Book 3: Chapter 6 (5/8)
Realizing Kain wasnt joking about breaking her fighting spirit, Anwyn curiously asked, From my observation of your facial expression, you are serious about that, arent you?
Kain appeared to be disappointed as he said, I thought you are smarter compared to other Devils, looks like you are just on the same level of stupidity as them.
Being called stupid, Anwyn angrily sounded the horn next to her throne chair and at least thirty other Devils flew from all over the castle to in front of her.
Kain quickly looked around and saw Evienne also showing up. Kain stared into Evienne's eyes, smiled, and said, Bitch, I will dispose of you like a broken tool today. You didnt honor the Soul-Bound Contract with me, so dont expect me to show you any kind of mercy.
Seeing Kain was being surrounded by more than fifty Devils, Evienne smirked and said, You dare to come here again, excellent Because you wanted to kill me first, don't think that I will just stand here allowing you to do so. If I kill you now, no Watcher can condemn me for defending myself. Evienne then created two fiery swords and flew toward Kain to attack him together with the other Devils.
Black-hair Kain gave the commands and all twenty thousand Ancient Vampires to attack Anwyn while his conjured creatures stayed to defend him from any Devil that wanted to come close to him. To enhance the physical strength of his Ancient Vampires, Kain also activated the [Bloodlust] spell and casted the [Darkness] spell. Because [Bloodlust] was activated, the time duration for [Darkness] increased from five minutes to twenty minutes long. Kain carefully calculated and planned to repeatedly reactivate [Bloodlust] before casting another [Darkness] spell before the old [Darkness] spell duration runs out.
Seeing twenty thousand Ancient Vampires flying toward her direction, Anwyn giggled and asked, Are you seriously sending those weak creatures to attack me? Do you think the Devil Overlord is someone who can be defeated by mere mosquitos?
Finished saying that, Anwyn didnt even bother to stand up from her chair as she waved her left hand signaled the Magical Staff embedded with many unknown Magical Stones to attack. The magical staff was flying near Anwyns left hand and it started moving in front of her after she waved her hand. The Magical Staff then released a bright blue color magic beam toward the Ancient Vampires. Kain thought the bright blue color beam would kill his Ancient Vampires the moment it touched them but that didnt happen. The bright blue color beam suddenly increased in size and by the time it stopped, a Four-Eyes Giant approximately at least five hundred feet tall was standing in front of Anwyn blocking the Ancient Vampires from attacking her.
Anwyn pointed her left index finger at the Magical Staff and said, Do you think you are the only one who can play the number game? This Magical Staff can cast many types of magic spells and [Conjure Four-Eyes Giant] is just one of the spells. It doesn't matter how many magic spells my Magical Staff is going to cast, not a single drop of mana will be consumed from my mana pool. There is one thing you didnt know yet, this Magical Staff wasn't crafted using any type of crafting materials, because it was created through harvesting the souls of powerful magic casters in the lower realms. Those souls were carefully selected by me to be embedded into this Magical Staff. If you cant even get through it, dont even think about touching me.
After hearing Anwyn bragged about her Magical Staff, Kain thought to himself, A Magical Staff that was created using the souls of powerful magic casters huh. I thought that staff was just her Soul-Bound Weapon or a Soul Weapon. Why did she reveal the true power of that Magical Staff? Is she confident enough to think that I cant kill her? Or was she trying to trick me into believing her Magical Staff was that powerful? But why would she want to trick me?"
Anwyn observed Kain's facial expression and could guess what Kain was thinking, she said, I told you about the power of my Magical Staff because both of your souls will be embedded into it after I kill you. It's just as simple as that.
Black-hair Kain said, Do you have any idea how many times I heard that useless empty threat? I have received countless empty threats from many enemies and that led to the result of I am still alive today. I have defeated a God-tier Warrior before, which means I can defeat a Devil Overlord such as yourself.
God-tier Warrior? Dont make me laugh! Dont you dare to compare me to the ants! Anwyn angrily stated.
Anwyn was tired of speaking with Kain, she waved her hand signaling the Four-Eyes Giant to start tackling and he ran toward the Ancient Vampires to attack per her command. The Four-Eyes Giant was strong, but fighting against twenty thousand Ancient Vampires by itself would be impossible. That was why Anwyns Magical Staff spent some time creating nineteen more Four-Eyes Giants for them to fight with the Ancient Vampires. Seeing there was no way the Ancient Vampires could get through twenty Four-Eyes Giants, Anwyn closed her eyes because she believed the battle was going to end in her favor as usual.
The blonde-hair Kain who transformed into a Devil Battlemage wouldnt be able to win against more than fifty Devils by himself. He constantly receives new injuries but most of his old injuries were almost instantly healed. If it wasn't because of black-hair Kain who actively cast [Cure] ability and [Life Drain] spell, Devil-Kain could have died a long time ago.
The black-hair Kain who can conjure many creatures including twenty thousand Ancient Vampires wouldnt be able to defeat the twenty Four-Eyes Giants let alone getting through her Magical Staff. The result for this battle was set and Anwyn believed she was going to be the winner as always. Anwyn yawned and started to fall asleep thinking about Noe Clerico, the only human who could make a fool out of her. If it wasnt for Noes [Unlimited Life] spell, Anwyn could have killed him in one second using her unmatched magical power.
