Chapter 84: Xorg Experiment
Chapter 84: Xorg Experiment
"Alright, so who wants this super giga evolution serum?" Aleron asked as he raised the big vial in his hand towards the four thousand people. "This will make you stronger and better than ever before. Only one among you will be fortunate enough to use this and be my guinea pig."
Everyone felt trepidation.
"That looks like something dangerous."
"I ain't doing that."
"Be his guinea pig? What does that mean?"
"I know what pig means, and that's enough. I ain't becoming a pig or dog. Kill me if you dare!"
They muttered among themselves, but seeing the lack of response, Aleron pulled up a random person in front—a middle-aged man in a dirty trench coat, an Epic-rank powerhouse.
The middle-aged man looked in his late fifties and was one of the worst trash in the group. Aleron felt angry just as the memories regarding him resurfaced, but he put it in the back of his mind and focused on the present.
Despite the middle-aged man's struggle, he was bound by energy chains and arrived before Aleron, trembling and in fear of the unknown as he didn't know what that strange liquid was going to do.
Without further ado, Aleron waved his finger and forcefully opened the man's mouth, enough to make it crack. He did that deliberately to inflict some pain on him because of the anger he felt towards him, and everyone else here.
"Arghh!"
'They gave much pain to other people who just wished to live peacefully...' Aleron sighed. "Shut up," Aleron sealed the man's voice by cutting his vocal cords before he poured the entire vial of this strange Spiritline Trigger into his mouth.
Odar gulped upon seeing strange lights flashing from inside the man's body while Aleron looked on with anticipation and curiosity about the incoming changes.
"Hrrgaaaahhh!!"
A blood-curdling scream left the man's mouth despite his torn vocal cords.
Soon, the man lost his human appearance, slowly turning into something else.
His height increased and his skin turned popping and destroying before growing a wood-like
structure.
Brown and green wooden branch-like sticks emerged from his body as well, bearing purple and light blue patterns.
His face turned grotesque wooden with a long egg-plant-like nose and light blue patterns oozing out coldness akin to ice.
In the end, after an entire two minutes of torture and transformation, the man turned into a two-meter tall humanoid with a wooden skin structure bearing purple and ice blue patterns, long wooden limbs with claw-like hands, a grotesque face with an eggplant-like nose, and a tree trunk-like open hollow head from which a purple-blue crystal grew out like a cone hat. "W-What the hell?" Odar was dumbfounded.
"Very interesting," Aleron's eyes shone. "And it feels powerful."
[Gachapi: It is indeed interesting. I've scanned and compiled its data. Take a look, Master.] [???]
-Rank: Undetermined.
-Source Space:
-> Has a strange core with a unique energy that births from a combination of Mana and the body's strange vital blood.
-Attributes: Ice and Wood. Appears to have exceptional harmony with the Ice and Wood elements.
-Stats:
-> Strength: 138,200
-> Agility: 120,390
-> Health: 150,602
-> Stamina: 141,080
-> Magic Potency: 174,105
-> Unknown energy pool: 200,490
"Woah, its physical stats shot through the sky," Aleron was startled. "From Epic-rank stats to directly into Primeval-rank stats. What about his soul?"
[Gachapi: His soul is intact but affected, though not much. His rank is unknown because this is unconventional. He doesn't have Mana but still absorbs Mana into a part of his body, which then turns Mana into strange energy.]
[Gachapi: This strange energy is unique and niche, having extreme synergy with Ice and Wood elements. It's stronger than Mana if he uses Ice and Wood powers with it.]
Aleron's eyes flashed, 'Alright, we are going to re-create this. I was observing the entire process and how that liquid affects this body from a foundational level, so all we need to do is to create the same catalyst using Magilore that can achieve this transformation from others.'
[Gachapi: The possibility of creating such a catalyst with Magilore is not zero, but it entirely depends on you.]
'Good. I am cooking it then.'
"Odar, you can go and busy yourself with other stuff. I will call you when needed."
"Alright, boss! I'll go and train on the island to consolidate my strength."
After Odar left, Aleron looked at the mutant while rubbing his chin, "Let's give a name to this mutation...hmmm..."
After a few seconds, Aleron snapped his finger, "That's it. I'll call them Xorgs."
"Grrr...."
"And you are Xorg-A," Aleron grinned.
Xorg-A growled at Aleron, but the chains still bound him and he couldn't do anything.
"Now then, we'll need two experimental subjects, which we have plenty of," Aleron looked at the four thousand people and grinned. "Let's cook the Xorg-serum before morning, Gachapi."
...
While Aleron started cooking and experimenting with Xorg-serum, the others were also working hard.
The undead residents of Necropolis were working to collect resources on this island, especially from the Arcane Veins to mine to the Magic Stones.
Zombies, Vampires, and Werewolves with families and kids were learning to become adventurers and becoming stronger within the progressing society of the Necropolis.
Beastfolks were learning magic from two Death Lords, with one being a former court mage and another being a former principal of the Falran kingdom's academy.
Not only that but the other six summons from Eastern Fantasy Banner were also working hard. All of them were at Legendary rank and were cultivating to reach Exceed-rank using the abundant resources on this island.
Four of them had directly gone into Arcane Veins. Since Arcane Veins were SSS-rank, the spirit energy in them was massive and allowed them fast progress.
The remaining two-Ruan Gioh, the Deadly Illusion, and Lee Sin Yun, the Destructive Staff, were meditating in the Beastfolk village because they had reached the peak of Legendary rank and needed to break through.
As such, those two meditated in the Beastfolk village while teaching cultivation methods to individuals who had an affinity with learning cultivation paths.
Insanguish the Anglerfish continued to explore the seas while its master, Arran'tel was closing onto the Northern Star continent and would soon step his foot in this tumultuous land ruled by powerful beasts lords.
Last, but not least, Darzax, Enorin, Riki, Yueha, Mei, Hua, and Fang had finally finished their preparation and departed to explore the Underwater Abyssal Kingdom.
