The Academy’s Secret Club [Part 2]
On that note, Palace was developing a product called [Salamanfever Cooling Patch], made by cutting salamander skin into appropriate sizes that could be stuck to one’s forehead when one had a fever. Even if the cooling patches got warm from the forehead’s temperature, strangely enough, they would turn cold again when in direct contact with fire, so they could be used semi-permanently. The flaw was that salamander skin stank a little, but Emma straight up left it to the Rothschild Company to figure out a way to remove the smell.
“Emma-sama, please keep any more than that our trade secret.”
*Shh* Joshua put his index finger on his lips and stopped Emma from speaking more.
“They will cut off their tails to try to escape if they sense dangers, so farming is possible…”
“George-sama!!! Like I said, it’s our trade secret!”
Joshua blocked George’s mouth with his hand. Emma and George received completely different treatments from Joshua, but well, nothing could be helped about that.
“Emma-sama’s creativity is worth thousands of gold coins. It will be terrible if someone steals her idea in a place like this!”
Turning Emma’s creativity into money is Joshua’s life mission and purpose. He wouldn’t let anyone obstruct his way, even if that person was Emma’s older brother, George.
“No… Well… Let’s continue our lesson. Open your textbook, page 70. Salamanders are lizard-like monsters clad in flames, very dangerous monsters that can freely manipulate the flames they are wrapped in to attack. Understood? I will repeat it once more. Salamander is a very dangerous monster.”
‘Even if someone heard that Emma Stuart’s idea was worth thousands of gold coins as that Rothschild boy said, who on earth would want to go hunt salamanders?’
Wolfgang’s brain couldn’t keep up with the outlook of those born in the borderland. ‘While there is life, there is hope. Even a Monster Science teacher like myself doesn’t know if I can defeat a salamander if I battle it one-on-one. Who on earth would procure salamanders in large quantities, farm(?), and process them? The students taking the lesson are terrified just by seeing the textbook illustration of a salamander breathing fire.
Well, logically speaking, George Stuart can hunt them, while Joshua Rothschild can stock, farm (??), and process them. But you guys are the only ones who can pull that off.
Ordinary people, or rather, normal hunters, will never hit on the idea of resorting to physical attacks only because they don’t want to waste water.’
“Remember this, listen well! Salamanders are very dangerous monsters.”
The only thing Wolfgang could do was to teach the students in class that this monster was dangerous. All he could do was repeat and remind the students of the important point three times to prevent noble sons not born in borderlands from inadvertently underestimating and getting carried away when encountering such monsters.

“Pardon, Nee-sama. I have some minor business to attend to…”
After Monster Science, everyone had lunch in the cafeteria and was about to head to the courtyard like usual when William told Emma he wouldn’t be going with them.
“Hm? Again?”
“Yes. I will be sure to make it for the next class, so…”
Without giving further explanation of what business he had, William left the cafeteria in a hurry.
“William-sama is often not with us during lunch break recently, isn’t he?”
Francesca trailed the departing William with her eyes in wonder.
“Well, William-kun might feel ill at ease in the company of older young ladies. He is probably spending lunch break with male students closer to his age, no? My older brother and His Highness Edward have also been absent from class due to official duties these days…”
Marion showed her understanding as she looked in the direction William left.
“ “Hmm…” ”
George and Emma tilted their heads in sync. Even if Marion and the others “appeared” to be older, these two siblings felt that William, with his past life memories as a 30-something dude with an Afro, would still consider everyone younger than him…
“I just hope he isn’t up to something strange…”
‘I have zero faith in Peita after all~’ Emma started harboring more doubt toward her younger brother in their past world, but
“Ah, Emma-sama. I brought macarons today.”
“Macarons?! Everyone, let’s move to the courtyard right away, shall we?”
A sentence from Joshua changed Emma’s interest from William to macarons at once.
