The Strongest Conquest System

Chapter 403: Divine Leviathan

....

"..."

After staring at the colossal mage tower in the distance for a second, Azmond focused his gaze on a series of blue cobblestoned walls that encapsulated the Royal Capital of AquaRing for an untold number of miles.

These walls were hundreds of miles in height, making them many times bigger than the enormous ones that protected the City of RiverBloom from monster attacks!

However, seeing these walls being stacked up so high only made Azmond curious about what exactly the higher-ups of AquaRing were attempting to keep out

"Well Regardless of what the purpose of these walls is, let's just go through them and see what lies beyond."

Azmond's voice echoed out as the girls gave their opinions on the matter before they all approached what appeared to be a guard station.

And just like last time

"Halt!"

A guard in colorful blue armor shouted out, his body phasing into sight not long after.

Azmond felt a sense of deja vu as he awaited the guard to continue his dialogue.

And it didn't take long before the guard clicked his tongue and spat, "Another demon kin?"

"You guys have been migrating from the Flamecrest Empire a lot as of late. Was that defeat at the Starry Seaboard not enough to make your kind realize that you're outmatched when pitted against us humans!?" The guard added with clear disdain in his tone.

"???" Azmond wasn't expecting this from the guard, but he regained clarity and asked, "What happened to the demon race?"

"You don't even know what happens to your own people?

Are you an oblivious one or something!?" The guard scoffed but decided to answer anyway, as he said, "The demon race lost, and the Celestial Academy masters are looking to take over all the territory that the demons own on the Inferno God Continent."

He caught his breath for a second before he added, "However, the Divine Leviathan that owns half the Inferno God Continent is putting up quite the resistance to the matter involving the demon race's nigh extinction order."

The guard sneered a little when recalling that the human race was being challenged.

However, it only took a moment before he said, "Nonetheless, the Celestial Academy Masters and the rest of the human race masters are putting extreme pressure on the Leviathan. And if all goes well, then your race will be on its last legs within 6 years!"

Azmond ignored the rude remarks made by the guard and thought, 'If what he says is true, then it looks like the humans are pretty well off in Asterion.'

His expression morphed a little before he replied, "Cool. Now can you check my identity token so I can get into the city?"

The guard looked at Azmond like he was looking at an idiot before he sneered, "You wish to get into the Royal City with your meager race!?"

"Yes." Azmond responded dryly with a raised hand.

A few figures behind him immediately halted their actions as Qi started to dissipate from their outstretched palms.

Clawdia and a number of the other women were about to strike the guard down for speaking to Azmond in such a way. And they likely would have if not for Azmond's hand motion.

*Shiver!*

"???" The guard shuddered as he felt that something was up.

But when he saw the smiling eyes through Azmond's wolf mask, his nerves seemed to calm down a little.

Following his assuaging, Azmond lifted his hand and said, "Here, catch."

*Toss*

A token flew through the air and landed in the trembling hands of the guard.

"???" The guard looked at the platinum Adventurer Token in his hand and suddenly got a bad feeling.

"Th-This is" He muttered with a shaky tone, trepidation visible in his countenance.

"Yes, that is my SS-Rank Adventurer Token," Azmond said with a wide smirk behind his mask.

"I-I see" The guard put his hands on his face before he swiped them down and put on the biggest smile he could muster.

"You may pass through whenever you please, kind sir!" He spoke with a rubbing of his hands.

Azmond observed the trembling smile of the guard and became a little creeped out, so he replied, "Okay."

If he were being honest, he wanted to get away from the guard as soon as possible

So following his simple response, Azmond, along with the rest of the women in his party, had already walked through a small opening in the grandiose city gates.

*Drip Drip*

Sweat fell down the guards face as he saw the Tribulation Transcendence Realm demon cultivator leave.

He really thought he was about to die right there! In fact, he was pretty sure that a little bit of piss had started to leak down his leg!

"...I should be more careful with my words from now on" The guard muttered with a despondent tone as he returned to his post.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the gate, a few hundred figures were being led by a tall, demon-like man with a wolf mask on.

FWIP!

A woman with long grayish white hair and misty eyes suddenly phased beside the man with a wolf mask and said, "For a mere Nascent Soul Realm guard, he sure had some guts to be speaking to people in such a way!"

Clawdia scoffed before she turned her head away with a pout.

She really wanted to kill that man for the way he was talking to her mate! But she was abruptly stopped by her mate just as she was about to take the guard's head off his shoulders!

Such pent-up frustration was annoying Clawdia a little as she held her slender arms under her perky slopes with her fluffy cat tail swinging in the air behind her.

"..." Azmond looked at this sight and saw her tail fluff around a little.

And it was at that moment that he knew what he had to do!

*Poke*

He floofed the tail!

"Eek~!" Clawdia shrieked a little as she jumped up in fright with crimson-colored cheeks.

"Y-You" She mumbled with an aggrieved expression.

"Instinct," Azmond immediately responded upon seeing that look on her face.

"...Instinct?" Clawdia questioned.
