The Peak of Alchemy & Martial

Chapter 25

C25 – Pill Refining for His Sister

Shortly, the maid presented several Spiritual Plants, neatly arranged in a small wooden box.

“These are all healing herbs. Has someone been hurt?”

“Yes,” Yun Haoyan confirmed with a nod, accepting the Spiritual Plants. His sister, Yun Tiantian, still bore injuries, and he had no time to dawdle.

In Yun Haoyan’s bedroom within the Yun family estate.

A violet flame materialized out of thin air, drawing the Spiritual Plants toward it as if they were moths entranced by its glow.

Upon contact with the flame, the plants transformed into multicolored beads.

Despite having witnessed her brother’s pill refining before, Yun Tiantian’s amazement remained as intense as ever.

She had never heard of anyone capable of refining pills midair.

Amidst her astonishment, the pills were swiftly concocted.

“One, two, three… twenty,” Yun Tiantian murmured, delighting in counting the pills as one would count Spirit Stones.

“Brother, you’ve crafted another twenty pills,” she exclaimed with joy.

“And look at the intricate patterns on these pills. One, two, three… eight… nine.”

“Nine distinct patterns – these are Perfect first grade pills. They’re absolutely stunning.”

“They truly are Perfect first grade pills!”

Yun Tiantian held one of the pills in her hand, her gaze filled with wonder.

The more intricate the patterns on a pill, the more valuable and challenging it was to produce.

And here were Perfect first grade pills, which, despite being of the initial grade, were exceedingly rare and complex to create.

She was aware that the Alchemist from the Bian family was the sole publicly recognized alchemist in Silkbarrow City. His finest pills bore no more than four patterns.

Yet such an alchemist was the Bian family’s prized jewel, held in the highest esteem.

If the Bian family knew her brother could produce Perfect pills, they’d likely weep and plead for forgiveness, sparing the Yun family any further trouble.

Yun Haoyan smiled, affectionately ruffling his sister’s hair. “This pill is for you to take. Go on, try it!”

“Okay!” Yun Tiantian beamed, popping the pill into her mouth. A sweet, aromatic flavor enveloped her taste buds. “Delicious, truly delicious!”

Yun Haoyan chuckled and remarked, “You complained about the bitterness of that black pill last time, so I went ahead and added a sweet Spiritual Plant this time around.”

Yun Tiantian nodded with a grin, “You’re the best, brother. You know I can’t stand bitter tastes.”

Yun Haoyan laughed and teased, “What, you think I’m concocting these pills just to make you candy? Take a good look at your face.”

Yun Tiantian quickly pulled out the small mirror she always carried and inspected her face with great attention.

The redness and swelling that had marred her complexion were rapidly fading away. Before long, her clear and rosy cheeks were once again reflected back at her.

“You’re amazing, brother! You’re my favorite. My pretty face is back!” Yun Tiantian exclaimed, jumping up and down with joy and twirling around in her excitement.

She had resolved to stay indoors until the swelling on her face had subsided.

Little did she expect that her brother’s alchemy skills were so advanced that a few simple ‘sugar beans’ would restore her complexion.

“All these pills are yours. Take your time with them—one a day. I know you’re not fond of training, but besides healing, these pills are extremely beneficial for your health.

“You’re currently at level eight of the Body Refining Stage. Once you’ve finished these pills, you should be ready to ascend to the Martial Warrior Stage,” Yun Haoyan said, smiling.

His sister’s playful nature had led her to neglect her training, leaving her at level eight of the Body Refining Stage. But these pills would do more than just heal her facial injuries; they would also enhance her cultivation level.

Hearing that she could improve her cultivation level and potentially reach the Martial Warrior Stage, Yun Tiantian asked excitedly, “Really? I can get to the Martial Warrior Stage after finishing them? Does that mean no more lugging around heavy stones?”

Carrying stones was indeed the most fundamental method of body refining cultivation.
