Tsundere Campus Goddess and Rogue Master

Chapter 25

C25 – Tong Waner Was Caught

Wang Xiao didn’t know how many slaps he had given Yun Yi. When he was tired of the slaps, Yun Yi in front of him had already lost his human form. He looked like a pig head, and his swollen mouth was full of saliva.

“Big pot, nest, the wrong nest…”

Despite being struck so forcefully that it left him speechless, Yun Yi continued to implore Wang Xiao for leniency. His gaze appeared somewhat disoriented, and he seemed slightly bewildered.

“Realizing your mistake now won’t change anything,” Wang Xiao remarked.

Wang Xiao shook his head and wore a smile upon hearing this, refraining from further physical harm to Yun Yi. Instead, he addressed the stout man named Lin Hua, saying, “Fatty, this matter is ultimately in your hands. I won’t interfere with how you choose to handle it.”

After uttering those words, he placed Yun Yi in front of Lin Hua.

Contemplating the defenseless Yun Yi before him, Lin Hua fell silent. He harbored deep resentment toward Yun Yi for stealing away the girl he cared for, even though that girl had deceived him for an entire year.

“Lin Hua, please don’t harm him, spare him!” urged Jiajia at this moment.

Jiajia sprang to Yun Yi’s defense, extending her hand protectively and casting an anxious glance at Lin Hua.

Witnessing the girl he cherished shielding another man in such a manner, Lin Hua experienced a pang of heartache. After a brief pause, he spoke to Jiajia and Yun Yi, saying, “You two should leave!”

Upon hearing this, Jiajia’s lovely countenance instantly lit up with joy. She promptly assisted Yun Yi to his feet and departed from the square. The remaining associates also rose from the ground and followed suit.

“You let him go just like that?”

Wang Xiao had already anticipated the outcome, but he approached Lin Hua and inquired nonetheless.

“Let it be. My heart isn’t in it anymore. What’s the use of confronting him?” Lin Hua remarked.

As Jiajia and the others departed, a trace of sorrow welled up in Lin Hua’s eyes. In response to Wang Xiao’s query, he shook his head and replied.

“It’s great that you’re content!”

Wang Xiao refrained from saying much, recognizing that this matter belonged to someone else. In his shoes, he wouldn’t have let that man off so easily.

Once the audience realized the spectacle had ended, they too departed one by one.

“You mentioned that you’re a student in the First Year of the Traditional Chinese Medicine program, correct?”

Lin Hua swiftly composed himself and questioned Wang Xiao.

“Yes, I was on my way to register.”

Wang Xiao affirmed.

“Fantastic. I’m also a freshman in the Traditional Chinese Medicine program. I wonder if we’ll be assigned to the same dormitory. I’ll accompany you for the registration.”

A glimmer of joy crossed Lin Hua’s face as he extended the invitation to Wang Xiao.

“Alright,” Wang Xiao accepted readily. With Lin Hua already registered and well-acquainted with the process, his assistance would undoubtedly streamline the procedure.

……

Freshmen seemed to be everywhere at Forest City University. Crowds of people filled the campus, creating a veritable sea of students.

With Lin Hua’s guidance, Wang Xiao spent nearly an hour completing all the necessary procedures. He clutched a bed pillow, his military training uniform, and various other items as he made his way to the dormitory building.

“It’s the second week of military training just two weeks before the start of our freshman year at Forest City University. I’ve heard that the military is sending instructors to train us, and it’s going to be quite exhausting.”

As they climbed the dormitory stairs, Lin Hua helped Wang Xiao carry his belongings while expressing his frustration. “It’s a shame that all the girls in military training seem so similar. It’s hard to find a suitable partner.”

Eventually, Lin Hua even resorted to pounding his head and stomping his feet in despair.

……

Wang Xiao’s lips curled slightly at the corner as he observed the situation. It had only been an hour since that pudgy guy’s breakup, and now he was already contemplating a new romantic endeavor. His rebound rate was astonishing.

Soon enough, they reached the dormitory building designated for students of the Traditional Chinese Medicine System. Wang Xiao and Lin Hua were both enrolled in this system and shared the same class. However, their assigned dormitories differed. It was Lin Hua and a second-year senior sister responsible for dormitory allocation who had some sort of connection. This is how Wang Xiao ended up with his current dormitory.

Wang Xiao had no specific preferences for dormitory arrangements, so he allowed Lin Hua to handle it.

“Hey, guys, come on out! Our last dorm mate has arrived.”

Lin Hua forcefully pushed open the dormitory door and stepped inside, calling out to the two individuals within.

Wang Xiao followed him, his gaze scanning the dormitory. It wasn’t particularly spacious, with four beds on each side and computer desks underneath. A central aisle led to the balcony and the bathroom. The floor was littered with haphazardly strewn socks and clothes.

This dormitory didn’t resemble the typical living space of a freshman at all; it was more reminiscent of a sophomore’s or junior’s quarters.

Two young men, engrossed in their video games, sat at separate computer desks in the dormitory. They turned their heads in response to the commotion.

