Chapter 219: Settling In the City (4), Invitation and Fight

*Swoosh!*

Aleron exerted his full physical strength while empowering his scythe with a mystic skill: Void Blade, making his scythe extremely light, sharp, and penetrative with extra damage stacked.

Aleron's figure turned into a gust of wind, his speed extreme as the last Rabbit hunter was sliced and vanished.

A minute ago, this last Rabbit Hunter that trailed behind him was lured into his trap, sealing it within a spatial binding.

Aleron had taken this chance to quickly use Chaos Breathing Art and recover his Chakra before using Void Blade to finish it off.

[Congratulations. You have completed Trial 6 within 7 minutes and 4 seconds by killing all five Rabbit Hunters.]

Aleron entered a portal and emerged from the gate in the hall.

"What? He finished it by killing the Rabbit Hunters?!"

"Those annoying bastards are so fast and perceptive....but he killed them instead."

'It seems he is very capable, especially his Mystic path, considering his aura,' Elder Ken looked at Aleron.

Meanwhile, a palm-sized cartoon-like chibi fox manifested near Aleron before saying, "Congratulations. Here's your 6-hour all-you-can-eat coupon.

The fox conjured a card before Aleron and vanished.

||

'Nice,' Aleron grinned and grabbed the card. 'Well, since I've completed the most difficult Trial 6, the other five should be easier.'

Just as he was about to walk, Aleron paused and looked at the old man with three people who stood there.

"Hello," Elder Ken approached Aleron while smiling faintly. "I am Elder Ken, a member of Lossblaze Palace."

'Let's see if he is affiliated with any organization yet.'

"I am Aleron," Aleron smiled. "Hi."

'No reaction? It seems he hasn't heard of Lossblaze Palace. He must be new in the upper cosmos realm. If he ascended from the lower cosmos realm, that's even better.'

Aleron activated his eyes of absolute judgment and saw a black mark above the elder, making him internally frown before he quickly deactivated the eye.

'I can't...I am not powerful enough to bring big changes yet. I need to be flexible if I want to do what I think is right and keep doing it.'

"Aleron, since you didn't mention any organization, then can I assume you have yet to join any?" Elder Ken asked.

'Damn, why is Elder Ken talking like this to this bastard?'

'True. He never behaved this warmly towards us.'

'Uhh, he is not even that warm, but since he is so indifferent to us, it just feels like it.'

The trio behind Elder Ken stole glances at Aleron while conversing with each other.

"Yeah, I am not affiliated with any organization yet," Aleron nodded.

"Then how about joining Lossblaze Palace?" Elder Ken asked with a smile. "You might not know, but Lossblaze Palace is one of the nine main sections of Prosper Path Alliance."

'Prosper Path Alliance?' Aleron raised his eyes. 'I've heard about this alliance while walking. It seems to be new and is formed from the most powerful forces of the upper cosmos, right?'

[Gachapi: That seems to be the case, indeed. Also, this Elder is at Unbound-rank lifeform, one above Paragon.]

'I see. But why does he want to recruit me?'

"It seems that you've heard of Prosper Path Alliance," Elder Ken chuckled. "I can feel that your talent and overall ability are powerful. Your eyes contain sagacity, and your aura is profound. I believe that joining Lossblaze Palace, thereby becoming a part of Prosper Path Alliance, is the only path to bloom your full potential."

[Astral: Yo, this guy knows how to lick someone's butt.]

[Gachapi: This guy, he wants to recruit Master, heh.]

'I feel something nefarious. It's just my gut feeling, but my instincts tell me something's wrong with this guy,' Aleron thought as he looked into Elder Ken's eyes. 'This offer and that black mark...Tsk, I want to break his skull open with an axe and then read his soul to get all the memories, but that's outside of my capability for now.'

Although Aleron didn't answer, his hesitation was captured by Elder Ken, so he laughed and said, "It's fine. Here, I'll give you this crystal. You can break it and arrive right before the door of the Lossblaze Palace branch in this city if you make the decision to join us."

'Here's my final piece of bread,' Elder Ken thought before he added, "Since I can feel your abundant potential, you won't have to worry about survival or resources. If you can pass the special test, then you'll become one of the elite members of Prosper Path Alliance, gaining much support and resources along with freedom."

"There's more, but I can only tell this for now," Elder Ken caressed his goatee as he smiled. "Hopefully, I'll see you at our door. Good luck, young man."

After saying that, Elder Ken and the three others behind him were covered in a whirling white cloud briefly before they vanished.

Aleron looked at the crystal with an eccentric formation carved on it along with a symbol of stairs for a second before he put it away.

'I have an idea. But before that, we'll have to settle in the city by getting a territory,' Aleron's eyes glinted.

Aleron went to Trials 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 in order and got a total of 21 hours of free eating in this giant fancy restaurant!

'Damn, we don't need to worry about special food for a month with these vouchers. According to rules, we can't take out using the vouchers, so I'll bring others here so they can also win,' Aleron grinned.

...

Aleron left the restaurant. He had eaten three dishes, so he wasn't hungry anymore. As such, he decided to look for something else.

Leaving the city, Aleron went into the chaotic wilderness a few kilometers away from the city

in the north.

