Chapter 172
Chapter 172
Song Luokui nodded, "Same as my brother, his room is pretty much the same too."
Song Luokui put down the photo album and took out a book from the desk, surprisingly it was a textbook from when Chi Yu was in high school. She casually said, "There won't be any love letters in there, will there?"
Chi Yu was just about to say, "No."
The next second, Song Luokui took out a paper heart from between the pages of the book...
Song Luokui looked at the paper heart and then at Chi Yu, who was dazed for a moment. Song Luokui let out a "pffft" of laughter.
Song Luokui: "Can I open it up and look?"
Chi Yu frowned, "I didn't know it was there, if I had known I would have thrown it away for sure."
Song Luokui: "So can I open it?"
Chi Yu scrutinized her expression, "You... will you get mad?"
Song Luokui shook her head, "No, why would I? You said you didn't know about it, right? My brother often has stuff like this too."
Chi Yu: "Okay then, go ahead and open it."
When Song Luokui opened it up, she found that it wasn't a love letter, or rather, it wasn't a love letter someone had written to Chi Yu, but rather a sketch of her.
Song Luokui's expression froze for a few seconds as she looked at Chi Yu, "When did you draw this?"
Chi Yu leaned in to take a look, "What?" Then he remembered, there was a date in the bottom right corner, from two years ago.
As he recalled, Chi Yu felt like he was transported back to that night when he had woken up from a dream in the middle of the night, picked up a pen and paper, and sketched her before folding it into a heart shape and putting it inside the book.
Song Luokui blinked, "Huh?"
Chi Yu looked at her and leaned down to whisper a couple of sentences in her ear.
Song Luokui's face instantly flushed with a light blush. She immediately reached out and pinched his muscular arm. However, Chi Yu grabbed her hand and slid it under his shirt, "Feel free to pinch wherever."
Song Luokui gave him a stern look, but couldn't stay mad, tilting her head up to bite his Adam's apple...
Chi Yu's hand immediately tightened around her...
It wasn't until lunchtime that the two emerged from the room, Song Luokui's eyes were slightly red and her blush hadn't faded, but her clothes were perfectly in place. Yan Sui looked at the two standing together with satisfaction, thinking about how their children would be the cutest in the whole manor when they had them.
After finishing lunch and staying for a little while longer, Chi Yu said he wanted to take her out to play, and the two left.
"Where are we going?" Song Luokui asked as the car left the manor.
Chi Yu: "To my place?"
Song Luokui: "You mean the place you moved to after leaving the manor?"
"Yeah."
"Okay." Song Luokui had no objections.
They soon arrived at a single-floor apartment unit, with an overall gray and black color scheme. Although Chi Yu rarely came back, it was always kept clean by the staff.
Chi Yu pressed a few buttons, and all the curtains opened, lights turned on, and the air conditioning started, with an electronic voice at the entrance: "Welcome home, master."
Song Luokui walked up to the floor-to-ceiling windows and looked outside at the towering skyscrapers. This was the most prosperous area of Jing City, and she could even vaguely make out the figures of corporate workers toiling away in the distant buildings.
Song Luokui: "Can people outside see through this glass?"
Chi Yu pressed a button, "They can, if you switch to window mode they can see in. But for privacy reasons, it's usually set so they can't see in."
Song Luokui: "It's better if they can't see in." She wouldn't want someone taking photos of them from across the way if they were doing anything... that would be so embarrassing.
After looking out for a while, she walked over to the couch and sat down, leaning her head back and letting out a yawn.
Chi Yu stood in front of her and reached his hand out, "Want to go check out the bedroom?"
Song Luokui: ?
When they got to the bedroom, Song Luokui realized why he had wanted her to see it - there were photos of the two of them hanging on the walls, and in the walk-in closet there were even some of her clothes, with makeup and toiletries set up in the bathroom too...
"Wait, when did you prepare all this? I've never even been here before."
Chi Yu: "Since I had everything set up at ChunWang Manor, I prepared a set here too. I figured you'd come here eventually."
Song Luokui gave him a look without saying anything, just marveling at his thoughtfulness.
It wasn't until that night when she stayed over that she realized it wasn't just thoughtfulness, but rather ill intentions. Thinking about it, Chi Yu ended up with a few more bite marks, which he accepted with satisfaction as he held her and let her bite wherever she wanted.
The weather was starting to get hot. In the dorm room, Wang Sisi came back from outside drenched in sweat, "It's so hot, this awful weather. Good thing the dorm has air conditioning. Ah, finally cool. This is the worst time for job interviews."
Song Luokui was puzzled, "Interviews?"
Wang Sisi nodded, "Yeah, for internships."
Song Luokui: "Why didn't you go to your family's company in Lin Cheng?"
Wang Sisi: "I just wanted to try things out for myself first, you know? Try different things to see what suits me best. Plus it's just an internship, I'm still planning to go to grad school."
Song Luokui thought about it and agreed it made sense, "You're right."
Next semester would be their senior year, and many people were already looking for internships. Even Song Luokui's company had taken on a few interns.
"If you think it might work out, you could try applying to my brother's company or Song Luosheng's. Or even mine, the benefits are pretty good," Song Luokui said.
Wang Sisi: "Okay, I'll look into it."
Song Luokui was the most relaxed in the whole dorm, with not too many classes at school. Besides attending classes, she would occasionally go to the company.
Recently, Chi Yu had been taking her to attend banquets and events. Now that they had met each other's parents, he felt more at ease bringing her along to social gatherings. At these events, his hand never left her waist, except when she needed to use the restroom and he would wait for her outside the door.
People gradually came to understand the nature of their relationship, as they had never seen Chi Yu speak so gently to anyone else before. They would often spot the two in a corner, Chi Yu leaning down to say something to Song Luokui, the two appearing exceptionally intimate.
Of course, there were also those who didn't approve, even harboring resentment - probably due to differing standpoints, as the alliance between the Chi and Song families would inevitably bring misfortune to certain parties.
During the May Day holiday, Chi Yu took Song Luokui abroad to travel, no longer needing to find excuses now that their relationship was out in the open. It was simply a trip to have fun.
At home, only Song Luosheng was relatively opposed, saying that who knows what Chi Yu would do when the two of them went out! But when Song Luokui acted coquettishly, Song Luosheng couldn't resist and had to agree, only threatening Chi Yu not to bully Song Luokui.
Chi Yu wondered in his heart what kind of bullying it would be.
Because of the hot weather, the two went to the beach again, but of course not just the beach. On this trip, Song Luokui experienced for the first time what it meant to move at the speed of life and death, what it meant to have a heart-pounding thrill...
