Chapter 28 Traumatized - [Updated]
The map in my field of vision is extraordinary. In it, I see intricate details of the entire environment around me. Every tree, every stone, and every watercourse are carefully represented on a perfect scale. Minerals shimmer in vibrant tones, indicating their presence and wealth. Exotic flowers are marked with vivid colors, revealing their exact location. Even the roots of the trees are meticulously traced, offering a glimpse of the hidden secrets beneath the surface.
With a simple glance, I can identify valuable resources and potential threats in my path. It will guide me through unknown trails, showing the best way for my progress.
"BOOOM!"
Suddenly, a massive explosion erupts on the horizon, violently shaking everything around me. The ground trembles beneath my feet, and a powerful shockwave hits me, propelling me upward along with my loyal golems. The sky fills with darkness as an immense black mushroom rises on the horizon, consuming the landscape with its nefarious shadow.
The force of the explosion is overwhelming. The air is filled with shards of stone and debris that are launched around like deadly projectiles. The deafening roar echoes in my ears, and I feel the powerful impact hitting me like an invisible sledgehammer. The world around me transforms into a chaos of destruction and turmoil.
The force that propels me into the air is of such violence that I barely have time to conjure a barrier before colliding like a missile into a mountain.
"Bang!"
[Critical!]
[-99 hit points!]
Immediately, I feel my ribs shatter, the golems that served me turn to dust, everything trembles, and blood starts gushing from my mouth and ears.
The darkness of the black mushroom envelops the landscape, devouring the light and hope. Waves of magical energy propagate through the air, creating a whirlwind of turbulent forces. It is a haunting, almost apocalyptic sight that fills me with dread.
"ROAR!!!!"
Immediately after the immense explosion, a thunderous roar reverberated through the air, sending chills down my spine. Emerging from the depths of chaos, a supernatural figure appeared.
A white dragon of magnificent proportions displayed its majestic presence. Its colossal body stretched for kilometers, an awe-inspiring sight of power and strength. The scaly skin, white as freshly fallen snow, gleamed under the sunlight, creating a spectacle of intertwining pink patterns. Each scale fit perfectly, forming a gleaming and impenetrable armor.
However, it was the dragon's eyes that stole the attention. Red as glowing embers, they emitted an intense and mysterious glow. They were like blazing rubies embedded in its imposing face. This red flame created a mesmerizing contrast with its white skin, making it clear that this dragon was unique and unlike any other.
The dragon's head was impressive, with a pointed snout and sharp teeth capable of tearing apart its fiercest enemies. White, curved horns rose above its head, giving it an even more fearsome appearance. Wide nostrils expelled white smoke, enveloping it in an enigmatic aura.
Its powerful white wings extended from its colossal body. When opened, they revealed an impressive wingspan, capable of blocking the sun's rays and creating an intimidating shadow below. The feathers of the wings were delicate and soft, like rose petals, suggesting a deadly grace in every movement.
The dragon's body was muscular and robust, displaying formidable strength. Powerful legs with sharp claws supported the immense weight of the creature, showcasing its dexterity and agility despite its overwhelming size.
A long, flexible tail rose in the air, swaying with elegance. At the end of the tail, a sharp bone blade protruded, granting it a lethal weapon. It was capable of crushing and shredding any obstacle in its path, making it a formidable threat.
This white dragon, with eyes red as glowing embers and intertwining pink patterns on its skin, personified power and supremacy.
"Ding! Ding!"
[You suffered a mental trauma!]
With difficulty, bleeding and with broken bones, I open my inventory, groaning in pain with every movement. Each movement is agony, but I force myself to find a potion to alleviate my suffering. My trembling fingers grasp the small bottle, holding it tightly, knowing that it is my only hope in this desperate moment.
As I drink the potion, I immediately feel relief. The pain gradually dissipates, and my wounds begin to heal. But still, the fear lingers. It is deeply rooted in my heart, threatening to dominate my thoughts and actions.
The vision of the immense destroyer monster, the black mushroom, remains fresh in my mind. Its overwhelming power, capable of transforming landscapes into ruins and consuming light and hope, is terrifying. Legitimate fear takes hold of me, and a sense of helplessness and vulnerability settles in.
Digging deep into the earth becomes my only option. It is a primal reflex, a survival instinct that urges me to hide from the eyes of the relentless monster. Each block of dirt is a painful reminder of my fragility and the devastating consequences that magical power can bring.
As my body sinks into the dark and cold soil, a mixture of anxiety, despair, and determination intertwines within me. I feel like a small creature struggling to survive in a hostile world. Fear is real, palpable, a constant presence in my mind.
I delve into the dark and cold soil, without bothering to place torches to light the way. With each strike of my iron pickaxe, the ground gives way, allowing me to dig deeper in search of safety. Sweat drips down my face, mixing with tears and the dirt that covers my skin.
My heart is racing, beating irregularly in my chest, like a frantic drum that announces imminent danger. The vision of the monster incinerating everything with its terrible magical energy screams in my mind every second. It is an image that threatens to consume me, that tries to drag me into a spiral of despair and madness.
I struggle not to have a breakdown, not to succumb to the panic that threatens to overpower me. But the pressure is overwhelming. Every thought is a battle against anxiety, every breath is an effort to stay focused and determined. With each pickaxe strike, a ray of uncertainty penetrates my mind, but I cannot allow it to stop me.
