Chapter 17 – Little Cutie (4)

Chapter 17 – Little Cutie (4)

Xi Yun struggling for a little bit. Baffled, He Qingwan looked at him and he explained, “I haven’t changed out of my shoes yet.”

He had been walking outside for a long time, and the bottom of his shoes must be dirty. Su Tian’s house looked so cleaned, he didn’t want to track dirt into her house.

Truth was, he already did. There was already a few black shoe prints by the front door.

Xi Yun lowered his head even more.

He Qingwan took a look at the shoe rack; they don’t have slippers for kids. And adult ones were too big for him, she didn’t want him to trip and fall...

She was just about to say that wasn’t necessary, she could just mop again later, when Su Tian suddenly and quietly removed her own slippers from her feet. She pulled Xi Yun to the front of the shoe rack and said to him, “My house is pretty clean, are you alright not wearing shoes at all?”

Xi Yun blushed and nodded. Su Tian took his pencil case from him and watched Xi Yun as he bent over to unlace his shoes.

He Qingwan looked at Su Tian proudly. Their Tiantian is the BEST! Every time she was out of ideas, Su Tian was always able to come up with something witty.

Yes, it’s not polite to have him walked around barefoot, but he was just a child. And she had just finished mopping and, truth be told, not exactly looking forward to doing it again.

If Wang Huxue was here, she would probably looked at Su Tian the same way that He Qingwan was looking at her – with sparkling eyes.

Xi Yun took his shoes off and walked around barefoot just like Su Tian. Xi Yun felt lucky that he had put on new socks and shoes today; otherwise the pretty girl might not even invite him over to her house again because of his smelly feet.

Su Tian had Xi Yun sit down and watch TV outside in the living room while she pushed He Qingwan into the kitchen, “Mom, I am so hungry!”

He Qingwan, “Okay, what would you like to eat?” Then, turning toward Xi Yun, she asked, “And Xiao Yun, what would you like to eat. Just tell me, aunty will make it for you.”

Xi Yun glanced over at Su Tian and said, “I will just have the same thing as jie jie.”1

He felt embarrassed, he wanted to decline her offer but he was so hungry... He wondered if she’d make some desserts; he heard that her desserts were amazing....

Su Tian wasn’t hungry at all, but she only said that because she wanted Xi Yun to have some food. Little cutie was scrawny and small. Su Tian wanted him to have something nutritious. It wasn’t good to have desserts with an empty stomach.

Xi Yun pursed his lips, actually... meat wasn’t bad either...

He Qingwan poked Su Tian on her forehead and said, “So late in the night... alright!”

Giggling, Su Tian kissed He Qingwan on her cheek and said, “I’ll come help.”

Xi Yun quickly stood up and also wanted to help but He Qingwan declined help from the both of them.

“No need. I still have some spareribs from this morning. I just need to reheat them. Tiantian you stay and keep Xiao Yun company. We still have some milk and fruit, why don’t you bring some out for Xiao Yun...”

Su Tian acknowledged and brought out the snacks. The two chatted as they snacked on them.

Su Tian asked him, “How come you have so many others’ summer homework assignment?”

Xi Yun blushed and said, “School’s about to start and they haven’t done their homework yet. So they hired me to do it for them.”

Su Tian picked up one of the notebook and asked, “How much do you charge?”

Xi Yun, “Literature has more words, so $100 each. Math and English have less words, both are $80.”

Su Tian faked coughing to cover up her chuckle.

It seemed she had misunderstood, Little Cutie’s inclination toward money-making had developed already. He even had different pricing for different subjects!
