The Young Urban Doctor

Chapter 46 - In Your Dreams!

Ouyang Huihui, too, rushed over and clambered into the front passenger seat of the car.

Following closely behind Ouyang Huihui was that stone-cold beauty who had climbed into the Mercedes in front.

The cars started speeding and heading deeper into the residential area.

“Thanks for saving me!”

Luo Ziling thanked Ouyang Feifei sincerely.

If it weren’t for her, he would not have had the chance to escape.

Even though he was well-trained in martial arts, chances of him facing and surviving so many gun-wielding attackers was pretty much nil.

That bastard must’ve had someone backing him up for him to have the balls to pull out a gun. Maybe that man in black had a gun with him too.

If he had been facing a lone gunner, he might have been able to dodge the bullets. But that most probably wasn’t the case. And with so many bullets flying around, only a madman can say that he could avoid getting hit.

Thank God for Ouyang Feifei coming to his rescue. If not, it was highly likely that he would’ve dropped dead right there.

“No problem.” Ouyang Feifei was still able to maintain her cool composure as she turned to check on Luo Ziling and his mental state.

Sitting on the front passenger seat was Ouyang Huihui who remained silent.

Their car finally stopped in front of the Ouyang family’s villa. The driver then hopped out of the car to open the door for Ouyang Feifei.

However, Ouyang Feifei did not step out of the car. Instead, she gestured to the man to shut the car door.

Ouyang Huihui was about to make her escape when she was called out by Ouyang Feifei.

“Where’s your bodyguard?” asked Ouyang Feifei coldly.

“I chased him off,” Ouyang Huihui whispered. “This…he’s pretty good, right? So what is there for me to be afraid of?”

Her voice grew louder as she neared the end of her sentence, reflecting her inflating confidence.

“What happened?” asked Ouyang Feifei with an unchanging expression.

“He was bullying me when Li Dongjun saw us and a fight broke out between them,” explained Ouyang Huihui. Pushing the door open, she turned back. “Sis, you two have a good chat. I don’t want to bother you guys any further. I’m soaked in sweat after today’s activity. I’ve gotta change out of my clothes and take a shower, so excuse me.”

Ignoring Ouyang Feifei’s calls for her to stop, she dashed into the distance.

“Do you need any information from me?” Luo Ziling asked Ouyang Feifei in an unfriendly tone. He didn’t enjoy looking at this girl forcibly trying to keep up her “cool” act. What he saw was nothing more than a small fry trying to act like a big shot that owned the whole damn city. Would she die from talking or something?

“If you’re willing to.” Ouyang Feifei’s expression softened up as she peered back at Luo Ziling.

Since Luo Ziling didn’t have anything else to do for the rest of the day, he started explaining what had happened before he got there.

That included how Ouyang Huihui had rushed to the military exercise field to look for him, how they started an altercation before getting into the car, how she deliberately made a fool out of him, and how he, in the heat of the moment, accidentally made contact with her body. After that came the part where she purposefully drove recklessly in order to trigger motion-sickness in him. Finally, he explained what happened when Li Dongjun made his appearance. Without delay, she ordered her bodyguard to beat the man up and the situation spiralled out of control.

After that whole ordeal was over, he asked Ouyang Fefei, “Who on earth was that guy?”

“He’s a businessman who has ties with our family.”

Ouyang Feifei’s reply pissed off Luo Ziling even more.

Could she be any more vague? Would elaborating on slightly more details for the sake of better understanding rot her brains out?

Ouyang Feifei noticed the anger concealed behind Luo Ziling’s gaze but she chose to ignore it. “This matter was a result of Huihui’s recklessness. From now on, our family will be taking responsibility so you should refrain from poking your nose into this matter any further.

“Why shouldn’t I?!” Luo Ziling’s anger finally boiled over. With a furious look, he glared at Ouyang Feifei’s indifferent face. “I was ganged up on by so many guys out of the blue and they almost blew my goddamn brains out! I almost died for God’s sake! What do you mean by ‘you shouldn’t poke your nose into this’? How can I possibly not be concerned about this?!”

