Chapter 466 466: Te Boreas: The Wolf War X
The king raised his hand to the sky, releasing a sonic boom in the process as a barrier covered the entirety of the palace. The remaining guild kings seemed to recognize the barrier as they turned to look at the king with nasty looks on their faces.
"A life and death barrier? Now that barrier will not come down until either you or all of us are dead. You won't use it unless you are absolutely sure you would win, are you sure you want to make that mistake, do you think your aspirant pet… or perhaps it is you who is his pet. Well do you think the both of you are enough, that you can even do much as leave a dent on any one of us." Cole's reply to that was to look at the still impaled corpse of the guild King pinned to the main doors of the palace.
The man speaking cursed at Cole's actions as the Raen turned to the king. "How Strong is this barrier of yours anyways? I take it you set it up to avoid casualties and too much damage." The king nodded his head and then replied to Cole.
"Even of you are beyond the Titanium rank, you won't be getting out of this barrier. It's not a skill but a system construct, a feature that's unique to the system of my people." The extra explanation was not for Cole, he didn't care. Right now all that was important was that he could let loose and fight as hard as he wanted to.
[World Storm]
There was a crack of lightning as thunder clouds began to gather, the wind grew heavy with moisture and cold as the smell of ozone thickened. Sparks could be seen sizzling in the air as Cole summoned Methuselah back into his hand, the impaled corpse dropping to the ground as he sent the spear to inventory and summoned Azazel, putting the weapon into its hand cannon form in his left hand.
By this point the wind had picked up speed as a crash of thunder struck down besides Cole. He grinned and shot forwards.
*Boom!*
He left a sonic boom in his wake as he rushed towards the man who had been speaking, BlackMalakai slashing out in a fury as the man slid to the size them sent his palm into Cole's chest as three rings of golden light superimposed themselves on his palm. Cole was blasted backwards feeling three powerful impacts that turned all his muscles to mush and his bones soon after, it was going after his organs next when [Demonic Constitution] kicked in, drawing a huge amount of energy from Cole to hold his ruined body together.
Cole crashed to the ground, rolling a few times with absolutely no control of his limbs. He had not underestimated his energy, after all he was fighting at his full power. Rather he had underestimated the Titanium rank, each rank was a 100 times more powerful than the previous, and each level reached in a rank was ten times more powerful than the last. It took a special kind of person to be able to jump ranks and defeat powerful enemies .
But the bottom line of it all was that Cole was still a diamond ranked individual. And even if his enemies weren't perfect titanium ranked individuals, they at least had the rest of their stats in the diamond rank or even the gold rank and at a much higher level than his....it was a miracle Cole was still alive.
"Let me step into the driver's seat for a moment master." Cole heard Lyren's voice from the armor, he agreed focusing on healing himself as the armor got back up to it's feet or rather Lyren did, moving his own body, which in this case was the armor scaled to Cole's form.
Lyren rushed at the man once again as the king engaged the remaining three. The man swung his hand, releasing those same circles in the form of projectiles that Cole or rather Lyren slide under, blasting off his heels with an explosion of Chaos that closed the remaining distance between him and the Guild King.
The man pulled out a long sword that he slashed out with an almost last manner at Lyren. But the wolf cub was intent on playing around with his opponent as he moved to the side and ran on the floor on all fours, moving so quickly he had flanked the man and moved to the side. His opponent turned unable to react quickly as Lyren reached the other side and pointed the hand cannon point blank at the man's knee.
*Bam!*
A highly infused basic shot, filled with chaos from Lyren, who in turn was a piece of the soul of an eldritch chaos entity. It did not have as much power, but it had enough to completely shatter the man's knee, causing him to cry out as Lyren got up to his feet and turned with a flourish, BlackMalakai held in his hands as he slashed upwards, removing the back of the man's skull and much of his neck too in an extremely gory sight.
The man took a couple of steps forward then crashed forwards, falling, dead before he hit the ground. And then there were three, of course Cole who had only just been a passenger in his own body was shocked at the efficiency and ease of movement from Lyren. It was looking at a whole new Martial arts, bestial in it's inception, and furious in it's strikes.
"If you think too much your head will explode master, just fight like you should fight." Lyren said to Cole as he regained feeling in his fingers.
"Oh and how am I supposed to fight?" Cole asked with an amused grin on his lips.
"Like a Raen…aren't you some demon type vampire elf human hybrid alien thing. Just put all those things together, instinct, like a Raen. It's in there, I've seen you use it too, but you've got to embrace it, become it, howl."
It was like a bomb had went off in Cole's head as he regained full control of his body and blasted forwards, using [Spectral Rover] to cross the distance between himself and the three still Fighting the king.
He shoulder tackled the woman with the knives, sending her smashing into her partners. Lightning flashed down from the sky, hitting one of the two remaining men, one of which was decked out in a power armor, looks like the Craftsman guild have been holding out on him.
Two spinning wheels of blades awash with a purple glow and brimming with power came for Cole. He slashed out with [Black Cut] blasting one of the wheel apart which exploded into hundreds of smaller knives, forming a cloud of death that renewed its pursuit of Cole.
[Shadow Dance]
Moved Cole out of the woman's own shadow, shocking her as she sent a grinding saw of knives at Cole's chest. He was at point blank range with no way for him to get out on time, so he gritted his teeth and took the buzzing saw into the chest whilst firing back into the woman's chest, infusing a significant amount of negative energy into the shot.
[Obsidian Fire Shot]
A hole was burnt into her chest as she gasped and took a couple of steps backwards. She took a deep breath that came out as a strange wheezing sound to steady herself. Every blade in her control fell to the ground, some of them vanished showing they were illusions. Cole noticed that she was healing albeit much slower than he would have thought.
The hand Cannon shifted into the revolver form as Cole rolled it and then pulled the hammer back, her mouth open wide.
"You're not supposed to be able to use such technology on this floor, you have been using a gun? How?..... heretic! Miles he's a her-"
*Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!*
Her body crashed to the ground with a very ruined face. She did have a point though, he was not supposed to be able to use technology or hot weapons of any sort. It was a little worrying of how he was able to do this, but for now it was not at the top of his pile of priorities.
From then on it wasn't too long before the king dispatched one of his adversaries leaving one last person, the man in the power armor. The king pointed his sword at him while Cole stalked the sides, looking like an avenging angel of death.
"I surrender! I surrender!"
Cole raised an eyebrow at that, the man in the power armor gave off a much different vibe than everyone else here, he was so much stronger than the others and he even had the power armor yet he was surrendering.
Cole watched as the king went up to pat the man on the shoulder as he turned to Cole and said. "Dorian is one of the heads of the Craftsman guild, he's the strongest person in this city, even without his power armor. But he's a pacifist and he usually only acts to ensure that there's not much bloodshed or to put an end to it.
My family and I were able to live long enough for you to come rescue us because of him. He's a good man, and a friend not an enemy." Cole snorted, they were just at each other's throat a few moments ago, obviously there was more politicking at play, but Cole was done.
"Then it's over then?" Cole asked as the king looked around, the state of his palace aside, there was barely any loss on his side, so he smiled and nodded his head as he said.
"Yeah…. It's over."
