The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 272 - 272 Going Home

272 Going Home

“One more thing, the Civil Affairs Bureau had been built, so if you want to register your marriage, you can do it now.” General Ryan waved his hand. “Come to my house for dinner, you can go see your partner’s parents first.”

He felt that he better just took a step back.

Anyway, relationship couldn’t be rushed. He also wanted to see his son have his own happiness and not become an old bachelor for his entire life. In fact, that was what General Ryan thought would happen to Kyle in the past.

After all, with his personality and way of doing things, he really couldn’t imagine this son of his being gentle and cared for anyone else.

But things seemed to turn in a way he never expected.

Well, he would have to figure out how to coax Kate’s father first. That man loved his daughter a lot and definitely wouldn’t agree to have her date Kyle since he knew how much trouble Kyle could be.

General Ryan felt immediate headache.

“Ok.” Kyle’s eyes lit up. For the first time, he felt that his father was truly bringing him good news.

On the other hand, Kate was stumped.

.....

Marriage?

Wasn’t that too fast?

Thankfully, Kyle didn’t mention about that matter anymore when they got out of General Ryan’s office. Instead, they headed to find Kate’s parents, who were already worried about their daughter.

Kate’s parents were staying in a separate courtyard not far from General Ryan’s residence.

After that incident that involved their daughter directly, General Ryan wanted to assure their safety. Thus, he set a separate house where the couple could stay for the time being.

“Kate!” Kate’s mother hugged her daughter the moment she saw Kate appeared.

“Mom,” Kate called out, hugging her mother.

She felt really relieved that her parents were still alive and well. When she lost control back then, she had forgotten everything and seemed to not care about anything else. But when she calmed down, she realized that her parents were still in City E.

What if her action had caused trouble to her parents?

Kate was really worried.

And seeing them living well now, Kate felt immediate relief and laughed lightly.

She really felt that was lucky to be able to still be able to see her parents.

“You should have told us if there’s something so important like that.” Kate’s Father looked at his daughter with a complicated expression.

When he found out that Kate’s ability was actually reverse healer, he felt his mind turned blank. This powerful ability was something that was discussed only in private because everyone felt it was so powerful and out of their reach.

Most of the ordinary healers were different from reverse healer.

They couldn’t protect themselves unless they were dual awakened. Thus, there would always be other people who came to protect the healers.

And knowing that his own daughter is actually a reverse healer, Kate’s Father was stupefied.

Space ability.

Transformation.

And lastly reverse healer.

The three rare abilities were gathered in one person, making Kate’s Father felt deeply how extraordinary his daughter actually is. It was also because of this that he felt deep worry for his daughter.

She was rather na?ve.

And her lack of experience was caused by her somewhat introverted personality.

If she were to roam around out there, Kate’s Father would definitely be very worried about his daughter.

“Sorry.” Kate looked at her father and lowered her head.

She knew that it was wrong of her not to tell her parents about her real ability. But she really didn’t want to tell them back then.

How could she possibly tell them that their adorable and cute daughter hold a power that could possibly destroy the entire world? She didn’t want to destroy her image in front of them, okay?

Kate’s Father looked at Kate’s appearance and sighed deeply. He pulled Kate and Kate’s mother and hugged them.

“No matter what, Dad will always stay by your side.”

Kate’s body trembled a bit when she heard her father’s words.

Her father and mother loved her deeply and always respected what she decided. Even if there were some arguments from time to time, it has always been because they cared for her and didn’t want any harm to come to her.

Her father even loved to pamper her so much, which might be the main reason why her personality was more na?ve.

But she loved her parents.

They also loved her greatly.

“Yes, Dad,” Kate whispered in a low voice.

At the back, Kyle watched Kate reunited with her parents and stayed silent. Unlike him and his father who had always been at odds, Kate’s relationship with her parents were really good. He could see how much her parents treasured her.

Kyle’s rubbed his nose.

It seemed that the next conversation with Kate’s father might be a bit difficult.

It took some time for the three of them to calm down.

“How’s City E’s treatment to you, Mom, Dad?” Kate asked, a bit worried about another matter.

“It’s fine. They didn’t seem to have much prejudice about reverse healer.” Kate’s Mother smiled.

“None at all?” Kate arched her eyebrows, not quite believing her mother’s words.

“Well…”

Kate’s Father sighed. “There are some people who didn’t like it, which is why the military is deployed. But their number are still the minority.”

Kate’s pupils trembled when she heard her father’s words. She really felt that it was her fault that her parents were treated worse in City E. If she didn’t awaken reverse healing ability, they would have never had to face such coercion.

“I’m sorry…”

“It’s not your fault.” Kate’s Father waved his hand. “If you want to blame anyone, blame those meteorites that come to our planet.”

“Meteorites?” Kate blinked her eyes.

Why did she seem to not know about this?

“Well, there are some things that you will know later.” Kate’s Father glanced at Kyle. It seemed that this young man hadn’t explained to Kate about the real reason why these giant mutated animals could appear in the first place.
