The Third-Gen Chaebol Becomes a Genius Actor

Chapter 44: Dreaming (2).

Chapter 44: Dreaming (2).

Chunbaek flew across the screen, literally.

He shot his gun without looking and hit the distant enemies, while blocking the nearby ones’ punches with his other hand and kicking them.

He looked calm and serene, even when he performed difficult moves. His movements were inhuman.

Sihwan also helped Chunbaek while shooting at the enemies.

The screen showed the tense situation without being too chaotic, and alternated between Yeon Seo and Jinsoo’s brilliant action scenes.

‘The directing is good.’

Yeon Seo rested his elbow on the armrest and propped his chin up.

“Did you film that in one take, Yeon Seo?”

“That’s amazing.”

The writer Jeong Dahee’s studio was quite spacious, so there was enough room for the main actors and other staff members.

Jeong Dahee fixed her eyes on the screen with sparkling eyes.

There was no sound. She had only imagined it, but her characters, born from her fingertips, were alive and breathing.

“How can you do it so well? Did you learn self-defense when you were young, as a chaebol?”

“I did an action movie last year.”

“Right. The one where you played a special forces agent? When is it coming out?”

“I don’t know, maybe after the drama ends.”

Yeon Seo answered nonchalantly and focused on the drama again.

Actually, Chunbaek’s action in ‘Dreaming’ was influenced by Yeon Seo’s opinion.

Kang Jinho couldn’t feel pain, so he often used the strategy of sacrificing his flesh and taking the bones, which seemed to suit Chunbaek, who could just recover the damaged data in the drama.

Thanks to that, the acting was easy. He just did what he used to do.

‘He looks fine, though…’

He was too healthy for someone who had a disease that made him vomit blood. Jinsoo glanced at the back of Yeon Seo’s head and then concentrated on the screen again.

Sihwan and Chunbaek, who had subdued all the defense mechanisms, walked along the corridor of the memory room.

“Let’s go.”

The longer they stayed, the more it affected their real bodies.

Besides, the chairman’s mother was old, so it was better to wake her up as soon as possible.

“But why do you look like that? You’re just a digital scrap…”

“Are you saying I’m handsome? I know that.”

Chunbaek said with a shameless expression that didn’t change at all, making Sihwan frown.

“I mixed the looks of idols, actors, models, and so on, according to my taste.”

“I thought you were Juhee’s taste.”

“Do you like Dr. Yang Juhee?”

Chunbaek’s direct question made Sihwan’s expression change slightly.

“Ah.”

“Don’t say anything more.”

“Okay.”

Chunbaek blinked his right eye. It looked more like a habit of closing his right eye when he blinked, rather than a wink.

Anyway, Sihwan sighed, thinking it was a wink.

At the end of the corridor of the memory room, there was a large door that led to the server of ‘Utopia’.

“Don’t you want to see more memory clues?”

“No need.”

‘Utopia’ shows the user the environment they want. If they want to see their happy past memories, it creates a world based on their memories, and if they want to go to a world that would only exist in fantasy novels, it creates a suitable environment for them.

And it sends signals to the user’s brain waves in that world to heal their uncomfortable bodies in reality. Dementia was still beyond the technology’s limit to cure, but…

“Master, what kind of ideal world do you think the subject will have?”

Looking at some memories, it seemed that the chairman’s mother cherished her family terribly.

She was devoted to her parents and siblings in her childhood, and to her husband and children when she grew up and got married.

“It’s obvious. It must be a happy and harmonious environment with their family.”

Park Si-hwan sneered and flung open the door of ‘Utopia’. Chun-baek tilted his head in surprise.

“…Well, you’re right about the happy and harmonious environment.”

“Huh…”

It was a nightclub from the 7080 era.

The variety of time periods.

That was why Yoo Yeon Seo chose ‘Dreaming’.

The story of Park Si-hwan, who was bright on the outside but dark on the inside, unfolded as he brought out the stories of each case from reality.

