The Mysterious Black Magician

Chapter 335 - Everyone’s Conjectures

As expected, Klein easily dodged it. However, Julie's attack surprised all the people present. Klein himself was included in it. No one had expected Julie was capable of such an attack. No wonder she used such heavy armor in this match. So that is her aim from the start.

After Klein evaded, he was surprised again.

"What?! She stopped her momentum just like that?!" Klein grimaced upon seeing Julie's figure stopped just a few steps away from him, as though her rushing-attack a moment ago was just an illusion.

Where is the inertia!!! He wanted to question the law of physics regarding it. Regardless, they are magicians who are capable of opposing the law of science, so it was useless to question it.

Julie curved in a ball shape once again and started rolling in his direction..

"F*ck this boulder!" He bellowed. Then he summoned more mana and fired vortexes to the approaching enemy.

The rolling Julie evaded it by moving in a zigzag manner.

Woohoo!

The audience's spirits rose as they shouted cheerfully. They never expected that it would turn out to be an interesting match. They originally thought it would be an easy fight, especially that it was a match between a D class and an Elite class.

"Looks like it's really true that there's gold in a pile of garbage, fufu," one of the VIPs muttered and laughed. He was staring at Julie with gleaming eyes.

Somewhere in the corner of VIP toom, 'Tsk!' Principal Kim secretly clicked his tongue while anxiously gripping his MTMD in hand. Looking at him, he seemed restless.

On the stage, Julie continued chasing after Klein, who is so nimble in evading her approach.

But, right at this moment, Klein grinned. Then it was followed by a dull sound of a crash.

Thud!

Ehhhhh!!!

Everyone looked at the figure of Julie who bumped into something.

"Gyahahaha! Hehehe!"

Klein suddenly guffawed.

"It was an Invisible Wall!" The commentator Mora Liz announced.

Just as she said, Klein secretly created the Invisible Wall somewhere on the stage to block Julie's route.

Thanks to her armor and Fortification ability, the collision did not damage her greatly. However, with those Invisible Walls on stage, her rolling ability would become useless.

Julie shook her head to get rid of the dizziness she was currently feeling after the collision. She did not expect that this idiot was a sly one.

She looked around. For some reason, her opponent suddenly disappeared from her sight.

"Hey, hey, muscle woman, are you looking for me? Unfortunately, I know what you're aiming for. You want to provoke me to waste my mana, huh!"

"Haha, I never thought this idiot had the brain to figure it out," Kiko smugly laughed, emphasizing that he figured it out much sooner.

Almina and Maena glanced at Yman. "Is it true?" Almina asked him. She wondered if Yman thought the same. However, Yman shook his head. "No, it isn't her plan," he said in a calm voice. But it was enough for Kiko to hear.

"What, you bastard, did you mean my conjecture is a mistake?" Kiko suddenly got angry. He thought that Yman was saying nonsense just to embarrass him.

"Haha," Yman chuckled wryly from Kiko's question and thought Kiko was an idiot. He had no reason to explain to this man. He's not even talking to him. But for Almina's sake, "I don't mean that. I don't mean that your conjecture is wrong. I mean, it's also one of her reasons, but her real intention is not that," He said nonchalantly.

On the other side of Almina, Kesha was wondering what Yman was trying to say. It was clear that Miss Julie was aiming to exhaust Klein's mana.

Rei-Rei and the others were just listening to them in silence. It was more beneficial to them if they quarreled. Not that they cared about it. But, for some reason, she was intrigued by Yman's words.

"Ows? Then, if my conjecture is right on the spot, will you be so kind to leave this academy?" Kiko suddenly pulled out a game of betting.

"That's! What are you asking?" Almina was the first to react which caused a twitch on Kiko's brow.

Though, Yman just laughed at it. "So, did you forget our initial bet?"

Kiko's face turned red in fury upon remembering it. Right, they already had betted that whoever lost in this competition would leave the academy. Their only chance was to win the championship.

While trembling in fury, Kiko gave up. "I see. Just make sure you will leave after this."

He believed that there's no way for Yman to win this competition. Kiko would make sure that he would be the champion.

