Chapter 8: Having a date in the apocalypse

Chapter 8: Having a date in the apocalypse

Holding her breath as she tried not to make a single noise, Kyoko widened her eyes when she saw a group of those "things" walking around the gymnasium. There were so many of them, but the worst was that she knew them all, which frightened her even more. She knew they were all her students, and they had become something that wasn't human. Moreover, they gathered around the gymnasium's exit, making it impossible for them to go out.

Their pale, bloody, and horror-like expressions frightened her further, but when she wondered what they should do, she saw Isao put his baton into his pocket and then held the baseball bat, which he grabbed from the storage before he threw it into the distance.

*Bang!*

The sound of the bat hitting against the wall echoed through the gymnasium, causing all those "things" to run in the direction of that noise.

"RAAR!!!"

At that moment, Isao moved quietly toward the exit when all of those "things" moved into the source of the noise, giving them a chance to run away.

Yet, for Kyoko, who saw all of this, her eyes shone brightly, feeling excited since they could come out so easily.

'As expected of him!'

Nevertheless, those "things" in the gymnasium were only a few among many.

Outside the gymnasium, it was an absolute hell.

"No way..."

Even though Kyoko knew that she had to be quiet, what she saw before her was like the scene of hell. The screams of the people, the group of those "things" that growl like beasts, trying to search for prey, and many destructions within this school.

When she saw all of this, her entire body was weak, and she almost dropped Isao's bag if not he had caught it, causing her to slap her large buttocks harshly with his free hand.

'It hurts!'

"Don't get distracted. You almost made us die."

Unlike before, Isao's voice was cold, and he didn't even hide his anger at Kyoko.

If he didn't have a system that gave him an ability, they would be swarmed and die due to this woman.

"I-I am sorry... I won't do this again..."

Kyoko realized what she had done and quickly apologized timidly.

"You should since next time we might become like them."

Isao knew that being gentle all the time was wrong. When this woman made a mistake, he had to remind her, or else she would think that she could walk over him, thinking that he had fallen over her like a captive and thought that anything she did was forgiven.

"Or do you want to become like them? That way, you won't have to worry about everything?"

"No... no, I won't do it again. I am sorry."

Kyoko was so scared at that moment since Isao was so different from before and kept apologizing.

"I don't want to get angry at you, but you should understand our situation. A single mistake will lead us to die, and I don't want you to die, so understand, okay?"

"Yes, I am sorry, Isao-kun."

When one gave a stick, they also needed to give a carrot.

This way, Isao knew that this teacher would be obedient to him.

Nevertheless, as he had said before, those "things" couldn't use their eyesight. They wouldn't be noticed as long as they stayed in silence and quietly walked.

Because of this, when they were surrounded, Isao would throw something into the distance, causing all of those "things" to swarm into the source of the sound. This was also why they could easily reach the school entrance, giving her a chance to change her heels into slippers.

"Does it fit?"

"It feels a bit loose, but it should be okay."

"No, change into the more fit one. It might be something minor, but you shouldn't slack on this kind of thing."

"But... there are many of them..."

"It's okay. I am here."

Looking at him, who stayed by his side, Kyoko nodded and changed into a different pair of slippers until she found the correct size.

"Done?"

"It's perfect."

"Then, let's go to the cafeteria."

"Okay."

As the two walked, it was easy for them to walk quietly and sometimes make a noise to attract the attention of those "things," which allowed them to pass safely.

Kyoko had also gotten used to this situation and walked so close to him. Frankly, she wanted him to carry her, but she knew how heavy she was, and with two hands, it should have been easier for him to take care of many things. Still, she had to say Isao's stamina was so crazy, which made her mind wander in a strange direction.

'No! No! I can't think about that here!'

Yet, it couldn't be helped when her heart beat rapidly due to fear; it somehow enhanced the lust in her body. Moreover, having sex made her forget about many things, which was why she was... addicted to more.

'And that harsh voice...'

While it scared her, Kyoko felt excited when he harshly scolded her.

"We have arrived. Let's pick the food."

"Okay."

His act of throwing a stone into the distance caused a loud noise and attracted all those "things" and allowed Isao and Kyoko to pick up the food and drinks that they needed.

Nevertheless, why did it feel like this woman had become horny again?

While Isao was speechless, he didn't say anything since sometimes it was better to keep quiet.

"Done?"

"Yeah," Kyoko nodded. "Let's go to the teacher's office." She wanted to get away from this place as soon as possible. Moreover, she felt much safer inside the car, a small place with only her and him, than in this school, where they could be eaten by those "things" anytime.

"Okay. Walk close. You don't have to be in a hurry. I will match your pace."

"Thanks."

Kyoko smiled and looked at his figure from behind, which protected her from anything.

As expected, it was so easy for them to walk around, especially when Isao had brought many small stones with him before they entered, so when they saw a group of those "things," he would always throw one of those stones into the distance, causing a loud noise and attracting those "things" away from them.

"But has everyone become those "things"?"

Isao thought that he would meet one or two people who were still alive, yet unfortunately, he hadn't met any.

"It's fortunate that you let us stay on the storage."

If Isao hadn't said they should stay in storage, they might have become like them.

However, Kyoko knew that even if she stayed on the storage, without Isao, she knew that she was as good as die.

"Right?"

Yet, when Kyoko saw this meaningful smile, she blushed, feeling embarrassed, and lightly hit his arm, admonishing him.

Still, when they were about to walk to the teacher's office, they heard a female scream.

"EEEEEKKKKK!!!!"

The scream was so loud that it was like a shrill, showing the horror felt by the female.

"Isao..."

"Let's go there."

While hesitant, Kyoko nodded.

The source of the voice was somewhat close, but fortunately, there weren't many of those "things," and they could smoothly walk toward it.

"Do-Don't you dare to come close to me!"

They saw a female with pink hair tied in twin tails, plopped on the ground, and being cornered by one of those "things," clearly frightened by it.

"Takagi-san!"

There was another boy beside her, looking at her and screaming like he was about to help, yet he didn't move a single muscle, only stayed in a place.

"Wh-What to do?!"

If Kyoko hadn't seen it with her own eyes, then she might not have thought to help, but when it happened in front of her eyes, she knew that she had to help.

Nevertheless, Isao watched this scene in silence for a while, thinking that the skirt of the female student of his school was so short that when she plopped on the ground, her blue, white striped panties were in full view before his eyes.

She had healthy, plump legs and ample breasts that kept shaking due to fear.

"....."

Isao took a deep breath and knew that he had to help, especially when he had decided to become a good person.

"Don't come closer! Get away from me!"

However, the girl overlooked Isao as she was in a panic. She kept throwing the precious trophies won by the students of their school to chase "it" away, but it was meaningless.

"Get away! Get away!"

When she thought that she was about to be bitten, the head of "it" smashed something.

*Bang!*

"It" fell to the ground before it stopped moving.

"...eh?"

The girl was in a daze, watching the young man with a baton in his hand, who had saved her, but he didn't look at her and watched the corpse that had turned into "it."

"So, it stops moving after being hit on the head, huh?"

As he muttered those words calmly, he looked at the girl and asked casually, " Are you okay?"

"Ah, um..."

The girl dumbly nodded.
