The Moon Thief

Chapter 53: Invitation From Friends

Chapter 53: Invitation From Friends

When Heinald arrived at his rented house, he immediately took the alchemical tools he had stored out of the dimensional pocket of his robe and placed them neatly. This robe, a relic from his grandfather, was by far the most useful item for him. Normally, carrying all these items with him would be a huge inconvenience for him, but thanks to the dimensional pocket of his robe, he always seemed to carry a huge warehouse with him.

"I wonder how is my grandfather?" Heinald muttered. A long time had passed since he last saw his grandfather, and he was going to visit him at some free time.

After Heinald prepared all the alchemical tools and materials needed for potion making, he began experimenting. Making Spirit Potion wouldn't really compare to other potions. Despite having Moon Thief's eyes and a lot of knowledge and experience, he was still struggling. The materials he used for the Spirit Potion were much more expensive than other materials, so each failed experiment also caused him financial damage.

Most of them understood and agreed with why Ainsar did not approach Potion Brewing. If he didn't have the Moon Thief's Eyes, he would definitely not progress further in this area and he would start looking for an easier and cheaper area to specialize in.

Heinald experimented with his materials for days. Sometimes he hadn't slept at all for almost a week, and despite all his efforts, there was a slight problem in the process of making the potion, causing the whole potion to be destroyed. He was picturing the production process over and over again, fixing the error after identifying it, but this time another error was emerging. After 70 unsuccessful experiments in a row, he was finally able to craft his first spirit potion.

"Finally ready!" Heinald held up the little bottle in his hand. It had a dark blue liquid in it, that was his greatest achievement.

Spirit Poiton had been brewed successfully!

Heinald was able to successfully produce four more Spirit Potions using the remaining ingredients. The Spirit Poiton formula he had was a formula that would be somewhat effective even for Level 2 Ainsars. Of course it wouldn't be as effective on them in Level 1 Ainsar, but it would still have some effect.

"Well the big moment has come!" Heinald took one of the bottles in front of him and opened the cap. After taking a deep breath, he drank the whole potion at once.

At first he felt his whole body tingling. Then he began to feel as if all the blood was being drawn into the abdominal cavity. The waves of energy that were emerging inside him that circled his entire body at incredible speed began to appear. He was experiencing many strange emotions at the same time, as if his whole body was floating freely in a void, his body was quite calm, but his spirit was in chaos.

Heinald felt that he had to take control of the energy waves within the body immediately. If all the energy got stuck in a certain area, he would explode like a bomb. He quickly took a meditation position and put his whole mind inside his body. He focused all his attention on directing the energy that moved wildly through his body, trying to distribute the wild energy evenly throughout his body. Although it was difficult to control the energy at first, after a while it managed to spread the energy evenly like water filling a container.

When the wild energy waves stopped, he let out a deep breath and opened his eyes. When he exhaled, a blue vapor came out of his mouth and nose. Even though his body was relaxed, there was great disturbance in his spirit. He quickly began to meditate again. For about a day he did nothing else to calm his spirit.

"My Spiritual Power has increased exactly 10%!" Heinald smiled with satisfaction. This potion was really effective.

Heinald experienced the same process over and over again. His Spiritual Power increased by 50% in total after consuming all the potions. However, when he drank the last potion, he was sure that his body had developed complete resistance to the potion. Unfortunately, the potion wouldn't have any more effect.

"I feel quite different already, I am sure that the difference in the impact this huge increase in my spiritual power will have on the spells I cast will be huge." Heinald muttered. He wanted to do a few magic exercises, but he was not in a suitable environment.

This process had exhausted him, first, after a hot shower, he relaxed and began a meditation process that would last for days. The reason for doing this meditation was to balance the sudden surge of strength in your spirit. If he didn't do this, his spirit would be unstable, which could negatively affect his Magic Energy.

Heinald decided to end this process after a week of meditation. Because he had been meditating for a week without a break, every part of his body was afflicted and he felt intense hunger and thirst. As a Level 1 Ainsar, although his body was far superior to a normal person, he was still human and needed to meet his needs.

"The imbalance in my spirit has disappeared completely." Heinald focused on his spirit for a while and then displayed a relaxed smile.

After meeting his needs, he reviewed his plans for the future. He had removed the Spirit Potion, which occupied the biggest place among his plans. Undoubtedly, his power had grown enormously, but he still had a long way to go. He had in mind to prepare a new Spirit Potion using his theoretical knowledge of plants and various materials. Even though he had a lot of theoretical knowledge thanks to his unlimited memory, this information was definitely not enough to create a new Spirit Potion formula.

However, he had to find answers to some of the questions he had in his mind before working on a new Spirit Potion formula. First, the section on exactly what it does was incomplete, even though it had the production stages of Art of Spirit Binding, the technique he acquired in the ruins. In addition to the technique, there was the ring that he obtained with an Elemental King Phoenix Spirit. The only thing he could learn about this ring was that it swallowed the resources which contained intense Fire Element Energy.

This was an issue Heinald wanted to resolve. He knew he had a treasure but didn't know what it was for. But as far as he could foresee, if the Phoenix Spirit inside the ring swallowed enough of the Fire Element Energy, he could experience some kind of awakening.

The other question was about Mystical Energy. Although he received a very important legacy of knowledge from an ancient Ainsar, he still knew very little. As far as he understood, he had to go deep into his own spirit to reach Mystical Energy, but this was not something that could be achieved through meditation or cultivation. Astinuff had to craft Potion and consume it to go to the Spirits Realm.

"Heinald! Do you hear me?"

Heinald heard Dane's voice in his mind, immediately pulling the Communication Crystal from the pocket of his robe.

"Yes."

"Listen, the Magic Energy in these crystals is not much so we won't have much time. We are in Penrith Town, in the far south of the kingdom, where really interesting things are happening. Come if you can." Dane's voice was extremely serious.

"After completing my preparations, I will hit the road." Heinald answered after a short silence.

"We will wait for you."

Heinald brewed 3 bottles of Eitruis and Corrosive Poison Potion. In addition, there were 5 Low Level Fire Effect Potions that he always kept with him. Until now, he had not chosen to use potions in his battles because the enemies he encountered were either much stronger than him or were not worth consuming. Both options made it unreasonable to consume potions. However, he always kept various potions with him in case he encountered an enemy he would have difficulty defeating.

After completing his preparations, Heinald left Guljan Town and started traveling to Penrith Town, choosing the most safe routes to go. He reached the town after days of travel. There was a depressing air around, and there was a light fog curtain in the courtyards and alleys of the cottages. There were chickens and uneasy cats walking around. There was a slight wetness in the grass and weed next to the houses. The cool wind was blowing quietly as if it didn't want to wake someone up.

"Dark Energy ..." Heinald immediately sensed the Dark Energy surrounding the town area. However, this town was not the center of the energy. The town, as he observed, was a pretty quiet town, no one was visible outside, but the townspeople seemed to be at home.
