Chapter 421 Pace Yourselves
"Why did you put us to sleep…" Henri said and then saw the monsters below. " That is what I wanted to ask, but it seems that we have other things to do."
"We will kill all of them; we can't afford to advance through the enemy's territory while risking the chance of being attacked from behind," Aion declared. "As usual, you guys will wait here and deal with them as I send them. The enemies shouldn't be aware that you are here with me, so I will only call you all at the right time."
Everyone nodded. The group's faces displayed a strong and unwavering resolve as they realized that the final battle was drawing near. Their expressions hardened, showing their determination and readiness. There was no time for doubts or questions, there is only do or do not.
The rest of the group, including seasoned warriors and brave allies, shared the same resolute expressions. Their eyes gleamed with a mix of anticipation and readiness. Each face portrayed a unique blend of determination, courage, and the weight of their responsibility.
The air was charged with a palpable sense of unity and purpose. There was no need for words as their resolute expressions spoke volumes about their shared commitment to the cause. The strength of their collective resolve formed an unbreakable bond, fueling their determination to face any challenges that lay ahead.
Aion opened the portal, and then he began to fall toward the desert. He was supposed to still have more than one hundred kilometers of land to cross… so it seemed that a disgusting number of monsters was waiting for him and the others.
"I thought that Vangel would be busy gathering the fragments of Tenebres, but it seems that he still found time to build some defenses… that asshole sure has the nerve to use my ancestors' homeland and their former city as his base," Aion there without trying to hide his anger.
When he was five hundred meters above them, the sand golems began to attack Aion. Sand spears that had the shape of tridents flew upward like there was no tomorrow.
Aion wanted to save energy since a long battle was waiting for him, but he didn't have a weapon to defend himself… he also returned the weapons to the death knights.
"Can't be helped; I suppose I should let a few of them hit me and then improve my Earth Resistance while testing my defenses as well," Aion thought.
As Aion plummeted toward the desert, he was suddenly struck by a barrage of sand spears. Instinctively, he raised his arms to shield himself, absorbing the impact of the projectiles. The force of the attack jolted through his body, causing pain to radiate from his wounded arms.
Aion winced as the sharp sand spears cut into his flesh, leaving behind shallow cuts and a stinging sensation. Despite the pain, he clenched his teeth and remained determined to push forward. The sight of his blood mingling with the desert sand only fueled his resolve.
With each passing moment, Aion's descent slowed, partially thanks to the resistance provided by the sand spears hitting his arms. The pain throbbed, but he gritted his teeth and focused on regaining control. His determination overpowered the discomfort, propelling him to fight against the downward pull and regain stability.
"As expected, my defenses are better than the power level of most monsters," Aion thought.
Even before he could land, Aion moved some of the monsters with Spatial Shifting. He just opened a portal in the middle of the area and made them fall into it.

…
"I don't know if they are working quite fast or if the flow of time is that insane inside by now…" Aion furrowed his eyebrows.
Before long, Aion makes all the enemies in the area disappear; before he goes to check things inside his pocket dimension, he sees his other plan starting to work.

"They finally arrived and are acting…" Aion thought.
Using the speedster, Aion decided to make all of his death knights hunt in the most dangerous dungeons in the area. He needed that much to level up even faster, after all.
In any case, Aion entered his pocket dimension and then frowned a lot of sand around, and his brothers gathered a bunch of magic stones at the top of them.
"What is this?" Aion asked.
"They are the magic cores of the sand golems," Henri replied.
Aion frowned when he heard that… that kind of thing was the best to make his class improve faster by unlocking the max level of refinement… it seemed that the enemy didn't know everything about him, apparently… otherwise, they wouldn't send that kind of monster that was like fuel for his powers.
"... Put them in the same place; I can use them," Aion said. "I will keep advancing and sending more of those things. So pace yourselves; it will be better if you take turns, actually."
That was difficult since there wasn't anything that they could use there to rest, and the fights were too noisy. It was a pity, but Aion didn't have time to customize the Pocket dimension.
Nevertheless, Aion resumed the run, and just as he had expected, more sand golems blocked the way. They showed up for around twenty kilometers before a new type of monster showed up. Giant scorpions.
Toweringly large scorpions dominate the desert landscape, their formidable presence impossible to ignore. These creatures possess a dark, rugged brown exoskeleton, giving them a menacing appearance. As they move, the ground trembles beneath the weight of their massive pincers and stinging tails.
What sets these scorpions apart is their unique method of attack. Instead of traditional stingers, their tails have evolved into deadly weapons that resemble powerful cannons. Positioned at the tail's tip are specialized openings, ready to unleash their toxic payload.
