Chapter 80: Aleron's Plan (2)
"What's that whirlpool?"
"He is doing something."
Everyone looked up as they saw a blue-silver whirlpool forming high above.
Melkern and Marcus looked at each other with shock as they realized what it was by sensing the aura.
"Teleportation portal?" Marcus furrowed his brows. "Why? To Where?"
Outside, Ben gulped and spoke amidst the public confusion, his voice broadcasting loud and clear.
"Umm, what is that, young master Ale?"
"A portal," Aleron grinned and took back his hand as the portal finally finished forming.
Afterward, he flew up and Ben hurriedly followed along with the camera as all screens showed Aleron.
"The second surprise is that I am adopting this city," Aleron smiled. "If anything happens or trouble arises, it will only take a second for me to come or send someone."
"Moreover, I will also be stationing a force called Guardians here. These people will live here and act to protect the city," Aleron grinned. 'Well, the guardians would be the souls who finish their punishment. Since they turn over a new life after repenting, I can make them live their life again, I guess.'
Everyone was shocked hearing Aleron's declaration.
"From now on, this city will only be proper and no one will be unhappy here," Aleron showed a victory gesture with his right hand while grinning, "No evil demons or evil will people stay where I tread."
They had seen his power already, his words carried immense weight.
So the general people of the city, who wanted nothing more than to live their lives with their families in peace, Aleron's words were a blessing even more precious than god.
Because unlike the goddess they worshiped and didn't act for them, Aleron acted and removed all evil from the city after killing the demon who was about to sacrifice all of them in the formation.
As such, the response the public gave to Aleron for announcing his surprise was loud cries and cheers throughout the city and arena.
Only the minority of people who were in lead and power positions had questions and worries popping up in their minds, unable to deduce and predict the flow of development as they couldn't imagine Aleron's next moves.
"Hahaha, I like this radiant positive energy from you all," Aleron couldn't help but laugh as his voice drowned others and people quieted down, eagerly listening.
"I don't know when will Guardians be ready, but worry not. This portal will be here and also a giant barrier covering the city that can grant protection to all individuals and units like before," Aleron smiled. "This city and its people will be protected."
People cheered as loud uproar rang again, but it soon quieted down as Aleron continued.
"However, you all listen as well," Aleron broadly grinned, "Be good and don't cross the lines. I know people can annoying, and conflict can happen, but the world is big and so should your heart. So, work and rise together."
"Be of sound mind and sound reasoning. Most of the people are not stupid, I know. Listen to the good side of the voice, not the bad one."
Aleron narrowed his eyes and added, "So, don't you dare cross the lines and spread suffering to innocents. Otherwise, the Punisher will descend again."
*Uproar!*
"That's right!"
"Young master Ale, thank you!"
People cheered and roared in support as Aleron laughed and added with a short bow, "Now then, people. It's time to say farewell, but my words and spirit in them will remain here and in you all."
"Always."
After saying that, Aleron teleported back into the VIP room while Ben took over the mic. "How was the show, everyone?" Aleron asked with a grin as he arrived in the room.
"Flawless, my lord," Darzax said with a smile.
"Nailed it, boss. The people of this city support you with all their heart given their response," Riki grinned.
Hua laughed and nodded, "That's right. Now we only need the barrier."
"Indeed," Yueha smiled and said, "When they see the barrier and know they can have the same safety as when that demon came in case of future trouble, you'll live in their hearts."
Aleron rubbed his nose while smiling and nodded, "Humu, that's good."
"Now that I've said that, I'll focus on creating the barrier. Fang, give me the knowledge of your formation. I'll create my barrier based on that. I should be able to create that."
"Understood, my lord," Fang smiled and nodded. "I shall compile it into a scroll."
"I'll send you in. Do it there," Aleron nodded and waved his hand, sending Fang into Eldertide Archipelago.
Meanwhile, Rias and Roxen remained dumbfounded and slackjawed ever since Aleron arrived. "Ale, this..." Rias snapped out and mumbled, speechless and not knowing what to say.
"Yea?" Aleron turned to her. "You want me to adopt your Empire as well? Haha, I'll eventually do it, don't worry."
"For now, let's call it a day and find a hotel to stay in," Aleron smiled.
*Knock...knock...*
Aleron waved his hand and opened the door as Melkern and Marcus walked in.
"Apologise for the intrusion, but I thought I should hurry to talk to you about some matters,' Melkern said with a wry smile.
"I am Marcus, the manager of this Playground," Marcus smiled and bowed. "Pleased to meet you, young master Ale."
"It's fine. I planned to have a talk with you later anyway," Aleron smiled. "After all, I'll leave it to you to handle the Guardians."
"Me?" Melkern was surprised.
Aleron chuckled while thinking, 'The irredeemable thirty-thousand people who had black marks are not worth giving a second chance. I'll completely put them under control and give them forceful power so we can exercise their use for good.'
"Ten Primeval-rank powerhouses as Guardians," Aleron grinned. "I am still thinking about how to approach this, but I'll complete everything I said before leaving. Which means...I'll be done in the next three days."
"If you are thinking about staying here for three days, how about I provide you with a big enough mansion for you and your people," Marcus said with a smile and slight bow, "Please allow me this opportunity. After all, you have done much for us and this city already."
'Master, I feel like we are being observed.'
Aleron heard Yueha's voice just as he was about to reply.
His eyes flashed and he scanned the room, even scanning for soul-related phenomena, and
soon found something near Marcus.
It was a strange tiny ethereal eyeball with a faint golden eye.
"What is that?" Aleron pointed his finger at it and released a ghastly white string that grabbed the eyeball and pulled it toward him.