'Do you think we'll find a dungeon?' Aleron wondered.

[Gachapi: Not sure about that, but we'll surely find trouble, Master.]

Aleron had just entered the chaotic wilderness, which had exotic plants, trees, flying rivers,

and adjusting mountains. This area wasn't empty but filled with Chaotic beasts as well.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

'Hmm? Someone's after me?'

[Gachapi: Indeed. They left the city a bit after you.]

'I remember their presence. This group was in the restaurant's trial hall.'

[Astral: So they want to loot our Mastah, eh? Are they strong?]

Aleron's eyes glinted, and he activated an active ability of his Innate Gear, entering a shadow

of a boulder several meters away.

Whispers of the Phantom Cloak/Back-Rare-order

Storm Fangs of Silver Wolf / Heart - Special-order.

Aleron had two Innate Gears within him.

Heart-slot Innate Gears were always more powerful, bearing more effects than Innate gears

of other slots. That Vital Heart of Barbarian was Primary-order Innate Gear, but it gave four

effects.

[Whispers of the Phantom Cloak]

-Rank: Rare-order.

-> Requirement: 300 stats in Physical and Arcane parameters.

-> Gear Placement: Back.

-> Effect(s):

1-Increase physical exertion, allowing you to bring out 30% more physical force extra.

2-Active Ability-Rest in Shade: Consume 1 Chakra per second in exchange for allowing you

to enter a shadow.

3—Active Ability-Thin Presence: Consume 1 Chakra per second in exchange for significantly reducing your presence and aura. Only the Transcedent-rank powerhouse can see through

Thin Presence.

4-Increase Physical and Magic stats by 30%.

-Note: Activating Rest in Shade and Thin Presence at the same time will make you

undiscoverable by even Transcendent-rank powerhouses.

Aleron hid himself using the Rest In Shade ability of this innate Gear. He didn't use Thin

Presence since the group after him was in Paragon-rank.

"Where did he go?"

"This is where his aura is last captured in the compass. Hmmm, did he sense us?"

"Probably. It's not like we were trying to hide."

It was a group of four people. Two women and two men.

One woman and man appeared human, while the other two were different. The second woman

was a demon, and the second man was an elf.

Aleron observed them and thought, 'They must be in a single party. I wonder if they have a

territory in the city.'

Aleron activated his Eyes of Absolute Judgement and saw red and black dots on their heads.

'So, I can kill them, eh? Alright.'

[Gachapi: Are you planning to fight? Their Mystic Path level seems to be around 8 or 9, so we

have to deal the finishing blow quickly.]

[Astral: Humph, they are no match for Mastah. It's not like their abilities and combat arsenal

are as powerful as ours.]

'Let's see how it goes,' Aleron's eyes glinted. 'I gamble that I will kill two of those four within

1 minute.'

[Gamble Quest accepted.]

'Only two thousand points as a reward? It seems this won't be difficult.'

Mystic Skill: Sink-Hole Maw.

Suddenly, the group of four sensed something and saw pitch-black darkness on the ground

spanning a 100-meter radius.

All of them were startled, but the first move was by Aleron, and all of them fell under the

ground.

He forced them to spatially displace themselves 100 meters deep into the ground without breaking it. As such, all of them were struck inside!

Aleron could observe them, and they could also sense him now that he had attacked, so he

emerged from the shadow and initiated his second attack without wasting any time.

Mystic Skill: Spatial Blade Execution.

*BOOM* *BOOM*

*Slash!*

Two of them burst out of the ground while the other two were injured but also managed to

explode out of the ground.

Aleron's strategy was indeed effective. The ground below this forest wasn't normal. It was

chaotic and dangerous in a way, making them waste their Chakra as they had to use a skill to break free and emerge to the surface.

In the next second, five lights blinked and zoomed around in the forest before two of them

vanished as Aleron killed them.

'This is easy,' Aleron grinned.

[Gachapi: Your skills strike them as they can't dodge them, but you are dodging their skills with your crazy spatial movement skills. Master's Mystic Path is truly powerful. That bastard old man must have sensed its aura and potential from how you completed trial 6, which is

why he wants to recruit you.]

[Astral: Indeed.]

[Gachapi:....]

"So, what business do you have for me?" Aleron asked as he looked at the remaining two. One

human woman and the elf man.

The other two were dead, their body lying lifeless in different places.

'Shit, shit! Why is he so powerful?!'

'What's with his skills?!'

'We have to escape, but it's going to be hard. You got any idea, Elias?'

'Nothing, Ruby.' "Wait, we don't harbor any ill will towards you," Ruby quickly said as she weakly smiled. "It's

true that we followed you, but we didn't want to kill you."

"Then why did you follow me?" Aleron raised his eyebrows.

"It's just that we wanted to buy the food voucher," Elias said with a sigh. "None of us have

been able to complete Trial 6, and our party doesn't have a Mystic Chef. The food there is a must before going to a dungeon or any activated chaotic phenomenon since it gives buffs." "Yes, yes," Ruby quickly said. "Paying for that food using chaos stones is expensive, after

all."

"I see," Aleron nodded in understanding and smiled.
