The Way of The Dao

Chapter 56 Great Master Alchemist?

"Father!" Rong Wuyun shouted for joy as he saw his father open his eyes.

"Y-Yuner" Old Dai spoke in a somewhat weak voice as he tried to sit up properly.

Ling Tian quickly removed the silver needles he had placed.

" Th-Thank you, young man." Elder Dai tried to bow down in thanks to Ling Tian. Although he was getting worse a few moments ago, he could still hear around him. He knew that this young man had saved him, so he wanted to thank him deeply. At first he had become resigned, but then a sense of comfort spread through his body, allowing his pain to go away, so he clung to the hope of living again.

"It is not necessary. I only did it because I couldn't afford to let someone die in front of me." Ling Tian tried to keep the old man from bowing. Although he might be indifferent to everyone else, he still respected those who respected him or showed him a smile instead of evil. He saw that the gratitude was sincere, so he acted politely as well.

"Besides, you should thank your son..." Ling Tian told him that the grace is partly in Rong Wuyun, for if he did not allow Ling Tian to cure his father, old Dai would surely die. Besides, Rong Wuyun did not hesitate to commit himself to pay for the spiritual elixir that Ling Tian made.

The old Dai nodded in recognition while he embraced his son, his granddaughter also embraced him.

"But still, you have my thanks, young man. Whatever you want, my Rong family will do their best to give it to you. For you to be a Grandmaster at your age, you must have an exceptional future." The old man's voice grew louder, showing that he was truly recovering, "Xiu'er, thank the young man too, we must not be rude and ungrateful to those who have helped us."

"Th-Thank you big brother." Rong Xiu bowed to Ling Tian, trying to show her lethal mountains completely while she winked at him and tried to cast a seductive spell.

Ling Tian nodded softly without even flinching.

Rong Wuyun bowed to Ling Tian as he said, "Master, I will really do whatever you ask of me, I will not go back on my words. If the money is not enough for you, I will be your servant until the debt is paid," he changed his address and began to call Ling Tian a Master respectfully. He knew that this young man should be someone important, or at least, he would be in the future, so he would avoid offending him and have good relations with this great master.

Ling Tian looked on indifferently. He made no attempt to raise Rong Wuyun.

'Actually a tiger father begets a tiger son...' He thought internally when he saw Rong Wuyun's similar behavior with his father.

Rong Wuyun did not decline his promise once his father was cured, which proves that he is a man of his word. Unknowingly, he earned Ling Tian's recognition by demonstrating his filial piety and keeping his word.

Ling Tian smiled when he said: "All you have to do is pay for the medicinal plants I used... I made the elixir, so you only have to pay the association for the plants that were used in the medicine... I might need your help one day."

Ling Tian turned to see Master Gi. A slight mocking smile appeared on his face: "Remember what I told you, we are all like a frog in the pit. There will always be people who are more knowledgeable than you, so you should give up your arrogance... maybe this way, you can improve your knowledge and mastery of alchemy..."

Master Gi was red with shame. His stiff face showed that he couldn't stand this. He wanted to find a hole and hide in it. This shame of his life he had never experienced before.

Ling Tian turned around while he started walking to the exit.

When he had taken a few steps, Ling Tian stopped briefly: "I forgot to tell you. The wound on your body has already healed, so you will be able to recover in a few months. Chao" raised his hand briefly in a farewell gesture with his back to them.

The old Dai was surprised to hear this. A smile appeared on his face as he shouted to Ling Tian, "Benefactor, may I know your name?" Even his tone became more respectful.

Ling Tian walked quickly to the exit, so he no longer answered the question. They thought he hadn't heard it.

Everyone in the place was stunned. No one could believe that this event was taking place in such a way.

Who was he?

How could a young man be a Great Master Alchemist?

Only the Great Master Alchemists could make spiritual elixirs!

What family does he come from?

Has he been raised by one of the great families?

He even easily surpassed the Great and Best Master Alchemist of the Star City!

This is a real genius!

Each person made their own guesses about the young man they had previously disregarded. Now there was only admiration and amazement. Even the women in attendance fell in love with Ling Tian's performance and hoped that he would return to the alchemy association again.

"Yun'er, let's go back" the old Dai told his son to go back. Rong Wuyun still couldn't believe that he would only have to pay for the plants used. They were practically given a spiritual elixir!

The older woman and the young woman who appeared to be a holy maiden, did not leave their sight of Ling Tian when he left. Even the contempt they had felt for him, too, had disappeared without a trace. There was only wonder and hope in their eyes. Quickly they both left as well. It seems that the matter with Master Gi had been forgotten.

Ling Tian had left the building quickly. Although he had helped, that didn't mean he would like to be involved in various things. The so-called gratitude was one of them. Unless he could get something that would be very helpful to him he would accept.

"Great Master!"

A voice like the warm spring wind, soft and fascinating that could soothe the soul, was heard behind his back.

Huh? Ling Tian shook his head to see where this voice had come from.

The sacred fairy he had seen in the alchemy building appeared before him. The older woman was still behind her.

"Do you want something?" Ling Tian asked gently while looking into her eyes. Her eyes were as beautiful and deep as sparkling diamonds, but the nervousness, worry, and anxiety could be seen in them, so they dimmed their natural glow. A trace of sadness could also be noticed if one paid attention.

"M-may I ask you for something?" The sacred fairy asked nervously.

Ling Tian stared at her for a few seconds before nodding his head.

"And you are?" Ling Tian wanted to know if she really was Tang Jingtian's sister.

Although he had seen the contempt that all the people in that place had for him, he didn't care. They were trivial things to him. He just wanted to know what this beautiful fairy wanted.

The beautiful fairy nodded when she said with a heavenly voice, "Where are my manners?" She bowed in greeting as she said: "My name is Tang Wanying, I am from the Tang family"