Just a little more time.

He could not lose his cool. Kiko fell silent once again. But he still believed that his conjecture was right.

Wait. In this case, if his conjecture was right, then Yman would still embarrass himself later on. So it was still good for Kiko.

Hehe. He laughed.

Seeing that Kiko already backed down, Yman did not pursue the topic and returned his gaze to the monitor.

On the stage, Julie immediately tenses upon hearing Klein. She looked to where the voice came from and saw Klein jumping in the air.

"Waaaaawww! Littlegiant is using Invisible Platform to maneuver in mid-air! Such a high-level ability! As expected of a person from the beastmen tribe!" Mora Liz was amazed as she shouted Klein's new codename in this match.

Truly, everyone was greatly anticipating the current match.

Unbeknown to Klein, boulders were flying in his direction.

"Wha-whaa-what!!!" He clumsily dodged those boulders.

He also heard Julie shout the words Boulder Bullets.

Perhaps, it was her ability. Looks like Julie had the affinity of earth elements.

One boulder coming his way was impossible to dodge. "Dammit!" He swore under his breath. Then flung his claws to the approaching boulder. The boulder split in two and disappeared like dust.

Their battle continued and both parties threw their attacks. Julie continued provoking him to fire high-level attacks, then she countered them using the little advantage she had.

Well, in truth, there wasn't even an advantage in terms of power and mana. She was greatly at a disadvantage in this match. It was only natural since she was fighting against an opponent from the elite class. That's why instead of focusing on improving her low agility, she decided to max out her defense as much as she could because her only chance in this match was to provoke her opponent and lose his focus.

But even so, it was still a difficult task to defeat such a strong opponent without a miracle.

Yman who was watching the match understood the situation. That's why he secretly admired Julie's resolution. Even with such a gap in their mana capacity, she was able to corner Klein several times.

Thanks to his nimbleness and tricky abilities, he was able to escape from Julie's grasp.

Their battle continued and the time was clicking every second, nearing its end.

Julie's figure at this moment was now littered with wounds and bruises. But even after receiving such insanely strong attacks, her health points remained above 50 percent. Though, it's currently decreasing little by little.

If only she had the same mana capacity as Klein, she would have a great chance of winning. But, the disparity of D and Elite was just too great. Most of the onlookers who understood it felt regret. The two of them did a great job in the match. They show unique abilities and that was the first time they saw it.

It was a feast in the eyes and most of the audience were delighted with it. Thankfully they came to watch this competition. They initially had no high hopes for this competition as it was competition from a backwater academy. But now everyone was delighted that they chose to watch it.

Nonetheless, it wouldn't change the fact that Julie was losing the match. That's why everyone was dumbfounded when the match ended after the timer hit zero.

"The winner, Sweetchocobo!"

WHAAAAAAAT!!!

Looking at the monitor, no doubt Klein the Littlegiant won in terms of health points. His health points were still 100 percent while Julie's health points were 15 percent left. She even barely remained standing. On the contrary, Klein was lying on the ground, exhausted.

"Ugh, that's what he got for escaping his training."

Rei-Rei mumbled regretfully. In their party, Klein was the laziest one. He barely trained his body, that's why his stamina wasn't so good.

Although his mana and abilities were no doubt of elite rank, his stamina was only comparable to C-class. More on that, executing high-level ability was very taxing in stamina.

Subconsciously, Rei-Rei's line of sight wandered to a specific person inside the waiting hall.

Julie's real intention wasn't to exhaust his mana, but to exhaust his STAMINA?!!

It also meant Yman's conjecture was right!

Did he see through it? How scary! Reid-Rei's thoughts.

Sonya and Ban were wondering why Miss Rei-Rei was staring at Yman. 'No way! No way! Did Miss Rei-Rei fall in love with him?' Sonya thought with a red face.

Kiko felt he just swallowed a bug.

Almina, on the other hand, felt so proud for some reason. Beside her, Maena secretly admired him.

Kesha didn't say anything. Fortunately, she remained quiet. She glanced at Kiko and noticed his bitter and embarrassed expression.

Yman just remained quiet.
