Chapter 20: Cultivating the Jade Primal Dragon Body
Chapter 20: Cultivating the Jade Primal Dragon Body
An example would be a person who wants to drink water using a straight straw, the water would get to the drinker's mouth almost immediately.
But let's picture someone who is trying to drink the same amount of water with two hundred straws linked together in his mouth, the water might not even get to the hundredth straw before the water in the container would finish, leaving the drinker without a drop in his mouth.
As such, the person drinking with two hundred straws would need massive amount of water before he can get even a drop in his mouth. So, even if the person would suck the water much faster and also get much more water in the end, without much water to drink in the first place such person would be wasting precious time.
This same theory is applicable to people with multiple meridians. They can grow to the top of the cultivation chain but that's only provided that they have enough Qi to supplement their cultivation. This means opening the twelve principal meridians using more than one of the eight great meridians amongst other things is very costly and time consuming.
So therefore, such techniques even though they are extremely rare, they are one of the secret techniques belonging to some massive royal clan and other extremely ancient clans with deep roots, and very massive cultivation reserves.
Since one of the powerful abilities of the 'Eye of Myriad Universe' is its ability to perfect any and every technique its user is training in, it was only natural for it to show the method of opening the twelve principal meridians using all of the eight great meridians.
Furthermore, Min Hong would not face any of these difficulties due to the assistance of the glowing figures, his cultivation time would be instead shortened provided there is enough resources and Qi needed for cultivation.
He only knew that the glowing body must have perfected the technique one way or another.
Furthermore, the highest number of meridians he had ever heard of was two hundred meridians which includes the eight great and twelve principal meridians coming together to a total of twenty then each of those twenty meridians furtherly splitting into ten each.
But nine hundred and sixty? That's way overpowered and bordered impossibility.
But even though he didn't know anything about the current situation, he was no fool neither was he a new born. He knows this technique and treasure was his ticket to becoming a god and as such the only person other than himself who should know about this extremely valuable discovery is 'NO ONE!
Waking from the stupor of the discovery of a nine hundred and sixty-eight meridian technique, Min Hong calmed his overbeating heart and squashed mindset.
"The existence of this treasure must absolutely be kept a secret." Min Hong thought to himself as he gripped his tiny fists.
He understood that should the news about this treasure leak and spread out, it will surely lead to a huge commotion and this would definitely spell a great disaster to himself, the Min Family and every other living or non-living thing associated with himself.
After reaching this train of thought, Min Hong finally memorized the channel path the glowing figure displayed before retreating from his sea of consciousness. When he opened his eyes a surge of joy flushed through his entire body at the thought of unlocking nine hundred and sixty meridian channels.
"This was even more than what the meridian unlocking technique which belonged to the Tiandou Kingdom's Imperial family could allow one to unlock. Hell, even those ancient eccentric clans wouldn't have such overpowering technique."
"If I can actually unlock all these meridian channels, the quality of the Qi I absorb and the rate at which they flow would ensure that my cultivation speed is at least twenty times as fast as that of the geniuses in our Min Family. Furthermore, my battle prowess of Mid-level Qi Creation stage would at least be able to defeat Peak Qi Creation stage expert and at most hold my own against Mid-level Qi Sea stage experts."
"All that is left to do, is to get a sufficient amount of Qi to unlock these meridian channels. If my Qi source isn't enough to unlock all the meridian channels, I must at least open half of them if I am to possess such shocking battle prowess." Min Hong thought to himself as he turned around to find a ten feet large formation with a futon hovering above it.
Min Hong instantly felt euphoric. He had been so caught up in his thoughts that he had completely forgotten about the Qi condensing formation that was within the room. After sorting out the issue of level of Qi required, Min Hong didn't stand on ceremony as he leapt atop the hovering white futon.
Immediately Min Hong sat atop the futon, he felt his entire being suddenly grow calm. He first marveled at this impressive sensation, before he then closed his eyes to visualize the meridian unlocking pattern the glowing figure had displayed earlier.
As he began the training process, the dense liquid Qi beneath the formation began to rotate rapidly, and the speed of rotation only seemed to increase as time went on until a roaring sound could be heard from within the Qi pool.
The dense Qi poured towards Min Hong's eight great meridians before they were absorbed into his body. Min Hong's body was like a parched desert land that was greedily absorbing rain water. His body viciously devoured the Qi, as they entered through the eight great meridians and began to split in accordance with the lines on the glowing figure's body.
Ten minutes later, Min Hong had completely unlocked his ninety-six principal meridian channels. These meridians were as thick as the skin of a crocodile and were at least two inches wide, and they were absorbing the dense Qi below the formation at a rate visible to the naked eye.
After about an hour, Min Hong had already opened nine hundred meridian channels, but there was still a tenth of the liquid Qi present underneath the formation, so he decided to continue. About ten minutes later Min Hong finally unlocked the remaining sixty meridian channels, and by this time only a bit of dense Qi was left beneath the formation.
Min Hong stared at this formation in awe, only the heavens know how long this formation had been accumulating Qi. He was just about to leave when he noticed that there was something was at the bottom of the Qi pool, Min Hong immediately collected the remining Qi in a small container, as the thing at the bottom of the pool revealed itself.
