Chapter 24: 24:Seeking New Employee
Evan gave a brief nod to the security guard who greeted him with a smile and walked away
He didn't wear the mask after all, any maniac who was keeping tabs on the incident might already know where he was studying.
Moreover, the hype was something like that.
It came like a cyclone and then died out like that nowhere to be seen. Many might have already forgotten about that but he was sure that once the case picked up, things would become chaotic again.
Evan directly went to the HOD cabin…
This made him remember the bittersweet memories.
The Head of the department of their branch was a man of 50. Evan asked him for guidance which he gave but after three days, Evan understood nothing and that fellow almost cursed all his generation.
Evan didn't know how he became HOD with such poor teaching skills.
No wonder he rarely takes a class or two throughout the year.
Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door.
"Come in..."
A somber sound echoed from inside.
As soon as Evan walked in, he decided to use insight skills.
Name:Michael Freyes
Skills: Intermediate Programming Skills[192/200], Beginner Stock Marketing[45/100]
Impression:9
Evan raised his brows staring at skills..
The skill set was quite..what can he say so, so but this shows that the man wasn't as useless as he thinks.
"Sir, you called me!"
Michael raised his eyes and nudged his specks.
His flickering eyes suddenly became cold all of sudden as if someone pissed me.
At that time, Evan shows a flicker and the impression goes down to 5.
'What fuck the did I do?'
"Yes, Evan, I called you about the Project Submission."
"Huh! Isn't it in Mar..!"
BANG!
Before Evan could finish his speech, Michael slammed his hand on the table.
"Stop arguing, idiot."
"Useless fellow...You aren't keeping tabs on assignments, do you? I am telling you kid, don't waste time partying outside and picking girls."
"When I was your age, I had to cycle 40 miles to go to college. We don't even have computers. We have to assume a block of cardboard as a computer and draw icons on the screen."
Evan stood there bowing his head while the man kept on going.
'Why the fuck is this guy lecturing me? If I ask this question he might start another war scolding class?'
After an unknown amount of time, Michael finally calmed down feeling thirsty, and shouted.
"Everyone is asked to submit the reports about their project assignment but only you are the one who hasn't submitted it? And who will you after all you are busy enjoying unlike your classmates working their asses off?"
Evan didn't refute and just did what he was asked and then ran away as if running away from death.
In his haste, he didn't forget to curse in his mind.
'I swear…I will take my revenge one day. It's not as if no one knew about your bribes.'
Snorting, Evan left and knocked on Aria's cabin door.
"Come in!"
As Evan stepped in, he saw Aria typing on a computer like a ghost. The sound of clicking wafted and filled the room.
'Her skills are great.'
Walking ahead, Evan took our few paper cups from his bag and put them on the table.
Aria had helped her a lot so sending her a few cups of tea was the least he could do.
At first, Aria didn't react as if Evan's presence wasn't bothersome but the moment she saw the cups, her expression froze.
The clicking sound stopped and she stared at Evan curiously with a flabbergasted gaze.
Evan almost gulped his saliva, noticing her fearsome look.
"What's wrong? Miss Aria?"
Aria hesitated a little before asking, "Evan, I remembered you said you opened a shop with few partners."
"Yeah! What's wrong with that?"
"Then is that Teabox cafe of yours?"
"Yeah, it's mine, why?"
Aria blinked her eyes with a cute innocent expression. Her frozen cold look coupled with her cute blink was a sight to behold however Evan didn't dare to comment.
"Damn! I just realized it now. I remembered you spoke about some shoo but I forgot about it. If only I knew this was yours, I wouldn't have wasted my time to stand in line," Aria clicked her tongue as her face scrunched with regret.
She made an expression of extreme loss.
"Evan, from now every day make sure to send me two cups in the morning and evening."
"Ahem! Miss that's mine shop, not yours," Evan coughed.
"Is there any difference? As a student can't you do this much for a teacher? I thought you were a good man but…"
Unable to bear Evan interjected, "Okay.Okay…I will arrange it later. Now, we are short on hands so once we make up the number."
"So, what are you here today?"
"Let's leave that. I looked for you because I have a job."
"Job…I am not interested in any job now."Aria refused flatly.
"At least hear me out first."Evan pleaded and started to explain.
"I have developed an app and wanted to start an IT software company so I needed some guidance and help. With your skills, I am sure you can help me, and I promise to give you a very good salary."
Hearing this, Aria rested her chin on her palm and examined Evan from head to toe.
"Do you even have that much money? Do you even know how much investment is needed to open a company?"
"Why don't you go and take a look at my cafe business."
"Sorry, I underestimated you. Then what about the app and software you want to develop? It's a hassle and I do not opt for babysitting a whole team."
"You just need to supervise. As for the app, I am already working on it, "Evan said, puffing his chest.
As a hot-blooded teenager, shouldn't he show off a bit?
PFTT!
Aria burst into laughter as if she heard something funny. It wasn't that a person could not create an app but with Evan's skills, he needed to go further and needed a lot of experience so she was sure that it wasn't possible any time shortly.
"Good joke…Then tell me after you finish creating the app. I will think about it then?"
"Do you promise?"Evan smirked and even pulled out his phone to record.
"Of course, I promise. If you manage to create a good app, I will even work for you for free."
Aria answered jokingly but little did she know that she stepped on Evan's trap and would soon be greeted by shocking turn of events.
