. Not even J'onn could get the girl to talk with her sister.

Talia had seen this coming a mile away, so she decided that she was going to do something about it. Something that would be happening today.

Besides the argument and silent treatment, Talia had been busy continuing her quests, and furthering her development with her abilities.

She had pretty much completely mastered the usage of not only the Kekkei Genkai, but also all the jutsu she had gained so far. With none of them being even remotely difficult for her to learn, thanks to her immense comprehension speeds.

She had also begun to dive back into her Stars, as she wanted to get to 10 star soon. She hadn't gotten it yet, but she had begun to meditate and practicing her connection to her own body and the Sword Saint Aura, and she hoped to have it to 10 stars within a couple of months.

She had been messing around with her different Demonic Abilities and Holy ones a lot during this time as well, especially holy water. She had used it to heal the forests burned from fires, and even strengthen the soil of the lands in Africa, helping them with crop growth and drout. This had the natural side effect of her gaining some genuine worshippers, especially after she helped one an tribe in Africa that had no technology. Which had also begun to slowly strengthen her divinity, albeit by tiny amounts.

This had given her a new quest, a rather interesting one.

[Water and Food for all]

Details - Use Holy water to revitalize the lands in impoverished countries needing soil and water. Giving the user not only more followers, but also aiding those in genuine need.

Rewards - 10 Levels [Per Country]

Such a quest was awarding, but also one she had to be careful with. As in a continent like Africa, it could have some serious consequences, especially once other countries learned of the ability. Thus, she had special countermeasures in place. Mostly wards that would keep countries from invading the territories she aided, and not testing it (not that they'd find anything).

She, through the usage of her familiars, had also completed quite a few more pieces of her main quests, netting her a lot of levels, new kekkei genkai, and even a new subclass. And yet again, she waited to collect them until she got a certain amount.

[Flashback]

Currently Talia was in the middle east, having just finished wiping out the 50th terrorist group she had gotten her hands on, which had completed her next quest.

Smirking happily underneath her helmet, Talia looked at the quests and rewards she could claim at the moment.

25,000 Criminals Defeated - 25 Levels

50,000 Criminals Defeated - 30 Levels

50 Terrorist Groups Destroyed - 25 Levels.

500,000 Civilians Saved/Helped - 25 Levels, 1 powerful item (Random)

'Good, 105 levels is enough to level my subclass to max, and should get me a couple of new kekkei genkai' Talia thought happily, as she teleported the tied up terrorists off to where she usually dropped them.

Seeing as the terrorists were taken care of, and their weapons were all "Destroyed" (in actuality she took them and replaced them with impossible to notice fakes), Talia decided to head off to her dimension, ready to gain the levels and new item.

*POP*

Disappearing with a soft pop, Talia reappeared within her dimension, and wasted absolutely no time.

"System, claim the levels"

[5th Kekkei Genkai: Sharingan]

The Sharingan grants the wielder two broad abilities: the "Eye of Insight" (***, Dōsatsugan) and the "Eye of Hypnotism" (*, Saimingan).

"Eye of Insight"

The user can see chakra, giving it colour in order to distinguish it by its composition and source. Though not as capable in this regard as the Byakugan, it can see chakra through some (but not all) obstructions and detect irregularities in a person's chakra flow, such as those caused by genjutsu influence. The user is granted incredible clarity of perception, enabling them to read lips or mimic something like pencil movements. To the point that the user can even able to see on a cellular level. In combat, this allows them to see fast-moving objects and, once fully developed, offers some amount of predictive capabilities: they can anticipate an opponent's next move based on the slightest muscle tension in their body and act accordingly to dodge or intercept. They can also read the enemy's hand seals to give them an insight of the performed technique's nature, regardless of the speed of performance, so long as the hands are not physically hidden from view. Although a Sharingan user can see these things, they also need the physical ability to actually act on the visual information. Via eye contact, the user can even enter the target's mind to look through their memories, and even erase them within a long range for several targets. The user is able to copy almost any jutsu they see, memorising ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu (martial arts) with near-perfect accuracy. They can then either perform that jutsu or modify it to suit their needs. Again, Sharingan users need the prerequisite abilities before they can mimic a jutsu they have seen, and for that reason they cannot, for example, reproduce kekkei genkai abilities they do not have or nature transformations they haven't learned to

perform.

