The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 52

52 Radio

“Meow~”

Kate walked towards Kyle and he picked her up easily. They had just finished eating and naturally had no intention to quickly set off. It was just dawn, so they could afford dawdling a few more minutes.

Jake turned on the radio.

“I hope that they will give some interesting news rather than just the unnecessary report that copy and paste each other.”

“Real news.” Dylan nodded.

Jake grinned. “It seemed that you have been talking more recently, Dylan. Are you thinking of answering us with two words from now on?”

“No.”

Back to one world.

Anyway, Jake was just joking. He knew that it would be impossible for Dylan to change so much in regards to this peculiar habits of his. It was also a good thing that Dylan’s parents were rich, so they could afford having a child with such interesting peculiarity.

.....

It was even more so when many jobs required them to have high EQ as compared to high IQ.

<bzzt... bzttt...$%^&*(>

Some strange sound came out of the radio.

“Did you take out a broken radio instead of a good one?” Kyle was perplexed when he heard those broken words.

“No way. This is the new one.”

“Did you set the frequency right?”

“Oh, you’re right. I set it wrong. Wait a minute.”

After fiddling with the button for a bit, they could finally hear voices from the radio. This time, it was no longer the unrecognized strange sound that seemed to be hurting their ears.

“What a bull s***.” Jake shook his head. “That’s just an application by the military to control us who had awakened. These rewards are nothing important for us.”

“For some people, these rewards are very tempting. What they didn’t know is that they will just end up being some of the scientist lab rat if they choose to take the lowest ranked jobs available.” Kyle was looking at the website and saw that these awakened people could also get some special jobs.

It has been designed meticulously.

These jobs were clearly paying well.

And for those who didn’t manage to graduate with high education, it was certainly their chance to be able to receive stable job with relatively high salary. With their previous qualification, this kind of job would have been out of their reach.

And there were also some other jobs that were clearly much better but required higher qualification such as certain combat ability and so on. It seemed that there will also be some kind of test that was designed to allow these people to assign these newly awakened people in their most suitable places.

Kyle looked at it and shook his head.

“City A is trying to keep the awakened from staying within the city. Even though they had blocked the gate, if our growth is this fast, it’s estimated that even guns wouldn’t be able to do anything in just a few days. With this application, they will be able to monitor us.”

“Are all cities have this kind of website?”

“I only find City A for now.”

“Oh.”

Jake nodded.

After that, they continued to listen to the radio.

“...They’re even opening the market again?” Jake was stunned. He then turned to look at Dylan. “How about your family’s business?”

“Still close.” Dylan glanced at Jake as if saying that Jake was an idiot. At this time, whoever could hoard the most resources would definitely be able to last longer. There was no way he would want to throw those resources for money that was no longer useful for him.

“Do you want to do some crystal exchange?” Jake turned to Kyle.

Kyle shook his head.

There were various colors and he understood that they were also useful for different people.

Red is fire element

Yellow is earth element.

Blue is water element.

Transparent is space element.

Purple is lightning element.

Grey is metal element.

Chocolate is wood element.

These were all the colors that had been used by their group so far. The yellow and chocolate color were used by Kate’s parents to advance. Though, they were not really that diligent in using those crystals.

Aside from these colors, there were still a few more colors that Kyle was not totally sure what element it was for.

Orange color, green color, and white color.

There were a total of ten different colors. Kyle didn’t know what they would be used for, so he chose to keep them in case he will meet with people of the other elements who will need these.

Anyway, they were not taking too much space in Kate’s space.

They continued to listen.