There were episodes that made each case laugh and cry, and the fantasy environment and different time periods that could only be seen in imagination had a charm that evoked nostalgia for the people of that era.

“Is this their ideal…or their escape…?”

“It’s more likely to be the latter.”

As they passed through the door, Park Si-hwan and Chun-baek’s outfits changed. They wore retro-style clothes with bright primary colors, shirts and pants, and scarves around their necks.

Chun-baek looked at his own body and then blinked his right eye at Park Si-hwan’s outfit.

“It suits you well.”

“Are you mocking me?”

“No, I’m not.”

The production team deliberately put Park Si-hwan in a ridiculous outfit and Chun-baek in a relatively modest one. Park Si-hwan frowned at the contrast.

“Find her.”

“Yes, I understand.”

Chun-baek moved his head like an owl, while his body remained still. His eyes had a special effect that seemed to analyze something.

“She’s over there.”

Park Si-hwan followed Chun-baek’s finger and saw the young chairman’s mother dancing happily.

“She might not know that this world is inside ‘Utopia’, since she has dementia.”

“I guess so. How do we get her out…”

Chun-baek replied matter-of-factly to Park Si-hwan’s muttering.

“What do you mean, how? You have to seduce her, Master.”

“What?”

Chun-baek looked at Park Si-hwan with his characteristic expressionlessness. His white skin and silver hair matched well.

“It seems like the case is dreaming of an escape, and isn’t romantic love essential for an escape?”

“Where did you learn that?”

“They said so on the G-model site.”

“That’s not it. Erase it.”

If he approached her too hastily, he would lose the next opportunity. He decided to send Chun-baek first and figure out her personality.

“You go ahead.”

“I’m just a digital scrap, so I’m very clumsy at dealing with the opposite sex. I’ll be found out soon.”

Was he sulking because he was called a digital scrap? He seemed to have enough emotion to seduce someone.

Park Si-hwan sighed softly and rolled up his sleeves.

“I’ll go, then. You check if there’s any defense mechanism.”

“Yes, I understand.”

Chun-baek waited behind and Park Si-hwan tried to get close to the young chairman’s mother. Their appearance was blended with the colorful and warm visual beauty.

When they became somewhat friendly, they left the nightclub and walked along the dark street.

“Huh? What are those people?”

“What? Where…”

The people who were in the nightclub came out one by one and approached Park Si-hwan and the chairman’s mother. Their movements were strange. Like soldiers… Park Si-hwan’s expression sharpened in an instant.

(Warning, defense mechanism activated.)

Chun-baek, who had stuck behind Park Si-hwan, loaded his gun and said.

“Should we debug it?”

“Not now. We can’t damage her.”

Park Si-hwan looked at the young chairman’s mother. The defense mechanism was from the case herself, so it wouldn’t attack her, but they could get caught in the crossfire if they were too close.

“Then what do we do? Give me an order.”

“For now…run!”

With that, the screen froze. The drama’s OST played and the sponsor logos flashed briefly.

“It’s not because it’s our drama…but it was pretty well done, right?”

“Really. The director did an amazing job.”

“It’s because the script is good.”

“The sound is also killer, right?”

The people who were immersed in the drama with bated breath praised it one by one and clapped their hands.

“The community response is also very good.”

“Yu-mi, you’ve been looking at your phone since earlier, were you looking at that?”

“It’s fun.”

Jo Yu-mi, who played Yang Ju-hee, grabbed the person next to her and showed her the phone screen.

“Everyone is talking about Su-ho and Yeon Seo. There’s nothing about me!”

“Here! Here it is.”

“Where…‘Jo Yu-mi looks like a squid.’ What is this!”

The people who were listening laughed.

-Chun-baek will take care of you from today

-Is it normal that I find Yoo Yeon Seo cute?