"Eye of Hypnotism"

The user can perform what is generically called Genjutsu: Sharingan. While there are various manifestations and purposes of the ability, the better known one is to, through eye contact, suggest thoughts and actions to a target, coercing them to divulge information or act in a particular way, potentially without the target's awareness. In extreme cases, the Sharingan user can take complete control of the target's body, forcing them to do exactly as the controller wishes; this control is visually indicated by the Sharingan's design appearing in the target's eye. In addition to these abilities, the Sharingan can also channel the user's strong emotions to further increase their power. It also allows access to two other jutsu that a Sharingan user can perform: Izanagi allows the user to warp reality for a short time, changing reality into illusion and illusion into reality, thus escaping death and rewriting destiny; Izanami traps the victim in an infinite loop disregarding the target's five senses, specifically designed as a reprimand for those who would abuse Izanagi. Use of either ability causes the Sharingan with which it is performed to be blinded afterwards, that is the case normally at least, but in the users case, they would simply heal the blindness after some

time.

[6th Kekkei Genkai: Kokugan]

The Kokugan ("", literally meaning: Black Eye). The Kokugan allows it wielder to use Sukunahikona, a shinjutsu

("Divine Technique") technique that instantly shrinks themself or any inanimate object or nonliving matter within their field of vision, or restore them to their original size. Accompanying that technique is Daikokuten, which enables the user to store anything they shrink with Sukunahikona in a dimension where time does not flow. The Kokugan can also summon large black cubes which can disrupt the techniques of a sensory type individual, enable the user to estimate their lifespan (chakra in the anime) through a flame-like shadow, or open a conventional space-time portal, which can also be used to access the timeless dimension without using Daikokuten.

[7th Kekkei Genkai: Wood Release]

Wood Release (, Mokuton, Viz: Wood Style) is a nature transformation kekkei genkai, a combination of Earth and Water Release.At its simplest, Wood Release allows the user to create wood, essentially converting their chakra into a source of life. At its greatest, mighty trees of various size and shape can be created. The vegetation can sprout from the user's body or grow from the surroundings. Wooden constructs can also be created, ranging in complexity from cages to complete houses. It is not necessary that the created wood take any identifiable form, allowing users to focus on its inherent pliability to ensnare targets or its durability for brute force attacks. The Wood Release can also manipulate, suppress, and/or

absorb a target's chakra. [8th Kekkei Genkai: Jogan]

The Jōgan (*, literally meaning: Pure Eye) is a unique dōjutsu that is known only by the Ōtsutsuki Clan (In normal cases). It can perceive the flow of chakra, enabling Boruto to see the visible changes in one's chakra and likewise track a target through their chakra. It can clearly see the chakra pathway system and even the Tenketsu. It can also see through invisible barriers that connect between dimensions, as well as predicting where Yomotsu Hirasaka (Teleportation) will be used. Apparently, unique to other dōjutsu, the wielder retains full sight and access to its power even if the eye's natural state is damaged.

[Powerful Item]

[All-Black the Necrosword (MCU) - An immensely powerful blade created solely for the function of slaying and killing the Gods. Strengthens the users physical attributes by 2x. Strengthens damage with this blade against Gods, Celestials, and the Divine, by 10x. Strengthens the users familiars with the Shadows of the Blade, doubling their attributes. Further abilities can be unlocked in the future.

