The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 69

69 Fear

Jake was controlling the metal so that it could act like a mirror. It was a bit hard, but he somehow did it for the areas in front of them.

It was just that the scene in front of him...

Was not exactly user friendly.

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

Countless insects were falling down in front of them, turning into a pile of rotting corpses on the ground. The sight was really bad.

Even though they had already known that Kate could turn a perfectly living being into corpses in just a moment of thought... seeing it for the first time still cause a terrifying visual effect that was hard to ignore.

“Ugh...” Dylan frowned and seemed uncomfortable.

Kate’s parents were staring with wide eyes.

The men who followed Dylan were former soldiers. But even for them, the scene of mass killing like that was still terrifying. If such power were to be used on people, it could be said that there would be a lot people who would hate that cat.

.....

And if one had to be honest.

No one would have ever thought that a little cat would be capable of wielding so much power that it was equivalent to biological mass destruction weapon.

“Please remind me forever not to treat pets as normal pet anymore.” Jake looked somewhat desperate.

Kyle was watching the scene in front of him while carrying Kate calmly. Even though he knew that these insects were dying because of the little cat in his arm, he didn’t show any sign of surprise or rejection like the others.

Thud!

As the insects piled up, Kyle waved his hand and fire eliminated all of them easily, turning into ashes. The crystals were already collected inside Kate’s space.

Soon, the swarm was gone.

All that left was the pile of corpses and ashes.

“Meow.”

Kate felt really sleepy. She looked at the pile of corpses in front of her and then turned to look at Kyle. Even though she had such powerful ability, she still couldn’t protect herself completely.

After all, after digesting everything, she will need to fall asleep for a long period of time.

And during this time, she would be very vulnerable.

“Meow.”

Kate herself felt helpless when she thought of her current condition. After all, she knew very well that she herself would not be able to do anything if Kyle wanted to harm his little cat.

Anyway, she just wanted to turn back into a human being.

With that in thought, Kate slept peacefully in Kyle’s hand.

“She’s sleeping?” Jake asked, a bit bewildered.

“Mhm.” Kyle walked to the car and entered the passenger seat. “I’ll be resting here. You can take care of the rest.”

“Wait, wait, wait.”

“What is it?”

“Are you not afraid of her?” Jake pointed at Kate, who was sleeping soundly in Kyle’s hand.

“If she had wanted to harm you, do you think you’ll still be here?” Kyle showed a mocking expression then shut the door with a loud ‘bang.’

Jake was speechless.

Dylan patted Jake’s shoulder. “Rest.”

“How about you, Dylan? Are you not afraid of Little Kitty?”

“Kyle is right.”

Jake: “...”

Dr. Dall looked at the little cat beside Kyle and took a deep breath. Even though he was intrigued, he also felt fear from the bottom of his heart when he saw what Little Kitty was able to do to these insects.

After all, it was nothing more than a moment of thought for Little Kitty but they wouldn’t even have a chance to resist.

He wanted to study her.

For her skill to not be limited by this thin layer of metals, it meant that normal living beings might not be able to get close to Little Kitty at all if they didn’t want to get hurt in the slightest bit.

And he knew that Kyle was correct. if Little Kitty had wanted to harm them, she would not just hiss at him when he said that he wanted to dissect her. Thankfully, the little cat was not offended.

To have such power...

It was not easy.

‘Should I feel glad that Little Kitty is not human?’ Dr. Dall thought to himself. Because if Little kitty is a human being, she might end up being chased by a lot of people because of this unique ability she had.

The door opened again.

Kyle glanced at Dylan. “Take care of their mouths. I don’t want anyone to be talking about this matter.”

Dylan nodded and walked to his men at the back.

The group of people quickly swore and said that they will never told this matter to everyone. They even dared to sign the contract that Dylan handed to them with their lives as guarantee.

As technology advanced and with Dylan’s exceptional skills, he naturally had his own way to ensure that some information can never be passed out.

His men knew that.

He might look just like a silent young man, but his capability was very terrifying.
