Chapter 471: Chapter 471: You Two Women, Have No Shame

“Can’t you just tell me where you are going for the next month?” Luo Ziling said a bit unhappily while eating with Lin Lan in her room. “Your injuries still haven’t healed. At least for now, your body’s coordination hasn’t fully recovered. There are so many people in your team, why do they have to send someone who was seriously injured not long ago on a mission?”

“It’s none of your business. You’re not one of us,” Lin Lan replied without a good temper.

However, Luo Ziling’s words from earlier had warmed her heart.

“Didn’t you ask me to be your off-the-books doctor? Even though it’s unofficial, I’m still part of Dragon Rise, so we should be considered comrades, right? Since we’re comrades, we ought to care for each other. I’m going to find the senior and protest,” Luo Ziling grumbled while eating, “I’ve never seen a place as inhumane as yours.”

“You’re not allowed to go,” Lin Lan put down her chopsticks and said very seriously to Luo Ziling, “You are not to talk about my matter with the chief or anyone else at any time. I always have to obey orders.”

“Why can’t I talk about your affairs to anyone?” Luo Ziling asked, puzzled.

Lin Lan’s face twisted slightly, but ultimately she insisted dominantly again, “You’re not allowed to talk about it for no reason.”

“You’re completely unreasonable,” Luo Ziling muttered, then continued to eat.

Lin Lan didn’t say much, but her complexion had improved a lot by the time she finished eating.

After lunch and clearing away the dishes, Lin Lan instructed Luo Ziling to go with her to see Phoenix.

“Do we really have to go?” Luo Ziling asked, puzzled.

“We must go!”

Seeing the determination on Lin Lan’s face, Luo Ziling thought about it and ultimately didn’t refuse, following her out of the small building toward the training ground.

On the way to the training ground, Luo Ziling unexpectedly ran into Falcon.

Falcon was jogging, dressed in a vest and shorts, looking very healthy.

Surprised by Falcon’s appearance, Luo Ziling quickly went up to greet him, “Have your injuries healed?”

“Almost, I’ve started rehabilitation training,” Falcon stopped running, came over with a smile, and greeted Luo Ziling, “I really owe you one.”

“Don’t mention it,” Luo Ziling shook hands with Falcon, and said with a smile, “If you want to thank me, just treat me to a drink someday.”

Luo Ziling’s words took both Lin Lan and Falcon by surprise.

“Sure!” Falcon immediately agreed, “The next time you come over, and if I can drink by then, I’ll drink a good one with you.”

Glancing at Lin Lan, he chuckled and said, “Let’s invite Kong Que along to celebrate my recovery; how about that?”

Lin Lan didn’t respond but looked at Falcon with a cold eye, “None of your business here, go mind your own business!”

Falcon didn’t take it to heart and flashed a sleazy smile at Luo Ziling before continuing his run.

“Why are you acting like this towards your own comrades, your brothers in arms?” Luo Ziling said dissatisfiedly to Lin Lan, “Look at Falcon’s attitude, so friendly that he comes over to say hello. Not like you, always with that poker face, looking like everyone owes you millions. I’ve told you, you should smile more; you look pretty when you smile and it’s good for your health too.”

The earlier part of Luo Ziling’s reproof made Lin Lan a bit annoyed, but upon hearing him say she looked pretty when she smiled, her anger slowly faded away, and in the end, she just glared at him and kept walking forward.

When Luo Ziling arrived at the training ground, he saw “Phoenix” still dressed as she had been the past few days, standing there waiting.

Before Luo Ziling even reached the small clearing in the woods by the edge of the training ground, he could already feel a murderous aura and knew Phoenix was there. That woman’s presence was indeed impressive.

Seeing her, Luo Ziling could sense the faint coldness emanating from her, but he didn’t care at all and just said grumpily, “The same outfit again.”

After speaking, he plonked himself down on a rock, “Ladies, let’s rest for a bit. Just had lunch, it’s not good to exercise intensely. This is the way to live a long life, you should learn a thing or two. Otherwise, you won’t live to a hundred.”

Hearing Luo Ziling’s words, Phoenix and Lin Lan exchanged a look, both seeing helplessness in the other’s eyes.

This guy, when did he become so slick? This was the thought running through both Lin Lan and Phoenix’s minds.

“We don’t have that much free time. We still need to take you back,” Lin Lan walked up to Luo Ziling and explained patiently, “So, let’s just get on with some practice as soon as possible.”

“Give it another half hour,” Luo Ziling took out his phone to check the time, then held up three fingers, “In thirty minutes, whatever I just ate should be about done moving down to my small intestine. We can start then.”

At that moment, Phoenix said, “On the battlefield, no one will wait until your food has settled before they attack you.”

The woman was quite fiery, and right after her remark, she immediately made a move.

Luo Ziling had to leap three feet high off the rock, dodging Phoenix’s probing attack.

“What’s with these sudden attacks,” Luo Ziling pointed at Phoenix with a half-laugh, half-complaint, “As the squadron leader, how can you have no manners at all.”

“Less nonsense, let’s fight,” Phoenix said, and once again launched an attack, this time much faster than her previous move.

The initial move was just a probe, a sort of greeting to prepare Luo Ziling; now the real assault began.

Luo Ziling knew it was no use saying anything, the woman wouldn’t stop, and a little furious, he immediately launched a counterattack. When Phoenix swung her leg for a spinning kick, he didn’t dodge but met it with a kick of his own.

A dull thud sounded as their legs collided solidly.

Luo Ziling knew his strength was greater than Phoenix’s, so rather than dodging and then looking for a chance to counterattack as he had before, he chose to meet her head-on. Phoenix was slightly surprised, but with no time to change her move, she had no choice but to face the collision head-on.

Even though she initiated the attack and was very fast, she still felt immense pain.

And Luo Ziling, feeling even more pain than her, didn’t back down. Instead, he immediately followed with a heavy punch. Phoenix hurriedly dodged, but with Luo Ziling already gaining the upper hand, he wouldn’t miss this chance and continued his offensive, throwing several spinning kicks in succession and not giving Phoenix any opportunity to counterattack.

However, Luo Ziling soon sensed danger, and as he got a bad feeling, Lin Lan, who had been standing aside, also launched her attack. Luo Ziling was forced to abandon his assault and quickly stepped back to avoid Lin Lan’s ferocious leg sweep.

And then Phoenix seized the opportunity to counterattack.

Lin Lan’s assault caught him off guard, and Phoenix’s counterstrike was fierce. Unprepared for such a turn of events, Luo Ziling could only retreat quickly.

But the two women didn’t stop there; they continued their onslaught, making even fiercer and more ruthless moves.

Luo Ziling couldn’t take it anymore. After quickly backing away again, he suddenly leaped onto a nearby tree, climbed up the branches like a monkey, and shouted down at the two women, “No more fighting, no more fighting! You’re ganging up on me, not playing fair anymore! Two against one, shameless!”

His shout left Phoenix and Lin Lan dumbfounded.
