Chapter 141
Chapter 141
[Kitsu POV]
“hey hey, kitsu, I think that’s enough. I am fully healed.” Kayda complained, trying to get me off her lap.
“no, not yet,” I said, still holding my cut hand over the gunshot wound on her leg.
“ugh, it was healed, but you rip it open every time, and it hurts, you know,” Kayda whined uncomfortably.
“what are you talking about? I am not re-opening your wound.” I said, taking my nail and cutting a small hole in Kaydas thigh.
“... Kitsu,” Kayda said, making my ears jolt.
“I will stop now,” I said, giving kayda thigh another squeeze before standing up.
“Thank you,” Kayda said, standing up as well.
.....
“Uh, I was the one who did it, so I need to take responsibility,” I said with a cheeky wink.
“Sigh you, take responsibility?” Kayda said, looking at me, surprised.
“What? Don’t be so mean now,” I whined, saddened.
“I am only stating the truth,” Kayda said, shrugging.
“The truth, my ass. I always take responsibility for my wrongdoings.” I said with a cheeky grin.
“What, like blowing it up or destroying all the evidence that you were involved,” Kayda said, baffled at my response.
“... Kayda, that is taking responsibility, you know,” I said, looking at her confused.
“no, it’s not. that’s just dumping your problems onto another.” Kayda said, face-palming herself.
“... that’s true, isn’t it,” I said with a thoughtful expression.
“of course, it’s true. I don’t say any lies,” KAyda said, having a cheeky grin again.
“...” not saying anything, I stared at her doubtfully.
“... don’t look at me. I always tell the truth,” Kayda complained, looking uncomfortable.
“...”
“fine! I might have lied a few times to you, but I never lied to anyone else!”
“...”
“fine, I lie a lot more than I like to admit, okay,” Kayda said, frustrated.
“I am disappointed,” I said, narrowing my eyes at Kayda.
“... sorry.”
“to think you thought something like that even mattered to people,” I said, shaking my head at her.
“... I hate you,” Kayda mumbled, looking away from me.
“heh, but you said you loved me,” I said with a cheeky grin on my face.
“Ugh.” Ignoring me, kayda turned around, walking towards the two Anabalds in the barrier.
“Hey, don’t ignore me,” I whined, jumping on her back. Luckily her wings weren’t out anymore, making it easy to job to jump on her back.
“kitsu, you going to make me fall if you do that,” Kayda whined while getting her balance back.
“don’t make it sound like something like that will hurt you,” I said, shaking her a bit.
“kitsu.”
“Sorry, that sound better in my head,” I said, embarrassed.
“how?”
“I don’t know.”
“sigh, whatever least I know you didn’t mean to not care.”
“peck, of course, I care a lot about my girlfriend,” I said, kissing kayda neck a few times.
“tsk, you’re so annoying.”
“oh, sorry,” I said, saddened, letting go of kayda.
“I am not mad at you. Just think about where you do some things, okay.” Kayda said, grabbing my hand and looking away from me.
“Hmm,” confused at her words, I looked in the same direction to see Katie and An looking at us with awkward expressions.
“please do learn how to hold back.” An said, sounding quite annoyed.
“R-right.” I stuttered, embarrassed.
“Well, anyways, kayda, seeing as your girlfriend is a sage, teach her how to make a mana-field.” An suggested looking at Kayda and then me.
“a what?” Katie and I said, confused.
“mana carpet.” An said, clearing Katie’s confusion but not mine.
“oh, right, that.”
“still lost here,” I said, still confused.
“Kayda, haven’t you explained that to her?”
“well, no, she doesn’t have the mana control needed to make it,” Kayda said, defensive looking between An and me.
“... I see, but her mana control in the spar was quite good enough to start learning about it. If you don’t think so, then at least tell her how it works and how to make it.” An explained, looking at KAyda, waiting for an answer.
“she isn’t ready,” Kayda said shortly.
“Just tell her the basics.” An countered with a raised eyebrow.
“... I am not allowed to teach too much, though,” Kayda mumbled loud enough for everyone to hear though.
“Kayda, at this point, it sounds like you don’t want to teach me anything,” I said with a small chuckle.
