Chapter 152 - The Doctor
Mo Han grabbed onto his suit jacket, looking at An Luxia one last time before he grabbed his phone and began marching out of the room, "I'm going to go back to Country A."
Then, he left the room, not even stopping when he saw K outside the room as he immediately ordered, "Get the helicopters ready again. We are going back to Country A."
K looked at Mo Han confusedly, and he was going to ask what for, but seeing how rushed Mo Han was, he did not say anything and instead immediately fulfilled his orders.
---
Half an hour later, the helicopters were zooming past the sky again to Country A, where they had just left a few hours ago.
Mo Han tapped his feet against the ground on the plane, remembering how he had ordered his men to burn the place after leaving.
He tightly pressed his lips together, regretting the decision. What if the real cure was still inside the building?! If it was burned, then he would be screwed! Furthermore, he did not even know where the cure was.
.If it really was the Trap, then An Luxia had 12 hours. Flying there took two hours already since they were flying fast, and flying back would take another two hours. He did not have much time.
He continued to rush the pilot throughout the entire ride, checking his phone once in a while to see if he would receive a call even though they were flying through the sky. The pilot was stressed as well as he tried to fly faster but in the night sky, it was difficult to see.
After a little over two hours, they finally arrived at Country A and the helicopter landed in the plane of grass on the edge of the forest once again.
Mo Han immediately jumped off, followed by his men as they rushed into the forest with their flashlights turned on. The forest was extremely creepy in the nighttime, as it was difficult to see through the endless trees and sounds of nighttime animals could occasionally be heard.
They finally stopped in front of the burnt building, which was burnt a dark shade of brown from the outside. However, because the fire was controlled, it did not collapse or affect the dead bodies surrounding it.
Mo Han immediately rushed towards it, kicking the door open, which fell down with a bang. A bunch of dust and smoke came from inside, and Mo Han scrunched his face up as he turned away, brushing his hand in front of his face.
After a while, the dust had finally dissipated and he stepped in, seeing that the interior of the building had also been completely burnt. His heart sank as he was not sure if the cure would have survived all of this fire.
Unless it was hidden very well, it was very unlikely.
Mo Han slowly stepped into the building, climbing down the stairs, holding carefully to the wall in case the stairs collapsed. They finally reached the bottom floor and Mo Han looked around, finding his way to Mo Syan's office through all of this rubbish.
When he finally found it as the place had been completely destroyed, he saw that everything inside had become a collection of dust and particles on the ground. The only thing that was visible was the large cabinets that were still in tack, but also barely holding up.
He slammed his fist against the side of the wall, causing more dust to fall off again, and he immediately marched out of the room, where his other men were waiting.
Just as they were about to leave and go up to the first floor again, they all heard a loud noise. It almost seemed like something was walking through the rubbish. Then suddenly, a figure came tumbling out from one of the hallways.
He had ash on his face, making it hard to recognize the person, and the only thing that revealed his identity was the white doctor's robe he was wearing.
The man froze when he saw that he was not alone in this building, and he dropped the sack he was holding onto as he made his way through this rubbish. At once, Mo Han lunged towards him and before he could even turn around and run, Mo Han had grabbed onto him.
"Who are you?! What are you doing here?!" Mo Han asked right away, gripping onto the man tightly so he could not escape or move at all.
The man almost looked like he was going to cry as he confessed, "I. . . I am - the doctor! The doctor! Please let me go! I am innocent! I just want to get out of here!"
Mo Han narrowed his eyes. The doctor? No one that worked under the Si Organization could possibly be innocent, "The doctor of the Si Organization? For Mo Siyan?"
Seeing Mo Han's expression, thoughts flew past the man's head as he immediately shook his head, "No, No - Ah!"
Mo Han grabbed onto the doctor's neck, holding it tightly, "Tell me the truth!"
The doctor burst into tears as his legs gave in. If it weren't for the fact that Mo Han was holding onto him, he would have probably knelt down onto the ground by now, "Okay, okay! Sir, I am! Yes, I am the scientist and researcher for the Si Organization. But - but I really didn't do anything! I was just following orders so I won't die!"
Mo Han's eyes lit up when he heard that this man was the doctor and researcher here. Perhaps. . . Just maybe, he would know about the cure, "Well if you don't follow my orders and tell the truth to me now, then you will certainly die."
The man clasped his hands together, pleading, "Yes, sir! Please let me live! I will tell you anything!"
Mo Han loosened his hand slightly, not wanting to lose this final piece of evidence, "Do you know about the Trap?"
The doctor looked at him, his eyes quivering as he gulped, remembering Mo Siyan's orders of never saying a word about it, "I - No. . . No. . ."
However, Mo Han could easily spot a lie, especially since the man was practically shaking. His grip tightened as he dug his fingers into the man's neck, "I want the truth! Lie to me one more time and I will snap your neck in a second!"
The man began coughing as he shook his head, unable to speak.
Mo Han loosened his hand slightly, saying, "Your master, Mo Siyan, is dead already. So there is no point in trying to keep secrets for him anymore."
The man looked up at Mo Han, wondering who this person was and if Mo Siyan was actually dead, "He. . . I -"
"What do you know about the Trap?!" Mo Han raised his voice.
"I. . . I invented it," the doctor finally revealed, looking down at the remnants of the building on the ground.
Mo Han's eyes widened as he loosened his hand a little more, "You invented it? Then what do you know about the cure?! Do you have the cure?!"
The man cleared his throat, finally able to breathe a little, "The cure. . . I don't know about the cure."
Mo Han narrowed his eyes, eyeing the man suspiciously as he tightened his grip again, pushing the man onto the ground so he collapsed, unable to move, "Didn't I warn you? It seems like you have a death wish -"
"I do! I do!" The doctor immediately changed his words, "Yes, I know about the cure. I was the main scientist and doctor in creating the Trap, so. . ."
"Stop wasting time!" Mo Han screamed, getting impatient, "Was the cure in Mo Siyan's office?"
The doctor looked up in surprise, "How do you know?!"
He had actually been looking for the cure, which was why he took such a long time before finally leaving this rubbish. He was packing his stuff and all of his equipment that he saved from being burnt.
In the burning, he had somehow managed to survive. After all, he was known as a crazy scientist and he had his ways to survive the brief fire. He had thought he would die, but the fire was extinguished a while later, just before he was going to die.
He remembered that Mo Siyan had put the cure in his office, but when he was looking for it to take it back as a "souvenir", he could not find it. He had thought it had been burned.
Mo Han frowned, "So it was indeed the cure. . . Is it a pill?"
The doctor nodded.
"Then why didn't it work?!" Mo Han screamed, pulling the doctor up closer to his face, "She ate the pill! Why didn't it work?! Why did she faint? Does it have anything to do with the Trap?"
The doctor finally seemed to have a guess on who this man was. Was this man Mo Han? So he was here because of the An Luxia girl, the one who was the first to test out his amazing invention, the Trap.
A small grin appeared on the doctor's face, but the next second, he felt the choking feeling again and he immediately stopped smiling.
"Oh, yes, yes. It must be the trap doing it's magic -"
"Tell me why now!"
The doctor looked up at Mo Han, trying to suppress a smile, "Well, the full cure actually takes two pills."