└It’s normal, me too

-Drrr…thud…Hello, Master…Drrr…thud…Hello, Master…Drrr…thud…Hello, Master…Drrr…thud…Hello, Master…

-lol his serious expression telling him to seduce her cracked me up

-But did Yoo Yeon Seo take acting lessons lately? He’s using his body differently.

└True

└He’s not bad at action, looking forward to the White Tiger episode

-How fun is Dreaming that they took over the category

First episode ‘Dreaming’ Jin Su-ho x Yoo Yeon Seo show off their special chemistry

Yoo Yeon Seo, different from before…‘Dreaming’ captures the comic, action, and emotion of the fantasy in the dream

‘Dreaming’ Jin Su-ho x Yoo Yeon Seo, a thrilling first encounter

‘Not bad.’

Yoo Yeon Seo turned off the screen and got up from his seat.

He didn’t care about the ratings, but seeing the result of what he had filmed made him want to look at the script again at home.

Chun-baek’s acting was mostly thanks to the reference of the beta and the 2207 android, so he didn’t put much effort into it.

He couldn’t keep relying on his experience like this…

“Writer, are you crying?”

Director Lee Su-ji handed a tissue to Jeong Da-hee.

“No! It’s just a bit…”

Jeong Da-hee sniffed and tried to hold back her tears.

Everyone was laughing, but she was moved by just watching the first episode…

But the people who knew what Jeong Da-hee had gone through just smiled warmly.

“It’s a shame to leave this place…Director, are you okay with filming tomorrow? Shall we have some late-night snacks? I’ll treat.”

“Yes, sounds good!”

“I’ll be going then.”

Everyone cheered at Lee Seon-ja’s words. But Yoo Yeon Seo broke the friendly atmosphere with a faint voice.

“Huh…?”

“Yeon Seo, are you not joining the after-party?”

“No, I’m tired.”

The atmosphere of ‘Dreaming’ was good.

He didn’t know why they were so nice to him even though he ran out of the set screaming, but he thought they were just kind-hearted people.

Yoo Yeon Seo opened the door of the studio.

Just then, a delivery man came into the studio and put a bag on the desk.

“Delivery.”

“Is it chicken?”

The delivery men looked at the celebrities gathered in the studio with curiosity and quickly left to handle other deliveries.

“Huh?”

“Did Yeon Seo order this…?”

“Just have the after-party without me.”

Yoo Yeon Seo said in his characteristic languid voice and left the studio.

A loud cheer came from behind.

It was actually something he ordered through Im Seung-hyun, but he didn’t do anything and just paid the money.

“Hey, Lee Tae-gyeom. I’m going down.”

Yoo Yeon Seo erased the smile that unknowingly hung on his lips and picked up his phone to make a short call.

When he was waiting for the elevator, someone came out of the studio.

“Yeon Seo.”

It was Jin Su-ho.

He had his belongings in his hand, so he must have left early like Yoo Yeon Seo.

“Are you not eating and just going?”

“Yes, I’m tired too. I don’t eat late-night snacks much…”

Yoo Yeon Seo glanced at Jin Su-ho.

He wanted to look at the script at home partly because he was inspired by Jin Su-ho’s acting.

Park Si-hwan showed calculated movements that considered the camera angle in the cool scenes and fell apart endlessly in the ruined scenes. His voice and pronunciation were clear and hit the ears hard.

“Can the two lead actors leave?”

“We have this teacher, so it’s fine.”

Jin Su-ho smiled kindly. He heard from Lee Seon-ja why Yoo Yeon Seo ran out of the set and got angry, and he didn’t get annoyed even when Yoo Yeon Seo whined.

“What about the hospital…”

“They said there was nothing wrong.”

Yoo Yeon Seo cut off Jin Su-ho’s words and lied without changing his expression.

“Do you, have it often?”

“No. It was just that time. I’ll go first.”

Yoo Yeon Seo got on the even-numbered floor elevator and left without hesitation.

Jin Su-ho, who was left in the hallway, stroked his chin and sank into his thoughts.

‘But it looked like…he was too familiar with it.’
