To the Depth of Abyss

Chapter 57: Greedy Young Master

Chapter 57: Greedy Young Master

Ars descends downstairs to the corpse of the Grandfather Tree.

The giant tree monster should be dead. But somehow, Ars could still feel the life energy from inside that giant corpse.

"Hey!"

Someone calls Ars. That person is a Gold Archer from the west.

It was the first time that the two of them met, but somehow, the Gold Archer looking at Ars in awe.

"May I know who you are?" asked the Gold Archer.

The question came as the other western hunters emerged from behind the trees. They all looked at Ars in awe and astonishment.

At that time Ars standing on a higher ground, so everyone could see him.

The west Abyssal Hunter that standing facing Ars is about 20 people, it seemed that many of them are in the emergency tent, injured.

Ars also did not find any person from his party.

"Hey, quick explain who the fk you are and do you have something to do with all this shit!?"

The urgent one at that time is Lucas. The Gold Hunter looks messed up, with lots of scratches and all the dirty equipment.

The other hunters are too. They all looked scared and exhausted, waiting for an explanation regarding the Catastrophe they had fought just now.

Ars took the opportunity to smile arrogantly and revealed the expression of a Mighty One.

"Hello, commoner! My name - " Ars thinks he no need to tell his name. "You can call me Greedy Young Master! Yes, as you can see, I am the cause of this Catastrophe."

Everyone got shocked and still couldn't believe it. That's because Ars this morning wasn't on the 1st Floor. Which means -

"You climb up from the 2nd Floor to reach here?" asked Lucas, doubting Ars.

Ars answered Lucas's question with an arrogant smile.

"Of course, it's thanks to the Messenger you sent to Adam's Root Station. If without them, maybe I wouldn't know if the [Catastrophe Omen] I got this morning hit this Floor."

Ars is the hero who saved them from disaster. However, due to his extremely arrogant attitude, the impression of heroism disappeared on him.

"Well, good job, because all of you, we can minimize the losses we will get. But, since I alone conquered this Catastrophe, I will take all the goods. Besides, they did no damage to any of the facilities we have."

Ars fixated everyone on that statement. They don't believe Ars can easily claim all the hard work they have put in. Especially for Lucas.

"Are you fking kidding me?! You think what kind of effort we put in before you came! You can't just claim all the goods just because you conquered this Catastrophe by yourself! Hey, did you hear me!?"

Ars couldn't hear Lucas' mumbling because of a roar coming from behind.

Lucas and others noticed the source of the roar. The Grandfather Tree, which should have been dead, is preparing [Root Lance] to attack them.

"Shield!" shouted Lucas.

The Tank Vanguard didn't have time to run forward and protect the entire group. The [Root Lance] first shot towards them.

Boom.

The sound of an explosion was just heard, but no attack hurt them.

"[Arts of Red Dragon: Nine Scales, West to South]!"

Ars protects the entire group with his Defend Arts.

"How can you still live?" asked Ars in surprise.

Ars used [Thermal Mode] to look at the tree monster's body and found that there is a tiny spot that had the hottest source of heat moving within that enormous body.

Ars aimed his right hand, which he shaped like a gun, and aimed at the hot spot.

Then - "Bang!" - Ars fires one Sinaga Sword and stabs a Mandrake out of Grandfather Tree.

Ars moved and held the Mandrake.

Ars has never seen this fantasy creature in the form of a small tree that has such hands, feet and face. So he held onto the creature curiously, like a child discovering a new toy.

"Dafuq is dis?"

Before Ars knew what the creature he held could do.

"Nnggaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

The mandrake was already screaming with all his might.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Attacking the western Hunter group and those in the emergency tent.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

Jordan and the refugees could also hear the little monster's scream.

"Omfg."

Ars kneeled in pain while holding his ears. He already stores the mandrake to [Unlimited Inventory]. He regretted that he had forgotten the tree creature that can scream loudly, which appears in the Harry Potter films.