“Of course, I don’t want to.”
“Why, though?” I said, surprised my teas was true.
“Hmph!”
‘Wait, does she think that I will neglect her again if I find something to train again?’ I thought, looking at kayda, who glared at me again.
“Okay, okay, how about you make a schedule for me from when I am allowed to train or not,” I said with a smile.
“what?” All three of them said in unison, surprised for some reason.
“You don’t want to teach me because you think I will neglect you again, right? Then come up with a schedule for me where I can’t do that.” I said, looking at the three surprised people, a bit confused.
‘Why are they so confused. Didn’t I just explain why?” I thought, getting more confused the longer they just stared at me.
“... There is no way,” Katie mumbled, surprised and confused.
“what’s wrong.”
“Kitsuna, Uhm, just a question are you not the dominant type of person?” An asked hesitantly.
“huh?”
“wait, An don’t say that.” Kayda
“you! This. Ugh!!” Understanding what An meant, I didn’t know how to defend myself.
“she broke,” Katie mumbled, looking at me, surprised.
“Sigh, wait for it,” Kayda said with her head in her hands just in time to see my figure turn into red mist.
[Kayda Pov]
“sigh, I guess I will need to go find her,” I mumbled disappointedly.
“wait, what just happened.” An said with a tilted head, looking at me confused.
“As you can see, Kitsu doesn’t actually mind taking second priority in some instances. Relationships being one of them.” I explained, sighing again.
“But, but I never got that feeling that she is one. Only that she must be the most important person.” Katie said with a thoughtful expression.
“sigh, I guess you still have a lot to learn. She loves attention, yes, but she never wanted to be the most important person that will only be a hassle in many ways.” I explained, making An nod in understanding.
“in what way will give that hassles?” Katie asked, still confused.
.....
“more responsibilities for one,” I said shortly.
“uh, that does make sense. So she’s actually lazy?” An added, making me nod.
“no far from it. just self-centred in some ways and not so much as you think.” I said, shaking my head, and seeing her confused again.
“I am so lost right now.”
“huh, you didn’t understand my explanation? Hmm, how to make it easier to understand.”
“no, no, just leave it. I don’t want to know anymore,” Katie said, lifting her hands in the air and giving up.
“If you say so,” I said, shrugging.
“So why don’t you want to teach her about mana fields?”
“hmm, why do you think,” I said, disappointed.
“She hit the nail on the head?” An question not very certain about it.
“... Sigh, yes, she will go off running to train for who knows how many days without rest,” I said, frustrated, having bad memories of her doing so.
“She is a primordial, so she doesn’t actually need rest.”
“I don’t care if she is a primordial or not. She needs rest.... everyone needs rest,” I said, making it clear I didn’t want to debate on it.
“and some dragon needs attention.” An teased, making me glare at her.
“...”
“Pfft.” An laughed, failing to hide it.
“An, last warning.” I said, giving,
“okay~.”
“uh.” Katie nodded.
“Anyways, what are you guys planning now.”
“not so sure, might go to the Kunis domain and then back to the draigs. before going back to the capital for the tournament.”
“Oh, you going to the Kuni?” An said, happier than she should be.
“Yeah, just to let kitsu meet them as part of the draig family and all,” I said, not looking forward see the dwarfs.
“ah, politics.”
“In a way, yes.”
“sounds troublesome.” An said, making me nod.
“the same thing kitsu would have said if she was here,” I said, sighing.
“well, can I ask a favour of you two then?” An said sheepishly.
“what is it?” I said, narrowing my eyes at her.
“Hey, don’t look at me like that.” An said, surprised at my glare.
“...”
“it’s the devil cult. All-”
“they came from their territory, right?”
“Y-yes, how did you.”
“do you think I have been doing nothing the last few weeks?” I said, sounding a bit offended.
‘Actually, that damn bandit gave me all the information.’ I thought, disgusted that they got it before me.
“no, I just didn’t think you knew.” An said, rubbing her head awkwardly.
“Well, now you know. Though I have info that they came from the demon kingdom, not just the Kunis.” I said, shaking my head.
