Yu Gangan’s voice contained a sense of disbelief, “I never imagined that Director Chen would be this nice. I still don’t know how to thank him.”

“That’s easy. After you get famous, come to our hospital and provide consultations once a week. Director Chen would be so happy that even his beard would be dancing,” Song Chabai could tell that Director Chen would never invest in a loss. If Gangan wasn’t capable, he would have never given her the opportunity.

“It doesn’t matter where I work; it’s all to save lives in the end. But for now, I need to learn from my seniors first. After I find my teacher, I’ll discuss everything with him,” Yu Gangan actually wanted to practice at a big hospital, but Yueming Hall needed a doctor first.

“Do you want to accept another teacher?”

“One can never have too many teachers.”

“Well, now that we’ve discussed your teacher, what about your husband?” Song Chabai was extremely curious and nosy. “Tell me honestly, do you really not remember that you have such a handsome husband?”

Yu Gangan shook her head, “I really don’t know him. Like you said, he’s really handsome. It’s not like I have face blindness; if I’ve seen him before, how could I forget him?”

“Could you have actually lost your memory?” Song Chabai asked curiously.

“No way!” Yu Gangan replied in certainty. “That’s enough, I’m not talking to you anymore. I’m almost home.”

Yu Gangan ended her call with Song Chabai.

It seemed, Song Chabai was successfully tricked by the man’s good looks. How deep were his schemes?

If Yu Gangan hadn’t sensed that he wasn’t out to hurt her, she would not have kept this mysterious man by her side.

Yu Gangan slowly walked towards her home.

The weather was getting cold and there was no one walking around outside her little estate.

As she walked, the street lamp above her head suddenly turned off and the entire estate was plunged into darkness.

The sudden blackout stunned Yu Gangan a little.

But, it seemed, it wasn’t just her estate, this entire side of the city was dark.

Yu Gangan used her phone as a torch and continued to walk forward.

After the blackout, the estate suddenly felt really quiet. Amidst this silence, Yu Gangan began to sense that there was someone following her. But, every time she turned around, there was no one in sight.

Her heart suddenly pounded as she sped up.

Yu Gangan bit her lip nervously.

Was she being paranoid because of the blackout? Was that why she thought something strange was following her?

A cold breeze swept past and Yu Gangan shivered. She tried to compose herself, but her footsteps subconsciously hastened.

As she reached the bottom of her apartment, all she had to do was walk around the car parked beside her and she’d be able to enter the building.

Yu Gangan subconsciously looked behind her one last time, not noticing the person in front of her.

All of a sudden, the two bodies collided.

Yu Gangan’s body toppled backwards as the person opposite her, stretched out his arm and wrapped it around her waist.

With a 360 degree turn, she ended up in the man’s arms.

Yu Gangan opened her eyes in surprise and looked up at the man before her, “Fang Zhihan?”

“Why are you in such a panic?” the man’s deep and charming voice resounded calmly as he helped her stand up straight.

Yu Gangan straightened her body and took a deep breath. Without replying, she asked, “There’s a blackout. Why are you out here?”

“We don’t have candles at home.”

“Oh, let’s go buy some then,” Yu Gangan didn’t want to return to the dark apartment on her own.
