The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 41

Chapter 41: Time Skip

The next few days could be said to be very monotone.

At least, that was what Kate felt.

After interacting with her parents, Kate found out that her parents did awakened some abilities. Her father could control the earth a bit to help plant grow. He said that he could use it for battle too, but he was not so interested in that thing.

After all, living a peaceful life for most of his life had already formed habits. Not to mention that his age was definitely not young again, so Kate’s Father only learned some basic to defend himself aside from using his ability to cultivate his plants.

On the other hand, Kate’s mother awakened wood ability. It was extremely useful for healing, which made Kate’s mother become very healthy. At the same time, she used this ability to heal their group whenever they come back.

Naturally, Kate was never injured.

She was simply hiding inside Kyle’s jacket, so there was not even a chance for her to get hurt.

.....

As for ranking.

The TV said that if they sensed major changes in their ability, it meant that they had advanced a rank. If it was only some minor changes, it meant that they advanced a minor rank.

So far, it was said that the highest people who awakened had reached rank 3.

Their group all reached rank 3 too, including Kate. The only one who didn’t was Kate’s Father who didn’t use his ability that much because he was engrossed in his research.

Kate even felt a bit perplexed.

But well, whatever.

She didn’t understand anything about what he was doing, so she didn’t want to disturb him.

“Little Kitty.”

“Meow.”

Kate glanced up and saw Kyle put down some crystals. Her eyes lit up as she raised her paw and touched the translucent crystals in front of her.

They melt almost immediately.

Feeling the warmth in her body, Kate sighed deeply.

She was practically the easiest to level up in the group. For some reason, she needed fewer crystals as compared to the others. It might be because her small body as she had turned into a cat or perhaps because she was not a real animal but instead a transformed one?

Kate didn’t know.

Anyway, she felt good that she managed to level up so quickly. What she hoped was that someday, it will trigger this transformation and allowed her to be a human again.

“Tsk, you really pamper your cat,” Jake complained when he saw the crystals that Kate took.

Kyle arched his eyebrows. “If you want someone to pamper you, go find your girlfriend.”

Jake: “...”

He had the urge to throw this pillow straight to his friend’s face.

Dylan walked out and nodded in agreement. “Girlfriend.”

“My girlfriend is not in City A, damn it!” Jake howled in indignation.

Kate looked at Jake in surprise. Surprisingly, this chatterbox actually already had a partner. Now she’s truly curious just what kind of person who would want to stay with him.

Kyle laughed. “Well, you don’t have to worry about her safety. Her family members will surely protect her.”

“I know.” Jake rolled his eyes.

Dylan nodded.

“Come on, take your equipment. We’ll try to get out of the city today.” Kyle waved his hand and the others started to move.

Kate was dumbfounded.

“MEOW?”
