[“Today’s Sunday. Looks like you’re free!”] he teased.

Cao Shaoyang laughed lightly. [“Exactly, it’s Sunday. I couldn’t wait to come find you!”].

[“Hehehe!”] Aunt Yu Wei’s soft, melodious laughter came through the call. [“Did you miss me, or are you up to no good?”].

Although their chats had been casual at first, Aunt Yu Wei’s playful, seductive nature gradually surfaced.

She’d often tease him with suggestive comments or even send him daring selfies, especially when she learned he was still in school and couldn’t visit her easily. Sometimes, she’d send such photos even during his classes, catching him off guard with her unpredictable antics.

If he had to worry about college entrance exams, she might have caused his grades to plummet. Luckily, he didn’t need to stress about that, partly because he let her think he wasn’t a senior in high school.

[“What? You’re coming here? I’m still in my work uniform. It’s not convenient to hang out like this. How about you wait for a bit? I’ll go home and change.”].

Hearing that Aunt Yu Wei was in her work uniform, Cao Shaoyang perked up, pretending to be surprised. [“Oh no, that might not work! I’m in a cab and will be at Wanda soon.”].

There was a brief pause on the other end as Aunt Yu Wei considered the scene of a handsome young man picking her up from work. Finally, she relented.

[“Fine. I’ll wait for you.”].

[“Mm! Bye-bye!”]

[“Bye! See you soon.”].

The driver glanced at the boy in the back seat, who had just ended his WeChat voice chat, and started a casual conversation.

“Kid, your aunt sure treats you well. Skipping work just to hang out with you! Where are you headed? Want me to wait after you pick her up and take you both somewhere else?”

Cao Shaoyang was speechless. This driver was really business-savvy, trying to get more fares wherever he could.

Although the driver was enthusiastic, Cao Shaoyang politely declined. The man’s eagerness was a bit too much for him to handle.

After repeatedly claiming he’d arrive soon, it still took over 20 minutes before Cao Shaoyang finally paid the fare and stepped out of the cab.

When he spotted Aunt An Yu Wei again, she was still her usual adorable, doll-faced self, with her captivating charm and a figure that could stop traffic. But now, under the curious gazes of her colleagues, her face carried a slight pout, making her look even more like a “bun-face.”

Maintaining a warm and familiar demeanor, she naturally looped her arm around Cao Shaoyang’s and smiled. “This is my relative’s child who came to pick me up. Ladies, I’m heading off now. See you tomorrow!”
