The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 580 - 580 No grave?

580 No grave?

Javier was getting ready when his phone rang. He walked out of the shower with a white towel wrapped around his abdomen.

His eyes fell upon his phone and answered the call. “Yes, brother?”

“Javier, there is something wrong here.” Hearing his brother’s hoarse voice immediately got his brows into a knot. “What happened?”

“I and Sierra decided to go and pay a visit to Jack’s grave today with the children. But suddenly I saw that Jennifer’s grave isn’t there anymore?! What is happening here?” Charles’s words surprised him.

He took a few minutes to understand what Charles meant and this immediately made him suspicious “Are you sure that it was her grave which you have checked? Maybe you mistook it with someone else’s?”

“I’m sure, Javier. Jennifer’s tomb...has been removed and even the guards at the cemetery don’t know when this happened. In fact, I heard that in place of her tomb, there is another person’s tomb now. I’m sure Jennifer’s tomb was here but suddenly...”

“FIND IT OUT IMMEDIATELY!”

Javier ordered and threw his phone on the ground. Standing in front of the sink, he had to take a deep breath. His heart turned cold and his lips were set into a straight line.

‘Someone dared to touch her tomb? But who will remove it?’ his mind ran through different possibilities but nothing matched with anyone.

.....

He has enemies but doing this will not bring any benefit to anyone. It was done as if to declare to the world that she was never dead, it was only them who had presumed her dead, and this a slap on his face!

Who will try to mess with her...someone who is already dead?

Slowly Javier lifted his eyes to stare back at his own figure in front of the mirror. The mirror was filled with the vapor but he could vividly see his face. His hair was still wet but the anger never reduced anytime soon.

He was furious. Someone dared to mess with something they shouldn’t have and did something in the dark while he was away.. something is amiss in between everything.

‘But what? Why can’t I point out the danger which is lurking behind the shadows?’ he never heard anyone trying to get near her grave...

Taking a deep breath, he heard Ellen’s voice from outside. “Javier, get ready! You have a wedding to attend!” The voice pulled him out of his daze and he knew that he wasn’t thinking about this.

He needed to settle everything and get back as quickly as possible and find the person who is behind everything.

He came out from his bathroom and walked into his closet where his clothes were set for the time being. He put up one of the dark-colored suits under which was a black shirt.

Since the moment Jennifer left his life, he has worn dark clothes which complimented his cold aura.

When Javier peaked back into the bedroom, his sight landed on Ariana who was sitting on the bed obediently and wearing her long frock for the occasion. “Are You ready, Ari?” he asked in between while selecting the tie.

Behind him, Ariana looked at her father and nodded her head. “Aunt Hannah helped me in getting ready. I think we both will match our outfits today!”

Ariana commented as she got up from the bed and twirled around to show her lovely dark blue frock, where her hair were tied with a dark blue colored hair band.

“Hm..We will,” he said, keeping his eyes low. Unfortunately, before the occasion, his mood had turned grim because of the turns of events.

Yet he was defeated in the end when he heard Ari’s soft voice, “Dad, can I ask you a question?”

“Yes, my love?” He waited to hear and Ari took a few seconds to ask back. She knew her question would be further questioned by her father but she was curious to know about it. “W-will you ever marry someone now since mom isn’t around anymore? Someone like...Miss Emily?”

Her question was right and when Javier turned around he met with her twinkling eyes. He knew she was doubtful and suddenly it made him fearful.

“Why did you ask this type of question so suddenly?”

“I-I was curious. We are going to attend a wedding today....” she said as this was a perfect lie.

He was able to buy it and then she found her father relaxing. A sigh escaped from Javier’s lips as she noticed him walking to her and bending on his knees while she sat on the bed.

He held her mini hands in his hands and smiled at her lovingly, “Aren’t you overthinking, Ari?”

“Not at all, father. But you haven’t answered me,” she told him again and he bit his lower lip.

“Never, my love. I will never marry anyone else because I don’t need anyone. I only want you to grow up and be a strong girl. Daddy will be content when he will see you when you grow up...”

She smiled at his words and he patted her head again to move back to the mirror and tie his tie. His words were efficient to blow up Ariana’s fear and inwardly, she gave her father a thumbs up.

But to Javier’s ignorance, Ari’s eyes followed in her memory when she recalled what she saw in the morning today...

FLASHBACK~

When she was walking into Hannah’s room direction, she stumbled across the main lobby. She was practically lost on her way despite trying to learn the routes properly.

However, her eyes fell upon a familiar figure to see a lady and a child at a certain distance.

“Please...I really need Javier Johnson’s room number. We are known to him!” Emily pleaded but was firmly denied. “I”m sorry miss but we can’t disclose our sir’s information. It is against our policy.”

“Even if I’m his wife? You can’t do this to me!” Then Emily picked William in her arms and looked at the receptionist. “You see this boy? He is Javier’s son. Do you think Javier will listen to your words once he realizes that you have misbehaved with me, he will not leave you easily!”

Emily’s words were a bit effective and the receptionist peaked at the innocent child. Indeed his face was quite similar to Javier’s and this lady’s...but this wasn’t enough proof for her to give out.

“I’m sorry but I can’t do what is against the privacy of our customers. Please walk out.” The lady didn’t entertain her anymore and Emily frustratedly left the hotel with William.

For a few minutes, Ari was shocked but she understood very soon. ‘She has followed us here. So bad..’ she felt pity but a little bit angry too. However, then one of her father’s bodyguards approached and bowed to her.

“Miss, have you forgotten your way?”

How can she forget that this hotel was under great-grandpa and her father installed a bodyguard at every corner?

Ariana nodded her head before he led her to Hannah’s room and she pushed those thoughts back into her mind.
