Chapter 45: Old Reulon
Chapter 45: Old Reulon
Heinald brewed potions without stopping until the next day. In his spare time sitting in the shop, he would think about concepts and principles about the Lightning Element and try to gain understanding on them. After all, most of his day was empty.
Heinald stored all the potions he had brewed in the dimensional pocket of his robe and began taking them to the store and showcasing them.
"Hello, young friend!" Heinald quit his job with the voice he heard and turned to where the voice came from.
"Welcome!" When Heinald looked in the direction from which the voice was coming from, he saw an old man and greeted him.
"You just opened this place?" The old man looked around and asked.
"Yes."
"Are you a Potions Master? You look pretty young." The old man looked at Heinald.
"I've been studying on potions since I was little." Heinald nodded.
"Oh, I understand ... I have to travel through a region considered dangerous, so I'm looking for potions that could help me." The old man started looking at the potions.
Heinald immediately went over to the old man and helped him choose potions that could help him. This old man was a Level 1 Ainsar, so he didn't prefer low level potions and decided to buy two Low Level Fire Effect Potions.
"My young friend, have you ever thought about going to Ruthas Academy?" The old man asked when he was paying.
"Hm? Ruthas Academy?" Heinald's eyebrows rose.
"Don't tell me you haven't heard of Ruthas Academy?" A surprised look appeared on the old man's face.
"I haven't heard ..." Heinald shook his head. He hadn't seen any information about this academy in any of the books he had read, and his grandfather hadn't told him anything about it. At least he didn't remember.
"It's the best academy on the continent. The most research about magic is done there, and since you're a Potion Master at this age, I think you can try your luck there." The old man is shrugged.
"I will remember your advice." Heinald nodded.
"What's your name, by the way, my young friend?" As the old man turned and was about to leave, he remembered at the last minute that he did not know the name of the young man in front of him.
"My name is Heinald, what's yours?"
"My name is Reulon, I mostly spend time in this town. It was nice to chat with someone young and talented like you. Unfortunately I have to go now." The old man bade farewell and left.
He had a few more customers that day. After winning a decent amount, he was in a good mood, fortunately the location of his shop was not in a remote location so he could attract the attention of Ainsars passing by.
One of the customers had offered him a low-level formation in exchange for the potion, but he refused. The information he would gain from the lower level formations would not be of use to him, he wanted information from the higher level formations.
Heinald left another month behind in Guljan Town. His newly opened shop was getting more and more popular and attracting more and more customers. Last month, he had sold a total of 10,000 Arkana Stones worth of potions. This is a much better profit than he expected. Of course, he was also preferred because he made the potions he made of higher quality than the standards thanks to the Moon Thief's eyes.
However, the thought that he should learn a new formula in his mind was getting more and more challenging. In the past months, he was continuing his research on plants as well as making potions. However, it took a lot of work and experimentation to produce a new formula or to improve an existing formula, based on the properties and effects of plants. Observing the combination of effects of so many herbs and controlling the emerging new effects was a very time, resource and energy consuming task.
Heinald was again traveling to Hunran City to buy new resources. In fact, everything was going as he wanted in his life. With potions, he gained more Arkana Stones faster and more than most Ainsars, and he could access important information. Now it was time to start looking for the ingredients required by the Spirit Potion formula he had obtained in the ruins. Of course, he had to accumulate a lot more first, because it would be very difficult to make a Spirit Potion, and he would probably make mistakes many times and waste the ingredients. He also knew that these materials would never be cheap, so he had to save a lot more.
When Heinald reached the city, he went to Market Square without delay. As usual, he entered the shop where he bought the plants and left after buying thousands of crystalline materials. This time, however, the ingredients for his potions weren't the only things he would get.
"Ruhen's Ink! This is it ..." Heinald walked into a bookstore, which he heard a lot. Although he heard the name often, he didn't want to waste time here because he was usually very busy. However, he was going to have some time for himself today. As he entered, the enchanting scent of the Sandalwood Incense poured into his nose, larger than any shop he had ever seen, and books were everywhere.
"Welcome!" A middle-aged man greeted him. He was Level 1 Ainsar.
"Greetings!" Heinald gave a slight nod.
"How can I help you?" the man asked.
"I'm looking for variety potion formulas." Heinald glanced around.
"Please follow!" The man pointed up to the floor with his hand. Heinald followed the man walking ahead and went upstairs with him.
"In this section you can find low and medium level formulas. For now, of course, they will only show you the properties of potions. If there is a formula you want to buy, we will have to order it." The man explained briefly.
Heinald nodded.
After all, they were not in a position to simply display valuable formulas. Potions were undoubtedly one of the most important things in Ainsar World. High-level potions in particular were definitely very, very valuable. He didn't know if there were any high-level potion formulas here, but he could guess that it wasn't. It was not surprising that the formulas for high-level potions were also monopolized by powerful families.
Heinald grabbed the little booklets and began to look.
"Middle Level Muscle Potion: Increases muscle strength by 20% for 2 hours. The rate of purity is 30%." The price of this potion formula was 5000 Arkana Stones.
"Too expensive! The purity is really good, but still..." Heinald's eyes widened when he saw the price of this formula. Such a potion would undoubtedly be very popular with Apprentice Ainsars, but would not be much preferred by a Level 1 Ainsar.
He began to look at another potion formula.
"Low Level Concentration Potion: Noticeably increases the concentration for a period of 2 hours. The purity rate is 6%." The price for this potion formula was 2000 Arkana Stones.
"Nonsense! Who would pay so much for such a thing!?" Heinald shook his head. The purity of this potion was terrible. Most likely, after drinking two bottles, the body would immediately create resistance to this potion as it would cause too much damage to the body.
"Middle Level Ice Effect Potion: Increases the Ice Element effect by 20% for 2 minutes. The Purity Rate is 20%." The cost of this potion formula was 50,000 Arkana Stones.
"Shit!" Heinald almost vomited blood when he saw this price. It was a really good form, but incredibly expensive.
"Middle Level Healing Potion: Potion with high healing speed. Its Purity Rate is 15%." The price for this potion formula was 40,000 Arkana Stones.
"Is there really that much difference with the low level?" Heinald looked at the text before him in amazement. Low Level Healing Potion's healing speed and purity was low, so it didn't worth much Arkana Stones. However, this formula was probably much more effective in terms of healing speed, which would of course be reflected in its price.
"Low Level Magic Energy Regeneration Potion: Increases the recovery rate of Magic Energy by 5% for 1 hour. The Purity Rate is 40%." The price of this potion formula was 30,000 Arkana Stones.
"The prices for these potion formulas are too high for me ... I better not look at them for now." Heinald muttered.
"Do you have a good quality Anotomy book?" Heinald went to the attendant and asked.
"I think we have a book you might like. Please wait a moment." The attendant thought for a moment and nodded.
The attendant came after a while with a thin book in his hand.
"This thin book is just a book with titles. If you like these titles, I'll bring you the original book, The Anatomy of the Earth."
Heinald picked up the fine book and, after taking a short glance, saw many different concepts he hadn't heard before in the titles. He had done some research on anatomy before becoming Level 1 Ainsar, but it was clear that he still didn't know many terms.
"What is the price of the original book?" asked Heinald.
"1500 Arkana Stones. The author of this book is Ennoj Porsen, Professor of Anatomy of the Juurn Academy, the most prestigious academy in the Kingdom of Yuel." The attendant gave some important information.
"I want this book." Heinald nodded. After all, he knew that to progress to Level 2 Ainsar he had to improve his body further, and this was only possible by understanding and knowing more about the body.
