Chapter 82.3
Chapter 82.3
“I’ll deal with them.”
“[I am the one who pursues the truth, the one who seeks the art of ruling reason].”
The horses neigh as I suddenly started chanting, and the bright sky began to become cloudy.
“[Hear the heaven howl, howl to the earth, maiden of iron, chain of heaven and earth, path descending from the sky, signpost of death, I swing down the wrath of God-]”
Leaving the necessary preparatory magic to [System], I caught the huge thunderbolt with my raised Ridil blade and leaped from the top of the galloping Pochi.
“[Sing]!”
(Target Set Ready>>High Elemental.)
“[Exa Donner]-!”
A blade of lightning extending from the blade to the heavens. With Ridil in one hand, which received the 10th class magic [Thunder God], I unleashed a [Combat Skill] on the enemy targeted by the system as the spirits that seemed to fill the sky and start shimmering to attack.
“[Tempest Blade]!”
The strongest [Combat Skill] of the one-handed sword, a tenfold strike that slashed with a powerful blade, [Storm Blade] cut through only the nine advanced spirits it targeted, and with a melody like the strumming of a string instrument, the targets were obliterated.
I couldn’t do this in a VRMMO, but now I thought I could use magic and Combat Skill at the same time, and I was glad I succeeded.
When I defeated the high-ranking spirits, the remaining intermediate and lower level spirits wavered briefly.
Just as High Elves were close to the spirits, I, who became an Ancient Elf, became closest to the spirits.
The high-ranking spirit had a strong will and could lead, however, the weak-willed spirits who were separated from the beloved child were afraid of my presence that had a high level and: perhaps: the presence of the Great Spirit of Earth and Light who were on my side, even though they disappeared to somewhere else.
I targeted only the high-ranking spirits because, aside from them, the lower and intermediate spirits, who were like worker bees, would scatter when the chain of command broke.
When I returned to Pochi landing on his back while stowing the still charged Ridil in my bag, Pochi retorted in dismay with words similar to what I had thought before I moved.
[Carol just do this on her own, right?]
“…”
I also had a sneaking suspicion that this was an act similar to previous demonstrative actions of Demon Lords. To put it bluntly, it turned into an unintentional demonstration of power.
Was it my imagination that I could feel the heat, excitement, and awe from behind me as I sprinted in the lead…?
…the speed of the march had slowed down slightly. I doubt that there was any fatigue in the following group yet, but because of the attack by the spirits, those in the rear became more conscious of their vigilance than their progress.
I had the [system] do the calculations to interrupt in the middle of the graduation party, but it might be very close.
A Graduation party…. It was a condemnation event, so I actually should have been there. I would have been escorted by Cam.
I couldn’t wear the dress that Cam had prepared for me because I had grown up. When I turned my attention to the dress in my [bag], the [system] displayed the dress.
(Item: White Party Dress (From Camille): Body Armor: Defense 10)
“…”
I thought it was digitalized, but it even turned into body armor!