"Ow-ow-ow." Ars tried to stand up while still in pain. " [Mandrake, Taproot of Father Tree]. So that shitty creature is controlling this giant body."

Surprisingly, the Mandrake just now was the living Taproot Father Tree, and became the heart of the Grandfather Tree.

An extremely loud, terrifying sound suddenly attacked them. It sounded like mini Evolved Father Tree's scream.

Lucas couldn't move for a moment. Even some of his men behind fainted from the screams just now.

"The fk was that just now!?"

"That must be Mandrake," answered Shawn.

"Mandrake, on this 1st Floor!?"

"Previously, Greedy Young Master attacked Evolved Father Tree's body. Then, moments after he disappeared, the Mandrake's screams attacked us. Most likely the Mandrake is the heart for the Evolved Father Tree, which is no longer moving."

As Shawn said, at that time, Evolved Father Tree was no longer moving. This strengthened Shawn's speculation.

"That's bullshit."

Lucas got up, then tried to get to the location of the source of the screams. Shawn and a few members came with him from behind.

The source location just now was behind the Evolved Father Tree's body. Which meant the Greedy Young Master was there too.

"It should be like that, but now he's gone, dammit!"

Lucas went on a rampage again.

Unlike Lucas, Shawn couldn't stop feeling amazed at the Greedy Young Master's existence. That face is unfamiliar, but his first appearance was amazing.

"I wonder if he opens registration to become his follower?"

Elisa took her hands off her ears. The Mandrake shouts just now were so shocking, and made her wonder, "Where did the Mandrake come from?"

Supposedly Mandrake can only be found on the 2nd Floor / Thorny Pine Forest. But the voice just now made Elisa aware that the Mandrake brought by 1st Floor's Big Update.

Elisa looked at her sleeping patient. It seems that the deadly scream just now didn't disturb Randi's rest.

Elisa did the best she could. Now just leave it to Randi's determination that will keep him alive.

"How is his condition?" asked someone from behind.

Elisa's breath stopped for a moment at that question. Trying to be strong, she replied.

"He was pushing his body too much. Abyssal radiation has infected his chest, upper back, and hands. He can no longer live normally. Even if he's lucky, he could just possibly live up to 1, year ... "

Elisa could not continue her mouth to speak. Her chest feels so tight, and her throat felt heavy. She pity herself because she couldn't do more to lighten Randi's burden.

"Being infected or not is none of my business," said that someone rudely. As if he didn't care about Randi's condition.

Elisa got angry and immediately saw who it was, and found that it is the hero who saved them.

"He will live until I can get us all out of here."

Randi's body and hands being bandaged, but Ars could still see the emission from the Abyssal Radiation infection coming out of the gaps of the bandage.

Hwang once showed Ars, Hwang's friends who had an infection who lived on the edge of the west station. They all looked in pain, but none of them gave up on their lives. They are still waiting for someone who will free them from Abyssal prison, so that they can be free from the prison and the infection.

"Two years," murmured Ars. "Survive for two years until I conquer this prison."

That statement gave Elisa a shock wave. She never again heard of someone who wanted to free them all from Abyssal's grasp.

Ars took out [Shoots of Golden Wind], then threw the item at Elisa.

"Put it on him. It will ease his pain, and tell him after he awake; I will kill you if you die."

After that, Ars teleported, leaving Elisa in dilemma.

"Sinaga!"

Dwi, Nanda, Riko, and Tito ran to catch someone who had disappeared.

"That bastard, where did he disappear!?"

"No, the question is, how can he teleport like that!?"

"More importantly, I will beat the fk out of him if I find him! He left us and made us fight with that terrible disaster just now!"

Elisa doesn't understand Ars' way of thinking. Maybe no one knows either. But one thing is certain, that Ars is a hero who will save them from the Abyssal God's trap.

"Although that hero's impression isn't visible because of his unfriendly attitude."