Looking at the kekkei genkai, Talia grinned 'Sharingan on it's own is already great, but Isshiki's dojutsu too? Not to mention Jogan and Wood Release too. Wood release could help with my helping of the different countries struggling with food and plant shortages. Then there's the Necrosword which is...dangerous, as if it's actually connected to Knull like in the comics....then I'm not entirely sure how to feel about that one' Talia thought, remembering the God of Symbiotes, a being that would obliterate her in a battle with her having no chance

of doing anything to stop him.

'As tempting as Electrician and Doctor are...if subclassses work like hwo they usually do, then picking White Martian will be better' Talia thought, as she thought about what a combination

of White and Green Martian could turn into... Pressing on the White Martian, her thoughts were confirmed.

[Due to the user already possessing Green Martian and their strength in psionics, the two classes shall fuse into one new class]

[Burning Martian (Arrowverse) - Due to being a combination of Green and White Martian, Burning Martian is massively more powerful than the two species individually. Every level massively increases the users psionic capabilities, mental capabilities, pyrokinetic capabilities, and physical capabilities. This classes physical strength is strong enough to be on par, if not stronger than a Kryptonian. Strengthens the users senses per level. Strengthens the users connection to the Mind Stone, unlocking more of it's might] [The mind stone now increases the users mind reading, scanning, compulsion, mind spells, etc by 100x, increasing by 15x per world from now onwards, instead of 10x] 'Exactly what I was hoping for. Burning Martians even in the comics, were insanely strong, stronger than any White Martian or Green Martian. Normally they'd have some serious mental issues, but my mind is far too strong for such a thing to affect it' Talia thought, pleased with

the new class she had gotten.

'Go ahead and assimilate, system'

[Flashback End]

After assimilating the class, Talia's mental capabilities, psionic capabilities, and physical

capabilities had all increased, the former two by several times, and the latter by nearly

double. At the moment, Talia was focusing on something else, as she had the phone up to her ear. "Talia? What's up?" Kara asked on the other end, causing Talia smirk.

"How would you like to come over for a Christmas party? I was planning on inviting J'onn and

Winn too. It'll be tomorrow, on Christmas eve at my place. I'll even send you guys the address

and everything" Talia asked, causing Kara to blink on the other end.

"What about Alex?" Kara asked.

"I won't invite her if you don't want her there, love" Talia replied, causing Kara to hum.

"And will your girlfriends be there?" Kara asked with a nervous tone.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Naturally, but you don't have to worry about them, Kara. They all want to meet their potential "Sister" afterall" Talia said.

"You're okay with Winn and J'onn knowing?"

"Eh, it doesn't bother me much. J'onn's an alien so I doubt it's that weird to him, and Winn is pretty accepting" Talia responded, not minding it. Martian Manhunter was one of her personal favorites in the comics, so she wasn't against the man. And Winn was a pretty cool

dude, so she saw zero reason to say no. Not to mention how funny his reaction will be once he realizes that she's a Timelord, considering the Tardis she saw on his desk once. "Um...can J'onn bring Alex? I-I think I've been avoiding her for long enough" Kara asked after

a few moments, as she missed her sister, even if she was being annoying. Not to mention that she knew Alex felt awful, with the texts, calls, and her coming to her door crying. "Of course, Kara. And I'm happy you're going to smooth it over with her" Talia replied, genuinely happy for her. Just like with Hope, she knew that Kara wouldn't stay mad at her

sister, and Alex was not the type to act like she was for long. Especially not after she basically forced her sister to out herself to not only her, but Talia as well.

"Thank you Talia...really" Kara said on the other end, not understanding why Talia was being

so kind to Alex.

"It's nothing, love. Now, get some sleep, it's late" Talia said, noticing that it was indeed 10 at

night.

"Good night, Talia" Kara said, causing Talia to smile softly. "Good night to you too, Kara" Talia said, before they hung up, ending the call.

Seeing that the call was over, Talia sighed and leaned back, thinking about tomorrow.

'Hopefully the party goes well'

It was basically an intermission before the Christmas party which will have several big events

happening, so a lot more will be happening. It will also be 3.7k words or so, and no real system stuff, besides a few levels.
