Chapter 9: Ruin of Black Shard Moon
Chapter 9: Ruin of Black Shard Moon
'An Exceed powerhouse with his domain awakened... who is he?' Roxen thought while internally sweating buckets.
The three Knights behind them were already knocked out as they had lost their
consciousnesses.
Lady Rias's face also turned pale, but the necklace she wore suddenly shone and covered her in
a shield, protecting her and creating a powerful barrier to withstand the pressure and
protecting from attacks.
The situation suddenly became tense for this group that came from one of the strongest places on this Lightdusk Continent--Longinus Empire.
'What are you doing, Dax?' Aleron asked, sending his thoughts to Darzax.
'Just establishing our power, my lord. Please verbally command me to release my domain,' Darzax replied with a smile.
Aleron understood the gist as he grinned and nodded.
Rias was looking at him and was about to speak, but Aleron immediately said with a light chuckle, "Release the domain, Dax. Let's see what business they have with us."
"As you wish, My lord," Darzax respectfully said before everyone saw the normal scenery of the forest and pond again.
The pressure on them vanished as they felt freedom from the shadow of death that was looming over them.
'My lord?!' Rias was startled. 'An Exceed powerhouse calling him as a lord...'
'Lady Rias...we may have encountered people from another continent or some hidden force perhaps...' Roxen informed with graveness. 'I have seen all three Exceed powerhouses of Nightwing Empire, and they definitely don't have a second Exceed with Domain awakened.'
'But if this powerhouse belongs to them, then our Loginus Empire might fall behind in the coming war...'
'I think they are not related to Nightwing Empire,' Rias replied. 'And maybe...we might have found our candidate. Prophecy pointed to this area because he was here.'
'We'll find that out soon, my lady,' Roxen wryly smiled at Rias's optimism.
Outside, Rias composed herself and smiled as naturally as she could before saying to Aleron, "I suppose I should properly introduce myself first."
The group had never revealed their true identities to other young men and women they checked before, but they couldn't afford to stay anonymous this time.
Darzax felt something was off upon seeing this group following them with tracking, which was why he scared them to gain the upper hand in whatever business they were going to speak about.
"I am Rias Longinus, the youngest princess of the Loginus Empire," Rias made a curtsy bow while grabbing her dress before looking at Aeron and adding, "Pleased to make your acquaintances..."
"Ale," Aleron said with a smile. "Ale Rivenal."
'Fuck, I just made it up, but it's not that bad I guess.'
'Next time, I'll make a better name. Umu,' Aleron internally noted to prepare some cool names for backup.
'Ale Rivenal?' Roxen frowned. 'Rivenal...I've never heard of this surname.'
"Mr. Ale," Rias nodded and took out a palm-sized black Medallion with golden and brown patterns, with a pattern of a mysterious sword surrounded by beautiful and unique whirly patterns.
Darzax and Aleron looked at the Medallion. Darzax's eyes glinted as he inspected the Medallion. 'Looks like a key of something.'
"What is this?" Aleron curiously asked.
"This is my ticket to the ruins of Azure Shard Moon," Rias said as her expression turned solemn, "But I cannot go there alone. I have to bring a person who resonates with this key to enter there."
They had also never revealed information about the ruins of Azure Shard Moon. If the Nightwing Empire or other forces on the continent found out that Princess Rias was roaming in the southeast area of the continent, her life could be endangered since the competition for Azure Shard Moon was intense among the top forces.
However. Rias suspected that this Exceed powerhouse should already know about it and given the power she measured of the Exceed-rank senior with her skill, it was best to become honest.
"These ruins are one of the oldest on our continent and only open once every ten years. In terms of importance, they are ranked highest."
Aleron raised his eyebrows, his eyes shining, 'Secret ruins....damn, I have to go there.'
"Interesting, so what do I do now?" Aleron asked with a faint smile. 'I hope this medallion resonates with me, hehe. This event is definitely for me.'
"Put your hand on it please," Rias said as she stretched her hand that held the medallion towards Aleron. "If the patterns on the medallion shine, then my search will end but if it doesn't, then..."
Rias looked at Aleron and Darzax before smiling, "I suppose we can talk about some other business then."
Aleron was slightly dazed seeing her smile but swiftly composed himself. 'Damn, she is so beautiful...'
But in the next second, he was stunned as he realized something. 'I...actually never even saw a girl this close in my previous life since I was fucking 10 years old.'
He was bedridden since he was ten-fucking-years old!
'Crap!'
But he read tons of books, so he was living his life in fantasy previously...unlike now, where he was living in a real fantasy world!
"Cough, sorry for dazing away," Aleron coughed and put his hand on the Medallion. 'Let's
see...'
The moment he put his hand on the Medallion, Aleron heard a notification.

Meanwhile, the medallion also started shining brightly!
Rias was shocked and then pleasantly surprised while Roxen saw it glowing and released a breath of relief with a hint of worry.
'But who are they? Who is this Exceed Powerhouse and this young man he calls his lord?'
Exceed-rank Powerhouses in their Empire were second only to the Emperor! They were respected higher than everyone, but here there was an Exceed powerhouse acting respectfully towards this young man!
Not even the Crown Prince could get this treatment in their Empire!