“Hey there, our final roommate is here! Fantastic! I’m so hungry, we could all head out for a meal together.”

One of the tall men said with a forthright smile.

“He possesses a certain level of handsomeness, but when I compare myself to him, I can’t help but acknowledge that he falls a bit short. So, I’ll humorously bestow upon you the title of the second-most handsome guy in our dormitory.”

The other good-looking young man, donned in stylish attire, also emitted a chuckle. His demeanor hinted at a well-off background.

Both of them responded warmly to Wang Xiao’s friendly disposition. After some conversation, Wang Xiao managed to learn their names. The tall individual went by Soong Ming, and considering his age, he held the senior position in the dorm. The other was known as Feng Lee, earning him the second-in-command status within the dormitory.

Lin Hua exhibited a mature demeanor but was, in fact, the youngest among the quartet, ultimately holding the fourth position.

Wang Xiao naturally settled into the third spot.

“Now that everyone from the dormitory is here, how about I treat us all to a meal today? What do you think?”

After the trio assisted Wang Xiao in tidying up his bed, Wang Xiao responded with a smile. He harbored no grievances regarding the dormitory hierarchy; instead, he felt a strong sense of camaraderie.

The three of them readily agreed. Shortly thereafter, the four of them arrived at a nearby eatery near the Forest City University’s entrance. They selected a cozy restaurant and placed orders for several dishes, along with a few bottles of beer, then patiently awaited their meal.

In no time, their ordered dishes were served.

“Before we dig in, let’s raise our glasses for a toast to commemorate the arrival of all our dormmates.”

Soong Ming suggested as he uncorked a bottle of beer and held it aloft.

Witnessing this, the other three also opened their beer bottles.

“May everyone enjoy a delightful meal tonight. Tomorrow morning, after the opening ceremony, we’ll embark on our military training, and appetites might not be as robust,” Wang Xiao shared with a grin.

Feng Lee also nodded and said.

“I want to find a girlfriend before the military training!”

Lin Hua held the beer bottle tightly and said seriously.

Soong Ming and Feng Lee laughed when they heard him. Wang Xiao knew why Lin Hua said this.

“I have nothing to say. Let’s do it!”

Wang Xiao smiled faintly and changed the topic.

After that, the four of them finished a bottle of beer in one go and started to eat.

After drinking some wine, the relationship between the four of them became much closer. They talked about things from all over the world, and the atmosphere was very harmonious.

When they finished eating and drinking, it was already night. After paying, the four of them also supported each other and walked into the dormitory.

Ding Ling…

Just as Wang Xiao and his three companions were on the verge of returning to the school entrance, his phone unexpectedly rang. Retrieving his phone, he noticed that it was Tong Waner calling, prompting a warm smile to cross his face.

It appeared that Tong Waner had also completed her formalities. She had located her dormitory and headed out for a meal with her roommate.

“Waner, what’s the matter? It’s only been half a day, and you’re already missing me?” Wang Xiao inquired, a smile evident in his voice as the call connected.

When Tong Waner answered, Wang Xiao’s end of the line was graced with his infectious smile.

“Hehe, that’s right, Wang Xiao. I’ve been thinking about you for quite a while,” Tong Waner responded playfully.

Unexpectedly, a cold and all-too-familiar chuckle emanated from the other end of the line, directed at Wang Xiao.

“Chen Jie?” Wang Xiao, who had been slightly inebriated, suddenly sobered up. Upon hearing the voice, his countenance darkened as he uttered in a frosty tone, “What have you done to Tong Waner? Why do you have her phone?”

“Do you wish to find out?” Chen Jie responded, his laughter carrying an ominous edge. “Hehe, you’ll discover everything when you arrive at the paper mill in the northern part of Eastern City. You should hurry, or your fiancée might lose her innocence.”

On the opposite end of the call, Chen Jie’s laughter took on an eerie and malevolent quality, his words dripping with icy cruelty.

Wang Xiao’s expression turned grim upon hearing this. He warned Chen Jie, his voice resolute, “Chen Jie, I’m cautioning you. If you lay a finger on Tong Waner, I will ensure the entire Chen Group vanishes from existence!”

“Oh? Is that so? I’m so scared.”

On the opposite end of the call, Chen Jie let out a sinister chuckle, seemingly unfazed by Wang Xiao’s words. Afterward, he terminated the call.

“You’re inviting trouble!” A hurried voice echoed through the phone. Wang Xiao’s gaze turned icy, his demeanor radiating a fierce determination.

“Boss, Second Brother, Fourth Brother, please return to the dormitory for now,” Wang Xiao instructed.

Addressing Soong Ming, Feng Lee, and Lin Hua, Wang Xiao turned and conveyed his message.

“En, alright…”

The trio was already inebriated, making it impossible for them to grasp Wang Xiao’s words. They responded in a befuddled manner and staggered through a nearby door.

Wang Xiao cast a brief glance at them before swiftly making his way to the manufacturing facility in the northern part of Eastern City.

Chen Jie, exercise caution. Your fate may not be the only one hanging in the balance!
