Chapter 21
C21 – Sealed
“Boss, how much for this one?” Yun Haoyan inquired.
He was determined to purchase the beautiful garment for his sister, Yun Tiantian. The cost in Spirit Stones was of no consequence to him; her happiness was all that mattered.
“It’s quite reasonable,” the shop owner assured with a smile. “For a lovely lady like her, I’m happy to offer a special price.”
“How does three hundred medium grade Spirit Stones sound?”
Yun Tiantian gasped in astonishment. “Three hundred medium grade Spirit Stones?” She had braced herself for a hefty price tag, but this was beyond her wildest expectations.
“Let’s not bother, we’re not buying it,” she decided, heading towards the changing room to take off the dress.
After all, three hundred medium grade Spirit Stones was a fortune, equivalent to half a year’s income for the Yun family.
Yun Haoyan gently held his sister back from changing out of the dress and addressed the shop owner, “We’ll take this one. And please, select a few more of the same quality for us.”
“Brother, where did you get so many Spirit Stones?” Yun Tiantian asked, her beautiful eyes wide with wonder.
“Just give me a moment, and I’ll have everything ready for you,” the shop owner replied, unconcerned about the source of the payment.
Yun Haoyan grinned, “I have plenty of Spirit Stones. If it makes you happy, I’d buy the whole of Silkbarrow for you.”
“What do you think of this dress? It’s two hundred medium grade Spirit Stones and suits her perfectly,” the shop owner suggested, presenting a pink dress.
“Wrap it up,” Yun Haoyan instructed.
“And this purple one, it’s also a good match.”
“That one too.”
“And this one?”
“Wrap them all up.”
Before long, the boutique had run out of dresses that would fit Yun Tiantian.
“Let’s see, your total comes to two thousand three hundred medium grade Spirit Stones, but I’ll round it down to an even two thousand for you,” the shop owner offered with a friendly smile.
With the sale of these dresses, she’d need to restock with more high-end merchandise. They had just purchased the finest attire in her store.
Last year’s total sales at the shop didn’t even come close to what we’ve done in just today.
What’s more, these upscale garments rake in much more profit than the regular clothing we carry.
“Here are two thousand medium-grade Spirit Stones!” Yun Haoyan declared, as he gestured and two thousand Spirit Stones materialized on the counter.
“Space Equipment!” Both the shop owner and Yun Tiantian were astounded.
Space Equipment was exceedingly rare; the Yun family didn’t possess any. Typically, only Martial Cultivators of the Grand Martial Master Realm had such items.
And Yun Haoyan’s Space Equipment was a ring, making it all the more extraordinary.
The shop owner’s demeanor shifted to one of heightened reverence. “Your Spirit Stones have been received. Here are your clothes.”
Yun Haoyan nodded in acknowledgment and stowed the clothes in his space ring.
“Brother, where did you get this Space Equipment?” Yun Tiantian couldn’t contain her curiosity once they stepped out of the clothing store.
Yun Haoyan touched his nose, smiling slightly. “It was a gift from my master.”
“Your master must be incredibly strong,” Yun Tiantian remarked, her eyes wide with wonder.
“He is,” Yun Haoyan confirmed, as the image of his master filled his thoughts.
It was during the darkest of nights that their clan was decimated by the Qiu family, his parents sacrificing themselves so he could flee.
Thanks to their sacrifice, he managed to escape.
But the image of his parents’ deaths plunged him into the depths of despair.
It was then that he encountered his master.
His master became the beacon of hope in his darkest hour, the reason he persevered.
Without his master, there would be no ‘Emperor’ to later send tremors across the continent.
“Master, just wait. I’ll come for you tonight.”