The corner of Ouyang Feifei’s mouth curled up slightly. She then exhaled her words along with a sigh. “What do you want?”

Her response stunned Luo Ziling. He was at a loss for words.

His heart felt like it was about to split open from rage. He had just been tagging along Ouyang Huihui to get some lunch together and had almost lost his life in the process.

That b*tch. No matter how he looked at it, someone throwing fists at him the moment they bumped into each other was almost impossible to justify, let alone calling upon so many gun-wielding goons to beat him up.

Although he had managed to escape with his life and beaten up Li Dongjun quite badly, he still couldn’t stomach what had just happened.

Not once in his lifetime had anyone humiliated him so badly. This was his first.

Resentment grew, even with Ouyang Feifei sitting beside him. If not for that girl, he wouldn’t have gotten into this situation in the first place.

He gritted his teeth at the thought of that darned Ouyang Huihui.

What had he done, besides fondling her chest twice? Maybe thrice.

And she still had her clothes on too. It shouldn’t have been a big deal. If it was, he was more than happy to let her fondle him back over and over again if that was what it took to appease her.

After getting lost in his thoughts for quite a while, Luo Ziling shot back angrily with another question.

“So, how are you planning to take care of this?”

“Soon, Lin Dongjun’s father will come here personally. You can decide if you want to apologize to him, or choke up some compensation. Either way, I will assist you in the process.” Ouyang Feifei returned to her expressionless look. “Or perhaps, you would like to take his life?”

Luo Ziling was utterly defeated by this woman. He truly was unsure about what to say after hearing her say the last sentence.

Seeing her cool demeanor, he was clueless as to how to respond to her.

He searched through his mind for a moment before asking another question.

“Why’d you say that I am your fiance just now?”

“So Li Dongjun and his father would come here personally to issue an apology.”

“And?”

Luo Ziling was dissatisfied with Ouyang Feifei’s answer.

“You already are,” replied Ouyang Feifei. She stared back at Luo Ziling. “From now on, this lie will spread around and many will believe in it. I think it’ll save the both of us much hassle if it becomes the truth.”

“I’ve already sent the request to withdraw from marriage to your grandfather.”

“This won’t do. Treat it as a repayment for saving you.” Ouyang Feifei’s mouth curled up into a sinister smile. “Or perhaps you aren’t willing to help me after all that I’ve done?”

“Why in hell would I want to help you?” Luo Ziling shook his head. “Also, I don’t quite understand what you mean.”

If this girl could just stop putting up that mask of indifference, she would undoubtedly be quite the looker.

His brain just could not comprehend why she was so obsessed with acting like a robot. Could it be that her face had turned solid after a botched plastic surgery?

He decided to steal a few glances at Ouyang Feifei’s eyes.

‘What a stunning face. Who said that she was a robot?’

“There are lots of men around me and I am troubled by that fact.” Ouyang Feifei then casually tossed out, “And this Li Dongjun is one of them.”

“Oh. I get it now. You want me to be your shield?”

Realization had finally set in for Luo ZIling.

Ouyang Feifei made no attempts to deny it. Silently, she looked back at him.

“What right do you have to use me as your shield? Just because you saved my ass just now? You need to remember that if it weren’t for your bratty sister, this whole thing wouldn’t have happened in the first place.” Luo Ziling’s face grew even more bashful from being stared at by Ouyang Feifei.

Ouyang Feifei, on the other hand, flashed a smile back at him. “Of course. You can tell everyone that you came here to rescind your promise to marry me.”

“In your dreams!” spat Luo Ziling back at Ouyang Feifei and her pretty round eyes.

“…”

Ouyang Feifei was taken aback for a moment. She didn’t understand what Luo Ziling meant by that.
