Chapter 217: Settling In the City (2), Chaos Breathing Art
Chapter 217: Settling In the City (2), Chaos Breathing Art
Desolate Mountain Park.
It was a huge mountain over ten thousand kilometers tall and 1000 kilometers wide at the base.
But it wasn't a normal mountain.
"It seems that this is our limit," Aleron looked at the mist above them after they arrived at a pond amidst woods at around 1850 kilometers mark.
"Indeed. The pressure and energy required here is barely at the passing mark for us to meditate without constantly losing energy," Jiang said.
The higher they went up to the mountain, the atmospheric pressure and energy draining increased.
However, there was no monster on the mountain before the 5000-kilometer mark, making it an ideal place for newbies to meditate.
"Let's start."
Everyone floated on the pond in a cross-legged position, forming a circle with the scroll of Chaos Breathing Art in the middle.
Everyone's soul sense started comprehending the scroll of Chaos Breathing Art: Furnace of Fire-breathing Fish.
[Furnace of Fire-Breathing Fish]
-Difficulty: Medium.
-Speed: 72 per second.
-Method:
Step 1: Comprehend the formation of the Chaotic Furnace Vortex.
Step 2: Create the Chaotic Furnace Vortex using Chakra.
Step 3: Run the Chaotic Furnace Vortex manually, requiring proficient control.
Step 4: Once you run it manually, create a Chakra Rune infused with the method to run the Chaotic Furnace Vortex so that you can instantly run it by activating the rune to recover Chakra.
Everyone was stuck on Step 1 for a few hours before they managed to comprehend the formation.
Step 2 wasn't hard as they easily created the Chaotic Furnace Vortex in their source space, a huge furnace with a mystical orange fish breathing vortex. The furnace had a vortex around it that lit up in fire due to the fish, and that fire gathered in the furnace halfway before maintaining this motion.
The fish would absorb the fire it breathed from the furnace and breathe out again before it gathered in the furnace again—in a loop.
But Step 3 wasn't easy. They haven't tried absorbing Chaotic energy present in the atmosphere, but now they had to.
But unlike directly breathing it and flowing it in their source space like with absorbing Magilore and soul energy, they had to absorb the chaotic energy physically and magically, as in, sucking the chaotic energy through their mouth and nostrils, guiding it through their veins all over their body without letting them clash against each other, and creating an existing point magic that went through to their Source Space where they created the Chaotic Furnace Vortex.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
They met failure due to their inefficient and low control of Chaotic energy. The chaotic energy was also dangerous enough to burst their veins, so they had to maintain a certain level of control to guide the chaotic energy through all of their veins.
This vein-traveling process was a must to refine Chakra energy from it in the Chaotic Furnace Vortex because chaotic energy outside had all properties but not an identity.
Once it runs through their veins, the chaotic energy acquires the identity of those that absorb it. Only then Chakra energy, which is a mixture of Vigor energy, Magilore, and soul would form. Their Blood contained the identity of their vigor, soul, and magic due to one of the trinity of foundational paths.
Bloodline.
Step 3 was a process of training, learning, and improving while keeping calm and not getting irritated.
Their veins burst multiple times, and their Chakra was also exhausted regularly due to using it to heal themselves. The chaotic energy bursts in their veins put external residue, so they had to remove them using Chakra.
Twenty-four hours officially passed by since they arrived in the city while they were in step 3. 160 Chaos Stones were deducted as Aleron gave the party members Chaos Stones, and they paid.
The pay window was 24 hours. If they failed to pay, it would result in their instant death. After paying the tax, the group continued to complete step 3 as they were infinitely close to it. Aleron finished it first one hour into the new day and successfully finished step 4 in a minute, as the last step was easy. After creating this Chakra Rune with contained precise method on how to absorb Chakra through their veins, which he pain stackingly learned, it was on auto mode now.
"Phew, finally done."
Aleron grinned and let himself fall into the pond before swimming backstroke in leisure. 'I am hungry as hell. I should bring some native food here while they are still in training. They should also be hungry as hell after finishing, haha.'
The others were in deep focus, working hard to let this be their last attempt.
But a few of them soon burst their veins at the last moment, a few on the body, and a few in
their head.
The struggle continued while they calmed the rising anger.
Aleron created a Mystic Skill of teleportation, as he had a comprehensive space-related Trait in his Mystic Path.
But unlike a regular portal, Aleron created a barrier around the pond. This barrier acted as a space anchor, and people inside could connect to other space anchors marked by Aleron. With his permission, the people inside just need to think and target a desired space anchor to teleport there. There was no need to go through a portal, as this was a much more advanced method.
Reaching level 2 in the Astral Reaver concept meant that he gained higher knowledge and a way to use space and time, and this was directly reflected in his Mystic Path's traits related to
space and time!
Memory space anchor.
Aleron marked a location he visited in the city where he saw a street with restaurants and food in his memory, and that anchor was established there, approximately a kilometer above the
ground.
His Monitor Dome's range was only 2.1 kilometers in the Chaosverse, corresponding to his 210
Soul power.
No equipment boosted soul power, so this was everyone's lowest stat.
As Aleron appeared one kilometer above the food street, he muttered, 'Yorin should be breaking through to Paragon-rank soon. Once he comes here, he can learn advanced alchemy
here to process and handle resources of Paragon-rank.'
'We won't have to pay pill crafting fees once he comes here.'
Aleron descended on the wide street with many people walking. The street had fancy
restaurants of all kinds, be it modern-looking, hut-type designs, tree-house-type restaurants, and other exotic shapes and sizes.
Some people entered those restaurants while some bought from food stalls outside and ate
while walking and talking.
The population of the city was massive, and all of them were Paragon-rank. Not all, but at least 80% were Paragon-rank, while the remaining 20% were likely a new generation of Ascension-rank powerhouses of upper cosmos forces that arrived here under the protection
of their seniors.
Aleron walked the street while observing the exotic and unique food dishes of various types of
meat and vegetables.
The fragrance in the street was enough to make one drool and hungry.
'God damn, this is heaven! I want to eat many things, but....'
[Astral: I am hungry, Mastah. Eat something so I can also get a bit full.]
[Gachapi: your existence is one of the factors that makes Master hungry more than regular
Paragon-rank powerhouses, you know?]
[Astral: Humph, but I also provide power to Master in return!]
[Gachapi: I can't deny that. Good job.]
[Astral: hehe.]
