The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 304 - 304 City C

304 City C

“Me?” Kyle arched his eyebrows and turned to look at Kate.

He has always been a person who controlled himself well but most of the time, he was the type of person who would destroy things that didn’t look good in his eyes. Perhaps, that was the reason why the element he awakened were fire and lightning.

The two most destructive type of elements.

“You know how I usually am, Kate.” Kyle patted Kate’s head, not wanting to explain more.

Kate blinked her eyes but didn’t probe deeper.

Instead, she was thinking of her own personality and why she even awakened the reverse healing ability. She was not the type of person who would wish for other people’s destruction, right?

Or was it because she was usually a lazy person and always wanted to finish everything quickly so that she could play around.

…That was quite unusual.

But thinking of how easy it was for her to advance and use her abilities, Kate chose to put the matter to the back of her head.

.....

Anyway, it didn’t matter that much.

“We’re going again. Are you done?” Kyle called Dylan and Alisa.

The two of them finished their first lesson and get on the car again.

The rest of the journey was very quiet without anything interesting happening. Aside from the fact that they were all busy killing these giant mutated animals and collected the crystals, there was nothing else that happened.

Alisa was also getting better and better. It was to the point that Jake was jealous by her quick learning.

“I don’t understand why she was still so poor before but getting much better so fast now,” Jake complained. He had trained so hard for months but his result didn’t seem to be as good as Alisa’s few days’ training.

It was frustrating.

Not to mention, he had just suffered with Lotte to practice in City E. Even if they still sneaked out to have their date, Kyle seemed to have been prepared for them to continue their practice so that they would not suddenly lose control again.

“Lack of experience, not lack of practice.” Dylan could see that Alisa was not so awkward in using her abilities. But when it came to close combat and instant decision making, she was not so fast. It had to be lack of experience.

And with her status as the young princess of White Family, it was estimated that there were many people who protected her. It might be to the point that she herself was not allowed to walk around and fight by herself.

That way, it would be hard for her to grow.

“Are there not many experts in White Family?” Jake asked curiously.

“There are some, but most of them are busy to protect and to work.” Alisa shrugged. She only had one expert protecting her, so it was impossible for her to roam around and try to fight these giant mutated animals.

If she had to be honest, this was the first time she felt so free because she could fight to her heart content.

Even if there were others who were protecting her, they were not so close that she would feel suffocated and that she was heavily protected.

It felt much better.

“I see.”

“We’re here.” Alisa pointed at the gate in front of them. “City C had already attracted a lot of people to live and the military had also started to pay attention to. Our family is located at the west of City C, near the factories and also the fields.”

“The fields?” Kyle asked.

“Yes. Cocoa field and sugar cane field.” Alisa smiled.

Kyle nodded. He knew that chocolate was made from cocoa that needed to be processed further. Anyway, he was not in a food industry and didn’t have much interest in farming like many others who were deeply involved in this industry.

“I’ll take you there.” Alisa thought for a moment. “My father said that it’s impossible to hide this soon anyway.”

“Is there something there?” Jake became interested instantly.

“Wang! Wang!” <Are there more food?>

Marc pushed his dog to the side. He felt tired when he thought of this foodie dog that only cared for food and nothing else. Can’t this dog realize that his master was also working hard to feed him, so he had to be more restrained.

“An interesting mutation.”

“Huh?”

This naturally attracted everyone. The red rain had caused everything to change and what they wanted to know more right now was whether there were any other mutations that occurred or not.

Anyway, as long as it was not those annoying giant mutated animals, it would be very interesting.

“Does the researchers have taken notice of this?”

“Yeah. It’s not only here but also some other places.” Alisa admitted. “There will be an important meeting for everyone who had reached rank 7 within a months’ time.”

Kyle’s eyes narrowed when he heard that.

With the third red rain, more and more powerful awakened people had appeared. And it was also time for those powerful force to show their might so that they could truly unite the country.

After all, it was not impossible for the country to split after so many attacks from these giant mutated animals.

Even now, the situation was not completely good.

What they wanted was to keep the country intact together and not separate it into several countries because of the current separation. If they talked about this matter many years later, it would have been too late.

The foundation had to be built earlier.

This had to be decided when there were still threat of these giant mutated animals so that they could be united more. Without the threat of giant mutated animals, it would be harder to make these parties willingly cooperate.

“I see.” Kyle thought of his two elements and the corner of his lips curled up to form a sneer. At the very least, now he could formally say that he wanted the control of City E and wouldn’t care for others.
