The Way of The Dao

Chapter 60 She Is Poisoned

Ze Long was getting down on his knees still with the pain in his chest as he was screaming at Ze Shan to end it all quickly, without realizing the situation.

Ze Shan and the other guy could not respond, they were resisting as much as they could not fall under the pressure emitted by Ling Tian.

Ling Tian turned to Ze Long with contempt. This type of scum has seen thousands of times and they always ended up very badly.

Since he didn't want to waste any more time on this, he withdrew his pressure and let the two men go. Besides, people were starting to conglomerate around there.

Ling Tian gave Ze Shan an indifferent look, causing the latter to tremble at the sight of the young man's expressionless face, feeling as if death were still behind him.

Ling Tian turned to Ze Long and then back to Ze Shan, hinting at something. Ze Shan didn't hesitate and took Ze Long out quickly. Ze Lang and his two bodyguards left quickly still shaking and sweating their bodies in fear.

Ling Tian would try to avoid killing that brat to avoid future trouble. It wasn't that he was a coward and was afraid of those great families. It was just that he wanted to continue living in peace as long as he could, until he left this world. But if someone really pissed him off, he would kill him without hesitation... he wouldn't mind eliminating one of the great families of the star city if they sought revenge and bothered him again...

'I seem to have become very soft...' Ling Tian sighed as he watched those three guys leave. It seems that having been at the top for several years and no one having offended him, made him turn into a tofu.

If he was the one before, he wouldn't care and he would kill these guys without hesitation... now he didn't do it since he was on a request to help his friend Tang Jingtian's mother, so he didn't want to generate fears and doubts in these two women, which could make them regret asking him for help and leaving without him.

Plot!

Tang Nan's body fell, kneeling on one leg as she tried to catch her breath.

"Aunt Nan!" Tang Wanying came out of her shock and screamed as she saw Tang Nan fall.

Quickly, she went to help Tang Nan up, while asking if she was hurt or something else.

Tang Wanying didn't know what had happened. She was immersed in the feeling she had felt when touched by Ling Tian, so she had not felt or witnessed what had happened in the flash of the fight.

Despite her Heavenly rank, she was barely strong enough to defend herself, so Ling Tian protected her with his aura so that nothing would happen to her.

"Are you really all right, Aunt Nan?" Tang Wanying asked with concern in her eyes.

Tang Nan nodded and told Tang Wanying that she was all right, just short of breath, while she secretly looked at Ling Tian with some terror and shock.

Tang Wanying was perplexed about what had happened. How did Ze Long suddenly leave? What happened that she did not notice?

Ling Tian noticed her look and said to Tang Wanying, "Wow, Lady Tang, your aunt is amazing... I thought I was going to be beaten by that man and she protected us with her power". He nodded indifferently to Tang Nan, so he could avoid explaining what really happened to Tang Wanying.

Tang Nan didn't have much courage to see Ling Tian.

After she caught her breath, they went back on their way.

On the way, Tang Wanying's beautiful eyes secretly looked at Ling Tian every so often. No one knew what she was thinking. Ling Tian shook his head ironically.

Tang Nan did not dare look at Ling Tian, as if it were a sin, a crime to do such a thing. She still seemed to be in shock.

The three people did not speak on the way as they headed for the Tang residence.

Tang family.

Tang Wanying's mother's room, Tang Zhi

"Mom!"

Tang Wanying ran worriedly to the side of the bed where her mother, Tang Zhi, was.

Tang Zhi had a pale face and has been bedridden for over a year. She doesn't even have the strength to walk, she can barely move her arms for a few seconds before falling down exhausted. Tang Zhi sleeps almost the whole day, it seemed as if she were a person in her old age who is slowly dying, like a lamp with little oil that is slowly being consumed, until all her energy is used up.

"My little Wanying" a somewhat weak voice came from Tang Zhi's mouth, while she tried to show a smile to her daughter.

Tang Wanying gently embraced her mother, fearful that she might hurt her with her strength.

"Madam." Tang Nan bowed respectfully as she greeted Tang Zhi.

A middle-aged man stood beside the other bed, administering medication to Tang Zhi while he checked the condition of her body by taking her pulse.

"Master Hon, how is my mother's health?" Tang Wanying asked the middle aged man who was checking the condition of her mother.

Master Hon gently released Tang Zhi's wrist while releasing a sigh and said with sorrow: "I am sorry, young miss... but Mrs. Tang's illness is very advanced and cannot be cured, at most we could only try to slow down the progress and ease her pains... at most, she only has a few days to live..."

Tang Wanying cried when she heard her mother's condition while hugging her lovingly. Her mother had only a short time left to live.

Even Tang Nan could not shed a tear from her eyes when sadness came over her too.

Tang Zhi smiled warmly at her daughter as she said weakly, "My little girl, don't be sad, mother wouldn't like to see you cry. Even if I die, I will go to heaven and I will be watching you from there. I would like to see you grow up even more. See when you get married, when you have children and a family... forgive mommy for not being able to accompany you even more..."

Tang Wanying couldn't help but hug her mother a little harder, she didn't want her to left.

Trying to calm her crying, she stood up and showed her a smile while she said, "Mother, I have found another great master alchemist who may be able to cure you," her trembling voice betrayed her, but Tang Wanying still had a little hope in her heart.

Tang Wanying tried to wipe the lines of tears from her delicate face and said, "Mom, this is the master I'm talking about..." She turned to look for Ling Tian to introduce him and have him verify her mother's illness, but he was not behind her.

Tang Wanying looked around the room and found that Ling Tian was looking at some pictures of her family.

Tang Zhi could not help but look at this great alchemist master that her daughter told her. Although there were many Masters who came to see her illness, none could cure her. She was surprised to see her daughter call a young man a great master alchemist.

"Great Master..." Tang Wanying couldn't help but call him, trying to hide the impatience in her voice.

Ling Tian did not turn away from Tang Wanying's call.

Everyone in the room could see his back, while the young man continued to focus on the pictures on the wall. Then he took one of the pictures in his hands that was on the small table near the wall.

No one spoke, but everyone could feel a deep emotion filling the air, a sad and nostalgic feeling coming from this young man. This feeling was clear and strong, as if it were magic, and it filtered into the hearts of everyone present...

During the long silence, a slight depressing emotion was generated from the depths of their hearts. It became heavier and heavier, until the feeling carried them like heavy iron weights to the point where it was becoming difficult to breathe.

Intense pain, too difficult to endure...

Tang Wanying placed her hand unconsciously on her own chest because of the deep feeling of pain inside. A tear came out of her eyes without her noticing...

This was a thick sadness that had a strong sense of missing something. It was full of memories, regrets and pain. There were no sounds, no words, no expressions, no movements... It was like an emotion taking physical form. They could even clearly feel the complex feelings inside, making them feel repressed or even constrained. Everyone wondered how deep an emotion it was to release this kind of aura...

His back conveyed a loneliness and sadness...

They couldn't think of anything else because of the aura released by one person.

What kind of man was this...

What kind of experiences did he have to have these kinds of deep emotions...

How could he release this kind of emotion while being silent...

Dozens of seconds passed, feeling this feeling when Ling Tian's flat voice sounded and pulled them out of their trance.

"She is not sick... she is poisoned..."