It turned out to be the skeleton of a dead expert. Only the bones were left apart from a leather scroll that was firmly held in its hands, and this scroll seemed to be very important to this person as he still held it firmly even in death.
Min Hong then pried the scroll out of the skeleton's hands before unfurling it to take a look. It turned out to be a map of some sort, but this map wasn't within the region of the Tiandou Kingdom. Min Hong was slightly disappointed at this revelation but he still decided to keep the scroll map.
After, carefully inspecting this room once more to ensure that he wasn't missing anything, Min Hong finally walked out of the room towards the stream water. He had searched the entire room for an exit formation to no avail, thus he could only look to this stream water.
"If I follow the flow of this stream, I guess I should be able to leave this place through its exit point and appear by the waterfall and retrace my steps back to the grandpa's cottage. Min Hong thought to himself as this was the only plausible exit plan he had.
Without delaying any further, Min Hong leapt into the stream with a "plop" sound, before he was aggressively flushed towards the stream's exit point and out of the mountain.
Splash!
Min Hong fell along with the waterfall before smashing into the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. He was then carried along the river shore by the flowing stream water. After floating above the surface of the streaming water, Min Hong squinted his eyes as he tried to find his bearings to the Family Head cottage.
~Swish~
Immediately Min Hong squinted his eyes, he felt the 'Eye of Myriad Universe' tremble and a green glow spilled into his eyes which was most likely a mote of light within his sea of consciousness. Then everything in the area became as clear as crystal. He could see the entire courtyard as the dense Qi mist no longer posed any obstruction to his vision.
He could also see about seven Qi figures which seemed to be the members of the Min Family currently in cultivation seclusion.
He could see the natural Qi flow, and could tell that of the several Qi figures, there were two particularly bright ones, one being fiery red and the other greenish, symbolizing the 'Fire' element and 'Wind' element and they seem to be his First and Third Uncle, who were very likely to breakthrough very soon.
His sight could penetrate physical objects and see corporeal figures and images, even the Qi flowing through the grasses and the stream water in this courtyard didn't escape his detection. Furthermore, his vision could zoom objects from over a hundred meters away.
"Is this one of the powers of the "Eye of Myriad Universe"?!" Min Hong thought in delight as he muttered to himself; "I will call you "Eagle Eye". Min Hong decided to name this powerful eye technique after his nickname in his first life on earth.
"I've been indeed blessed with uncommon luck. My first lucky encounter was an overpowered primal chaos treasure, which had already displayed two heaven-defying abilities; the technique perfecting ability and now this eye technique."
"When I possess sufficient strength, I should try to pay a visit to Qing Yama and pay my respects for this life changing benefits he has granted me." Min Hong was someone who repays favour and enmity many times over. So, if you do him good, you'd get more than you bargained for and vice versa.
Since the "Eagle Eye" could let him see clearly in this blinding condition, Min Hong leapt out of the stream and returned to the family head cottage where he sat to prepare himself for cultivating the "Jade Primal Dragon Body" technique.
After settling all mental affairs, Min Hong readjusted his physical conditions and began to review his body refining cultivation method. After ten breaths, Min Hong took off his clothes, a deep breath and began.
The first phase to training the "Jade Primal Dragon Body" was to gain recognition by giving a respectful bow to the two celestial bodies before performing a ritual dance. Min Hong easily accomplished this; and immediately, his body began to exude an ancient aura which seems to be the result of the ancient rite he was currently carrying out.
After carrying out the ancient ritual dance the final phase was to sit in a kneeling position with his back to the direction of these two celestial bodies and then the ancient aura seeping out from his body should allow him to sense the solar flare and lunar water.
Immediately, Min Hong finished his ritual dance, he felt his consciousness pass through several layers of heavenly bodies, before it entered the infinite and endless void where the two enormous celestial bodies resided.
One was covered with a layer of unending ice which glowed with an icy light that illuminated one half of the endless void, while the other was covered in plumes of raging flames which also illuminated the other half of the infinite void.
Within the hall, a vortex full of countless spot of scorching hot golden starlight as well as icy cold silvery starlight appeared around the kneeling Min Hong. If Min Tian was here, he would have been shocked to stupor. This was because the mastery of this technique is always determined from the beginning.
There were three types of initiation to this technique; the first was called, "The Thread of Stars". This was the poorest type as only two threads of starlight would slowly enter its user's body, each from the sun and moon.
The second was called; "Clouds of Stars". This would cause a cloud full of starlight to descend and enter its user's body at a quite fast momentum, and was the level 99.99% of those who practise this technique achieve.
The last was called; "The Ancient Heavenly Vortex of Stars". This would cause a vortex to appear next to these celestial bodies and another will appear around its user. This is also a sign that the user would unleash this technique's maximum potential.
Furthermore, Min Hong would also attain great speed in his cultivation, because he had summoned the largest energy reserve from the sun and moon, coupled with his nine hundred and sixty-eight meridian channels. If he still couldn't achieve the best result, then he should just kill himself with a blob of tofu.
