Chapter 63: Aleron's Judgement (1/2)
Chapter 63: Aleron's Judgement (1/2)
Everyone looked at the sizable 3D map Aleron created in the air.
The confusion regarding the marks above people was cleared soon after that, and it made everyone tongue-tied.
"We are going to weed out this tiny amount of red and black," Aleron said as he looked at the map. "They are obstacles in the way of happy lives and spread suffering. So, no matter who they are, they'll be punished in my way."
"How are you going to do that? There are over five hundred thousand people..." Lake Aurspec asked, feeling overwhelmed and a sort of fear in anticipation of his answer.
The others were also dumbfounded with their emotions going haywire.
'My house...' Bergetta Rose saw three red marks at the place of her organization's mansion and her heart leaped to her throat. 'Who?'
"I am thinking about teleporting all of them right in front of me. Let's take a look at them," Aleron said before his eyes flashed, marking all people red and black marks in the city.
Afterward, Aleron looked to the left and waved his hand as he unleashed Magilore before shaping it into a vast metal platform enough to hold a million people with enough space to have picnics in groups.
'I should add in Mana Seal and fuel it enough to forcefully prevent them from using magic,' Aleron modified the platform since there were legendary-rank and epic-rank powerhouses in the list.
Aleron and others were floating 500 meters above the city, so people below were shocked to see a big shade appearing out of nowhere.
Soon after that, an exact 502,390 number of people vanished from the city and appeared on the platform.
Those people panicked and clamored, their ages varying from as young as late teens to oldies in their nineties.
Aleron floated above the people while Rias, Roxen, Melkern, and others also tailed behind him.
"Are you all wondering why you are here?" Aleron asked as he looked at the people. He saw people from various professions and seemingly innocent-looking ones with red marks.
Weak people in Mortal rank and Adept rank who were the majority of residents of the city mostly had red marks.
But Aleron still spotted some and it made him wonder just what cruelty they did to people that gave them a black mark.
A few old men and women in some high-class outfits especially had black marks above them. Some people were also sleeping and suddenly arrived here with confusion.
Most people were adventurers, but a number of city residents in high government positions to handle the city's development were also here, some even having black above them.
The adventurers numbered high and most of them were bonafide criminals hiding in the city after killing, raping, and causing chaos in various towns and villages since such settlements generally didn't have much security against powerful adventurers.
This city was one of the top five biggest cities with people coming from various parts of the continent. A good amount of people were from other places and were now lined up on the platform.
And after Aleron asked his question, he saw a strange phenomenon in the people. He saw them looking at each other and many had faces that showed panic and fear as they seemed to realize that something bad was going to happen to them.
"Why are we here?!" An Epic-rank powerhouse in his sixties shouted as his question rang loud among the uproar.
"You all are here because you've sinned and spread suffering," Aleron said, his eyes constantly flickering as he was creating a skill utilizing his soul force with Magilore. "What?!"
"How can you say that?!"
"I didn't do anything!"
Three other Epic-rank powerhouses spotted Bergetta Rose and contacted her with their comm card.
Bergetta received the call and looked at them, but only sighed before she looked at Aleron's back, ignoring them.
Meanwhile, Aleron also ignored the clamor and was focused on creating a skill that would make his work faster.
"Clan head Melkern, what is this?!" A young man wearing a white robe asked with a dark expression. He was a Legendary-rank powerhouse and a prince of a nearby kingdom.
'Dman it! I can't even use magic. What's going on?!'
All powerhouses on the platform had tried to escape, but nobody could move an inch, let alone use magic.
A minute passed by with everyone getting more anxious by the second.
Melkern and others didn't answer anyone despite seeing some familiar faces. Several people
of the Aurspec clans were also present, but they were also ignored.
"Clan head, that..." Lake looked at a woman in her mid-twenties, who was his uncle's daughter.
His uncle wasn't present but he was an early-stage Exceed-rank powerhouse.
"Mr. Aleron," Melkern finally spoke with hesitation. "Are you sure about this?"
"You dare doubt our Master?" Yueha frowned as she shot a cold glance at Melkern.
"It's fine, Yue." Aleron had also just finished creating the skill and smiled at Melkern, "I'm sure about my judgment, Mr. Melker."
Turning his head back to the platform, Aleron used the skill as countless ethereal white-blue strings released from Aleron's forehead.
Each string struck a person on their forehead as Aleron read their memories.
The skill worked such that it would only show him memories of their actions that granted them the red/black marks by imposing his intention in Magilore to search for suffering caused and creating an Arcane Syllabus like 'Suffering Search' by combing it with his soul force.
"Mr. Melkern," Aleron spoke while keeping his head to observe the people and sorting the memories. "I am going to divide people into three sections now."
"The first section is about the bunch of people with black marks. They are hopeless."
Aleron waved his hand as many people were enveloped in chains and floated up in the sky.
"What are you doing?!"
"Please let me go."
"Release me!" the nearby kingdom's prince shouted at Aleron with red eyes, already feeling death approaching from his premonition as he lost it.
Everyone had seen him fighting and destroying that demon with an arrow that opened a new horizon of power for them.
"You all will live for as long as possible," Aleron looked at them with settled anger as he calmly said, "Your lives will be used to give peace to others. I will make sure of it."
He knew what they'd done from memories, and it just made him too much angry. Death was a freedom they didn't deserve.
In the next second, around thirty thousand people disappeared as Aleron sent them to Eldertide Archipelago.
Using his increasing mastery of Magilore and Soul Force, Aleron directly found Odar and sent him soul transmission from outside.
[Aleron: Odar, I am sending some people. They are the worst of the scum and criminals. Bind
all of them in slave collars. If slave collars are lacking, start their production in the
necropolis's crafting houses.]
[Odar: Hello, can you hear me, boss?]
[Aleron: I can.]
[Odar: This is a cool skill you've learned, haha. Alright, leave them to me. I'll make sure they
are collared as soon as possible.]
[Aleron: They'll be under your care from now on. As for your role, I'll tell you after finishing
this matter.]
[Odar: Whatever the role is, I'll take that on, boss! Alright, I see the people. Wait, boss. I thought you said some people, but that's....holy cow, that's so many slaves?!]
[Aleron: Yeah. After you collar them, use them to build a huge prison for their living and send
them to explore the island and collect various resources.]
[Odar: Good idea, haha. Alright, leave them to me, boss. I'll whip them up good!]
